This was such a fun collection of essays from a woman who used to work with President Obama during his White House days. Mastromonaco has some great anecdotes of her time in politics, as well as some of her other adventures in life. I loved her style of writing - so fresh and insightful, but also really funny as well. The only thing I disliked was the order some of the stories were told in. Because it wasn't chronological, sometimes it took me out of the story to hear tales from her youth and then jump right back into present times. I hope she decides to write another book because I'd be interested to hear her take on the rest of the Trump presidency (as this was written in 2019). I would recommend this to anyone who's interested in politics but wants a sillier, lighter take on things.
