Absolutely hilarious! I laughed so hard I cried. The characters are great! The antics are fun. I didn't realize this was part of a series so I will be going back to read the others. This is one of my favorite authors now. It's a fast paced lighthearted read with a sweet outlook on love. Highly recommend this one!

Amusing, lighthearted, quick and easy read. It was my first book by this author and it was not until I was reading about her other books at the end of this one, that I realised this was one of a series of books. This did not in any way detract from my enjoyment of the book and I did not feel in any way that I was playing catch-up or missing out, this worked really well as a stand-alone novel.
This title sums up so much of what this book is about; the author then fills in the reasons why! Each of the chapters of the book are written from the point of view of one of the main characters. Although a few of them have done a few dubious things, I did not find any of them unbearable, and as each chapter is quite short, it soon moves onto the next character in any event!
I would recommend this book as a great easy weekend read.

I didn’t realize this was part of a series when I got it, so I was a little lost at first! That said, it was a fun read. It contains plenty of great lessons about what it means to spend your life with someone, what it takes to forgive and how much you need your friends.

No one Ever Has Sex at a Wedding was a great laugh out loud story that hooked me from the first few pages. An excellent light hearted read that certainly made me laugh out loud.

It's silly. It put a smile on my face several times. It's a perfect light read for spring break or summer vacation. It's not great literature and of the genre, I wouldn't say it's the best I've read but it's cute. No-one Ever Has Sex at a Wedding is part of a series by Tracy Bloom. This is the first I've read of the series and it certainly stands alone and gives enough pertinent backstory that I never felt lost. Ben and Katy are married and expecting their second child. At a wedding of close friends Braindead and Abby (that's not a typo - that's what they call him and honestly, they only use his real name once or twice so I don't remember it), Braindead accidentally references when Katy cheated on Ben when they were dating. No big deal, that was the premise of an earlier book in the series and Ben already knew. Phew! Except that Matthew, the man Katy cheated with, is also at the wedding. With his wife. Who knew nothing about it. Matthew and Alison were going to sneak out of the wedding reception and have sex (four kids at home - alone time is scarce!) but...no-one ever has sex at a wedding. The drama ensues as Alison pieces it together and we're off and running. Some of it is predictable and some of it is adorable - and of course, it's all about getting Matthew and Alison past this horrible revelation that could destroy their marriage.

Honestly, if I'm going to read a British, light-hearted comedy, I'm going with Mike Gayle. A little more heart and warmth.

I enjoyed this whole series. It was funny yet a fresh way of looking at relationships. I found myself rooting for the couple and enjoyed the modern theme.

I thought that the blurb for this one sounded great and I have heard really positive things about this author's previous books so I couldn't wait to get stuck in!

I did enjoy this story but I will admit that I did find it to be a little silly at times and that for me detracted from the story and dropped my star rating from a 5 star read to a 4 star.

I thought that the characters were well developed and I loved how they 'bounced' off each other too. The interaction is what made the book so enjoyable.

Four stars from me for this one, I enjoyed it and loved the characters!

definitely an interesting and unique plot for this book. Tbh I wouldn't forgive him I cannot condone any level of cheating ugh. But its definitely humorous and funny to read and see who will the problem roll on or how they solve it.

It was my first book from Tracy Bloom - I knew she had another book, No-One Ever Has Sex On A Tuesday - but I didn’t realise that this was her fourth book in the series!
However, this was still enjoyable as a stand-alone read, there aren’t too many references back to previous books that you’d feel lost.
It’s not a book that I will remember for years to come, but the characters were likeable, the writing good and I laughed out loud a couple of times. I’d say this would make a nice holiday/ vacation read, when you just need something light to keep you company!

Thank you NetGalley, the publishers and the author for my free advanced copy to read and review!

Tracy Bloom always manages to make me smile. This book is no exception. A group of friends get together for a wedding, what could possibly go wrong. The groom gets carried away with his speech and reveals that two of the group, married to other people once had a one night stand. The wedding celebrations are ruined so is a marriage. This sounds sad but it turns into a fun story.

Looking for a light hearted, fun read? Look no further!
Tracy Bloom’s latest book is actually a sequel but works perfectly well as a stand alone book.
We begin the story with an anxious groom worrying about whether sex needs to happen on the wedding night for the marriage to be legal. He even asks the registrar!
The groom’s name is Braindead…
Then, during the reception, Braindead’s groom speech does not go well: he tells the guests that his best man’s wife Katy cheated on him with her ex at a school reunion.
That’s bad enough but the ex in question is present at the wedding with his wife! Alison quickly works out that it is her husband and unsurprisingly storms out.
Their marriage is in tatters whilst Braindead is haunted with regret and can’t fulfil his wedding night duties.
In the weeks that follow Katy is trying to cope with her gay best friend’s wedding plans being derailed by the decision for a double wedding with his soon to be dad in law and bride who happens to be Katy’s mum. Will the wedding work out or is sex off the menu for these couples too…?
The characters in this book are just great. They are down to earth and seem very real. Yes, their situation is extraordinary but I feel that they were naturally depicted and behaved as I would expect me and my friends to in similar circumstances.
I found myself laughing out loud, cringing in horror and thoroughly enjoying the book from cover to cover.

Very light-hearted and funny romance title, ideal for a travel or commute read. This is farcical story which reminded me of a Noel Coward-style play. None of it would happen in real life, and everything falls apart because of all the main characters' inability to communicate with each other about how they really feel. Luckily for the plot, friendship over long periods of time forgives much, and there is a happy ending involving a circus (a metaphor for the whole book!)

Whilst it was very easy to read this title without previously meeting any of the characters in the earlier outings, the references to previous events (presumably which unfold in the other titles) were repetitive and heavy handed. I now don't feel the need to go back and read anything else in the series as the major plot points are more than alluded to. There are some lovely points along the way, where you really feel Tracy Bloom's true feelings on life (and maybe drawn from her own experiences) shine out in some set pieces. These are really poignant amidst the chaos.

It is funny in places but I felt it dragged a bit in the middle and some of the characters made it annoying but having said that it is a light hearted read and a break from my usual genre. It was my first time reading anything by this author and I would check out her other books. I would like to thank the publishers and netgalley for letting me have the book to review and the opinions expressed are entirely my own views.

This was just okay for me. I didn’t find it to be overly riveting, but it was enjoyable. I would try another from this author but I fear it might be formulaic and just not my preferred style.

No-one Ever has Sex at a Wedding was a cute story about a giant faux pas made by the groom during his wedding speech. His slip up spilled a secret that had been safely kept for years and is now ruining the lives of some of his best friends. Quick, easy read!

I really enjoyed this book. - so full of odd characters (yes, Braindead, I mean you!) and awful revelations. This is part of a series, but having not read any of the others, I didn't feel as though I had to or that I had missed out significantly.

Ms Bloom had me laughing and cringing at the same time.

Well having only arrived at this series with this book I feel I have been missing out on endless laugh out load moments....fear not this error in judgement shall be rectified pronto and I will be up to speed in no time. Mainly to see what other catastrophic moments Braindead can commandeer. He really is the best character....a laugh a moment and definitely the comic relief who stole all the best moments.

The story line is an absolute scream and jam packed with hilarious face-palm moments, a wedding or three and hand on heart touching interludes....I loved every minute of it. The characters were witty and loveable and fit the book's comical persona to perfection to create an all-round winner of a story.

If you haven't already guessed I loved this book and want everyone else to download it today and dive in....you won't be disappointed it's pure comedy bliss. I'm now off to find the rest of the series so I can prolong my time with Katy, Ben, Matthew, Alison, Daniel and best of all Braindead for that little bit longer.

Braindead. Who on earth would you ever call that? Braindead is really Craig who is a very loveable character however I could totally see by 4 chapters in why he had been given this name many years before. I haven’t read the others in the series and so didn’t know the background to this but I don’t believe it marred it in any way. Braindead and Abby are getting married. Ben is the best man and his pregnant wife Katy is the honorary mother of the groom as Craig lost his mother many years before hand. The plot centres around various weddings and a speech that goes spectacularly wrong. I would recommend this read for anyone of that age where weddings are a plenty and young family are around. For the rest of us, I really got rather bored at Katy “being 4 months pregnant and having to negotiate her way out of a chair” - at 4 months whilst others are running and swimming etc?? Ok so that’s my one small moan over. The rest of it was a fun, lighthearted read that left me with a smile. I did like Braindead, despite everything he came across as a thoroughly nice bloke. think four wedding and a funeral without the last bit-although is someone’s speech’s continue that could be the next in the series!

I wanted to read this book because I was looking for something funny. I would love to find another comedy like This Is Where I Leave You. I don’t think this book was at that level but there were some humorous parts, especially at the beginning.

This was the fourth book in a series. I didn’t find that an issue. There was not a lot of characters to get to know and the plot is pretty straight forward. However, it is always my preference to read a series in order.

I did not like the character, Braindead. That nickname was used throughout the whole book and I found it annoying. His character was not likable. The things he said and did were extremely stupid. But, I can see how it was necessary for the author to get laughs.

I would only recommend this book if you are looking for something funny. It was not a thought-provoking book. The characters were very shallow.

I received this galley from NetGalley.
