Every women should read this book. Jill Eileen Smith took twelve women from the Bible that went through the same feelings and problems that we still have today. Each chapter has study questions at the end. This would make a wonderful bible study. Thank you Revell via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this awesome book. This is my honest opinion.

It is a privilege to read this authors first non-fiction work. I think I've read just about every book she has written. As usual, her reading style is comfortable and totally believable. Her characters have warmth. The research is flawless. I've read all these bible stories before, several times in fact. Often I wonder "what if" or "how did they feel?" It's amazing to find that Jill Smith must have the similar musings and questions. The way she develops each chapter seems to suggest it.
I would recommend this book to anyone. I can't wait to receive a hard copy so I can reread, underline and enjoy it in depth. I plan on gifting a few copies myself.

Jill Eileen Smith offers women compassion and encouragement in the face of regrets, disappointment, betrayal, and more in this concise study of twelve Old Testament women. Drawing on her years of experience in bringing Biblical people to life through fiction, she invites readers to walk a mile in these women’s shoes and explore their disappointments and the choices that impacted their lives, from Eve’s regret following the fall through to Rachel’s anger at her father and sister’s betrayal and Zipporah’s frustration with a God who makes demands she doesn’t understand.

With gentle wisdom, Jill Eileen Smith leads readers to consider how they can learn from these women and grow their trust in the Lord no matter what circumstances they find themselves in. Brief discussion questions at the end of each chapter make this an ideal resource for small groups or individual study.
