Credence, Colorado may not be on your vacation list but it's definitely going to be a hot spot in the future.

Love and piglets are in the air. I know you're probably thinking that's a typo but it's not. Nothing But Trouble is a whirlwind getaway and small town living experience. She expected trouble but she never expected him. Or at least her reaction to "farmer porn"and "cowboy porn"...

Why she didn't expect a hot former jock raised in Colorado not to be able to rock a Stetson, some jeans that would melt butter, and good old fashioned farm work swear still confused me but hey, she can try and deny all she wants. (She isn't very good at it, btw.)

Fun in Credence may not be what you are used to but with the influx of new blood, I think you will love it just as much as the new transplants!

I love a good small town romance, when I read the description I knew I needed to read this. This was my first Amy Andrews book and it will definitely not be my last. I was hooked from the first page. I love Ms. Andrews not only has us invested in CC and Wade but also with everyone in the town. I completely fell for these characters and this story. This is definitely a must read. Love love love!!!

I love the anticipation of starting a new series, of meeting new characters – good and bad – and simply the discovery of a small town’s secrets and the shenanigans of its residents. There is some world building in NOTHING BUT TROUBLE, there frankly has to be since we’re meeting a lot of Credence residents who may, or may not, have their own romances told one day soon. I didn’t find it overwhelming or overly long, but then, I expect the first book to give me background like this so I wasn’t surprised.

CC and Wade are an amusing couple on so many levels. And yes, they are in so many ways, like an old married couple already. It’s only when Wade realizes that he’s about to lose the only woman he’s been able to trust, depend upon and like that he starts to see her in another light. CC may have wanted to walk away from Wade and his lifestyle but she couldn’t right now, not with what’s happened with his dad. But she didn’t expect the attraction she’s having toward this very different Wade to be so strong – or to like this man more than she should. Watching them work their way through their attraction to finding lifelong happiness was an enjoyable journey. There are plenty of likable characters in NOTHING BUT TROUBLE and I’m certainly looking forward to finding out who ends up together. There is a secondary romance going on in this story as well. I’ll admit that I wish this couple had been given their own story, but I was happy for their ending as well. If you love a good romance with interesting characters then I’d definitely recommend this one.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

If you loved the movie Two Weeks Notice, you'll absolutely adore Nothing But Trouble! I truly enjoy when characters grow throughout the story and you can see their personal growth and development. The scenarios that Wade puts CC through as his personal assistant are atrociously funny, but seeing him as a cowboy will steal your breath away. Such a promising start to a new series and I can't wait for more!

Highly enjoyed this crazy emotional roller-coaster ride of a romantic journey.... it took almost losing her to realize what was there all along ... Love it!! This is a beautifully real romance filled with small town goodness, honest reflection and sweet simmering passion that will no longer be ignored. Loved this adventure from beginning to end and could not put it down. Love Credence and hope to visit again soon.

I've loved every one of AA's rugby series so when I read the blurb for this one, I was all over it. Football and small-town? YES PLEASE!!

CC is an amazing character and from the very beginning of this story, I was drawn in and wanted to race to the end to see how everything played out for her. Wade is a great character but some of his faults were big for me and I, at times, didn't think he deserved someone as awesome as his PA.

Credence is a fantastic town that I would love to visit. I can't wait to see where this series goes and who gets their HEA next!!

If the movie Two Weeks Notice and the book The Wall of Winnepeg had a baby, the result would be this beautiful bouncing book. Amy Andrews has decided to set her new series in the United States, and I am very happy at this turn of events.

At first I had an issue with Wade. His privilege and success have made him rather spoiled. So it was quite amusing to see him not get everything he wants when he wants it.

Cecelia "CC" is amazing, though. A little naive, a touch judgemental (her thoughts about a pregnant woman were medieval), but dedicated and hard working. Seeing her begin to let her hair down - figuratively speaking - and achieve her dreams was so much fun!

The town's residents are quirky and entertaining. Definitely enough foundation for a thoroughly enjoyable series. Like Stars Hollow on the Gilmore Girls.

I would have liked it if there'd been more time between Wade last dalliance with another woman, before his affections turned to CC. Not all athletes or male characters need to be promiscuous. In fact, I prefer it when characters - such as Wade's brother Wyatt - don't fall into this cliche. Would Wade have realised CC's value if he hadn't been forced into celibacy?

And some of the story is pretty predictable. But the fact that Andrews was able to make this story enjoyable in spite of the slight issues, is a testament to her abilities as an author. I've long been a fan of this Australian author, and to see her undertake this new series is a pleasure. I can hardly wait to read the next book in the series!

The fact that this author could get me to read a romance about an ex-football player when I utterly loathe sports shows how well she drew me in and kept me reading to the very last page.

Not that it's about sports. It's about two strong-willed people whose relationship started out boss/personal aide, and swiftly transcended the power imbalance implied in (male) boss and (female) employee.. Andrews managed that delicate balance by creating a no-nonsense heroine in CC, who told Wade up front that she wouldn't take any crap from him. And she sticks by that, though she works for him 24/7. The job's the job, she gets paid well, and she handles his many girlfriends with aplomb, her heart unengaged.

But that was in the city. When Wade decides he's going back to his roots, a small town in Colorado, CC puts her foot down. She has a few months to go on her contract, and Wade discovers he can't live without her. So he means to hold her to her contract . . . because he realizes he can't let her go..

She ends up reluctantlytraveling to Credence, Colorado, determined not to stay a second past the end of her contract, and how she slowly falls in love with the town, and it with her, as well as the slow-burn of the romance between Wade and CC, makes a terrific page-turner.

I fell in love with both CC and the variety of townsfolk. I also spotted many potential stories in them!

A great start to a new series. This book is a must read! Wade Carter is a retired quarterback and is suppose to be writing a book. His personal assistant Cecelia Morgan wants to move to California. She has been his PA for almost 6 years. Wade receives news that his father had a heart issue and Wade wanted to go back home to Credence Colorado to be with his family. He needed Cecelia with him. She agreed. Wade is a player and has not been in a long term relationship. Cecelia is immune to Wade's charms. What will happen between Wade and Cecelia? Will she make it to California? You must read! It is a great book! I received an advance copy of this book with no requirements and this is my honest review.

Wade and CC are such wonderfully written characters . They have depth, flaws and feelings it makes them so real to me as a reader. Yes their relationship may begin as a professional one but when they are thrown into Wade's small hometown and under the same roof it is all about to change. They are funny, sweet, charming and have that chemistry that I so love. I really enjoyed watching them grow as individuals and then as a couple . I so love small town romantic comedies !!!! Great story .

Wade Carter, former quarterback of the Broncos needed an assistant who was tough and can stand up to him when needed. For five years, he's had that in CC. Cecelia Morgan, PA to Wade, has put up with a lot from her boss, but she's been saving to retire early... but Wade calls an audible. CC and Wade travel back to his hometown and lines get blurred and crossed, and it was so good. Wade, at times, was a bit of a handful, but there was no one better equipped to deal with Wade than CC. She was tough and genuine and witty. The secondary characters were great and added depth to Wade and CC. Their chemistry was off the charts. I'm so glad I was approved for this ARC. It was a fantastic read, and I look forward to reading more from Amy Andrews!

CC and Wade’s unexpected love story in Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews, book one in her Creedence Colorado series, was a fun, charming, amazing, and amusing story that I could not put down; yes, I did read it, non-stop, in one day, getting totally lost in the story. CC has decided she has had enough as former football star Wade’s PA. Instead of accepting her resignation Wade decides they should spend the next three months in his hometown of Creedence while he finishes writing his memoir, expecting few interruptions. Imagine his displeasure when the town plans to bring more women to the area. Wade does not want this plan to succeed and works to keep it from happening. However, the townspeople are quite happy to see the new blood infused into the town with new businesses popping up and even the occasional love relationship working out; including Wade’s own brother. Wade becomes angry when his own mother convinces CC into working on this plan and helping the town!! This scheme had so much humor and funny scenes that one could not help but laugh and smile while reading.

I liked CC and Wade from the beginning, despite feeling badly for CC with all she had to deal with from Wade; things that were definitely not in her job description. CC was quite dedicated, willing to help Wade get through his writer’s block. It made me wonder how Wade would survive after CC left. I was not even sure there would be anyone who could replace CC; able to complete every demand from Wade with ease and almost a smile. I loved how well she fit into the town and was readily accepted by the townspeople, who were usually wary of strangers. The relationship between CC and Wade actually felt more intimate than many couples might have; a yin to his yang. They were perfect for each other if only they could forget their baggage, learn to trust each other, and realize it before it’s too late. Once Wade realizes how he actually feels about CC, he recognizes this loss of his PA or his “left tackle” as he often called her, will need a “Hail Mary” pass that she will never see coming, in order to keep her by his side.

Ms. Andrews wrote a wonderful, funny and charming story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving CC and Wade a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend Nothing But Trouble to other readers and look forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is a super cute story about bringing women back to a small dying town full of single men and of the romance that ensues between the woman promoting the events and a man set against them. CC is stuck in Credence because her bossy boss brought her there. She gets involved in a scheme to enliven the dead town with women and is striving to find and to promote ways to tempt single women to try out Credence. Wade, her bossy boss, is only back in Credence because his father has been ill and needs help on the ranch. He is dead set against the promotion.
There is so much tension between CC and Wade that they fail to see the chemistry there. But it is and on a grand scale.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 STARS!

Adding another new to me author for 2019 and definitely one I’d love to read more from! Nothing But Trouble is the first book in Amy’s series, Credence, Colorado. I found this one to be a charming and an enjoyable read!

I truly enjoyed CC and Wade’s story, it took them a lot longer for the romance park to kick things up and made the book a bit lengthier than I would have wanted. The hysterical banter with all characters involved were probably some of my favorite moments in the books. I liked that there was a little side story going on with Wade’s older brother as he navigates some personal things at an older age.

To be honest, I’m surprised that CC stuck it out as Wade’s personal assistant for so long especially with his revolving door of women. I loved that it wasn’t an insta-love between them and things just kind of happened. I definitely understood her hang-ups about him and why pursuing something wasn’t the best idea, but love always wins. All their moments together were just downright sweet and I couldn’t stop adoring the crap out of them.

I’m definitely looking forward to reading more in this series, I’m definitely in love with the small town that is Credence!

I really liked this book. Amy is a new to me author, but I can't wait to read more by her. Cecelia and Wade have worked together for five years and made a pact when he hired her that they would never be anything more than boss and employee. She is is right hand man, but the closer she gets to the end of the agreed upon end of her contract, the more frustrated she gets with him. He has to go home due to an emergency and he demands she go with him, she gives her notice.
When they get back to his small home town, they both start seeing the other in a new way. They are both equally confused as to what is going on and why they are wanting more now? Once Wade realizes that he doesn't want to lose Cecelia, he has to figure out a way to keep her. He isn't the smoothest at this, which is funny because he has never had a hard time with women before.
I loved the side story of his brother and appreciated that it was a man who found himself a virgin at a much older age then normal. Seeing how he let it affect him and Wade's reaction when he found out was wonderful. I thought the town's way of having more women come to town was an interesting idea and liked reading the differing opinions.
A great book. I would love to read more about the citizens of this small town. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

As always Amy knows how to turn up the heat. The book for me had its pros and cons. One of the biggest pros was that the heroine had not been lusting/loving the hero over the past 5 and a half years and after seeing his revolving bedroom like any sane woman had serious doubts over his "fidelity". Our hero Wade was a pro-athlete and obviously a player. The heroine worked for him, basically 24* & and had signed her life away for a hefty paycheck, which would help her realise her dream.

When she sees the end is near, and raring to leave, trouble with hero's family means they negotiate and she can leave earlier if she a city girl agrees to go home with him. The romance in this one is slow-burn. There has been no stolen glances and sighing the past few years which I appreciated. This was a nice, enjoyable read despite the cliched romance-land man-ho hero.

Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews
Credence Colorado #1

Big smile on my face...yep...truly enjoyed this book! Cecilia “CC” Morgan was all that a romance lead should be. She knew what she wanted and was willing to do what it took to make it happen. She was feisty, caring, intelligent, had goals, a good employee, tolerant, focused, helpful, charming and strong. Wade was a guy that was harder to warm up to but likable and knowing why he wasn’t interested in settling down at least explained why he had lived as he had and been with so many women. The way the two begin to look at one another differently is fun to watch, the growth of their feelings into something more a delight (though I wanted to smack Wade a few times), the community interaction a lot of fun and this book just made me smile :) There was a secondary romance with HEA and though it could have been a book of its own it was a pleasure to read Wyatt’s story and how he found Jenny.

This is a small town romance that was joy to read. Family, friends and community were the priority. The way the “hot men” of Credence who will get their own stories made me want MORE and the women coming into town all seem interesting, too. I am definitely looking forward to reading more in this series when it comes out.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled-Amara for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I really really liked this book! It was a solid 4 stars from me. It reminded me of older SEP books :). I loved the chemistry between Wade and CC - it was there immediately from the get go! CC is such a fierce and independent woman and she doesn’t take any crap from Wade and I loved her for that. This is a new author to me, but I love Amy Andrews writing style. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I started getting into the story line I stayed up way too late finishing this book! I was laughing so much throughout parts of this book, but it also delivered heat (lots of heat) and sweet romance. Can't wait to read more from this author!

I picked this book up because the premise was cute - the idea of a retired athlete with a fear of relationships falling for his assistant. The execution of that premise and the world building that went with it made to book even more fun.

Wade and CC are both interesting characters and they were fun to get to know. They had a great dynamic from the beginning and it was a pleasure to watch their relationship transition from strictly professional to more.

Add it a great secondary cast and cute town full of potential future stories and Nothing But Trouble makes a strong introduction to a new series.
