Very bright and eye-catching photos. A good message of peace. Will help children understand and different culture.

The publisher was kind enough to provide me with a copy of this book to review. All opinions are my own and honest.

This book is amazing! As a Buddhist I often find it hard to find simple, Buddhist books for children. This is one I will definitely be adding to my collection when it comes out in print. The pictures are beautiful, yet simple and the message is lovely. The writing is simple enough for early readers to be able to read along with you. The pictures add so much colour to the story, I loved just looking at the pictures. My only issue, which is a small one, is the farm scene. Buddhism is about compassion for ALL beings, not just humans and therefore I am vegan. The farm scene shows the fairy tale version of what a farm is and I feel that it is an injustice to the animals that are murdered for others enjoyment. That might be a little harsh but compassion for all is truly meant for all. When I read this story to my daughter that won't be a farm, it will be an animal sanctuary. Buddha definitely would be in the cozy house of an animal sanctuary. Other than that I absolutely LOVE this book, the colours are truly captivating, the story loving and warm. It is a definite must have for all Buddhist families.

3 stars.

I liked the illustrations the most I think. They were bright and colourful and easily popular with children. The message that Budda is everywhere and in and around everything brings with it a sense of calm and peace. The writing is easy to understand and well told. Definitely recommend for those with an interest in Budda.
