LOVE this book. Yes we need more women solo traveling, yes we need to empower women to do it themselves. I solo traveled around the time I read this and it was amazing to read.

I enjoyed reading and looking at this book. This book is aimed at women who are traveling solo. There are short essays by women who are traveling and having adventures accompanied by some beautiful photographs. Practical as well as inspirational advice is given. It is meant to encourage you to go out and enjoy the world even if you have to do it alone. The book is well written and easy to read. Enjoy the travels.

I'm glad that I was finally able to download this book from Netgalley. Sometimes it's difficult to take that step out of our comfort zone, especially when you have to do it alone because you don't have an exploration buddy. This is a good book for women who want to get out there and see things beyond their safe little work, but hesitate at the threshold. #SheExplores #netgalley

Yes! I love reading a book about/by strong females and their life adventures, whatever that may be. This book felt like a conversation with the author and a front-row seat to the film of her adventures. She is so fearless and strong and represents an integral voice for other readers.

As someone who is almost always interested in picking up a book centered on the outdoors, this book was excellent. I enjoyed reading about how others interact with nature and how nature can unlock creativity.

In the beginning I was really excited about this book. I loved the cover and the idea of reading about women who adventure outdoors. I had no prior knowledge of the blog and website, She Explores, so it was fun learning about that as well as enjoyed the pages throughout the book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in getting started in an outdoor hobby and needs a little encouragement. It’s a great window into the lives of women who make the outdoors part of their lives and use nature as inspiration.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What a cool collection of stories from inspirational women! Not only are the stories great and diverse, but there are quite a few tips that help you with your own exploration story. Plus, there are lovely pictures that inspire as well. It is an all-around cool book that doesn't need to be read in one sitting. The stories or moments can be enjoyed piece-meal. It makes me want to, so badly, get outdoors and have some adventures.

While I would consider this a "light read," it's a great one to pick up to inspire you to get outdoors, especially if you're looking for the female perspective. It's beautiful to look at, in terms of photography, as well. A great little compilation of essays, and I really appreciate the diversity.

Inspiring collection of women’s stories from the Outdoors and from the road

First off, I read this book as an ebook, which I believe took away some of the beauty of the photographs, as I was seeing them in black and white on a small screen.
This book is a collection of stories from women from different walks of life about what being outside means to them. I have to say, I enjoyed every single one of them. The stories are grouped according to what the outdoors means to each of the women (enthusiasts, creatives, founders and professionals, nomads, transplants and advocates). All the stories mean to inspire in some way. In between, there are some tips on hiking, living on the road, making friends on trails, cooking on the road etc.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The photographs are beautiful. The stories are beautifully written and unique. I enjoyed the “nomad” stories most, they almost made me want to give up my job and start living on the road! I also liked the tips in between. Overall, I found this an inspiring read that I highly recommend. I imagine this to be a great “coffee table” book to just pick up and start dreaming.

Ive been a huge follower of "She Explores" via podcast and social media for a while now. My love for the outdoors knows no end and I thoroughly enjoy what Gale always brings to the table. This book was well written and the photography to coincide was amazing as well and on brand for the book.

This book is so wholesome. I just finished and I feel so inspired by these powerful and free women!

The book is divided in chapters with various kind of women, for example travelers, artists and professionals. In one or two pages they describe their life and why they explore the way they do. Guided by stunning photography and art, it really immerses you in nature.

What I especially love is the diversity of women in this book. It's not just privileged rich people. Even though most lifestyles are not for everyone, I think most readers can feel inspired by these women and use a little of their enthousiasm in their own life.

There's also helpful tips for exploring, hiking and camping in this book. This is a welcome addition in my opinion since it also makes the book practical. There are just enough stories in it, not too much, so that you feel you arent reading the same thing over and over.

So, I give it five stars. The photography really is so beautiful, and sets the mood so well. If you buy this book, get it as a hardcopy. That will make the photography come to life even more than your eReader or computer screen.

The blurb for this book says it’s for women who have been called “outdoorsy” and I can testify it is indeed that. There are stories of women who seem to have boundless energy, enthusiasm and bravery who willingly jump feet first into any new adventure. But I also argue that this book is for the rest of us, maybe not so brave or strong, but who long to be. Maybe our idea of exploring means flying alone for the first time, or taking a solo trip, my point is, no matter what kind of woman you are, if you have a love and a reverence for nature and solitude, this book is indeed, for you

It is hard to give my feeling about the text as I could not read the stories with the big copyright on each page. Therefore, I will just give my thought on the general concept. The idea of speaking about women and the various relationships with nature and traveling is great and can inspire women who are afraid of being solo hikers for example.
