Duck is Stuck is a repetitive book set up for children in an effort to create a read along. However, the characters have no character and the text isn’t as accessible as a classic like Brown Bear. Situation is one of the repeated words, not something most children are familiar with or understand. Obviously the conflict is that duck is stuck and at the end a couple of the animals work together to help him. The other two who can’t help cheer them on. Duck does nothing to help himself.

Duck is Stuck is a predictable text with suspense! Young children will love this book and enjoy making predictions about how Duck might get unstuck. The vibrant colors in the illustrations help make this a book that is sure to be enjoyed.
