As the partner of an alcoholic, I found a lot in common with the experiences of Jane Zarse. I have been the sober partner, supporting an alcoholic, and have been in a lot of the situations Zarse describes. I appreciate her frank discussion of her experiences and I feel that a lot of people will connect with her writing. For an alcoholic customer, whether in recovery or not, who may come into our store, looking for a book to connect with this is an approachable and unintimidating place for them to start. I think it's also a great book for people to better understand alcoholism, through the words and first hand experiences of someone who has been there and knows the daily challenges an alcoholic faces.
