This book contains some of.........THEE MOST. UNHYGIENIC. sex scenes I've encountered. Theres one part where Niyol and Summer sling mud at each other at a campsite, she even falls ass-first into a mud puddle, falls asleep and get bitten by bugs. When she finally goes to the showers on site, something scares her and "I'll shower in the morning" didnt come soon enough. Niyol suddenly (like 3 days later???) thinks they could be followed and wants to sleep in the car........bro he gives her head after they spend all day caked in mud!!!!!!! And shes covered in itchy bug bites.......... then they go to the beach where they sit in the water, go to a motel then "he takes off my ocean-soaked panties" and "you taste so fuckin good" are in the same page what the fuck. Also the "I'm a bad guy, stay away" shit was presented so hot and cold, yes or no with Niyol and Summer and unclear.

Promising start to a new series. It took me awhile to warm up to Ny but he won me over in the end. Loved the interplay and tension between he and Summer.
Looking forward to reading more about The Red Dragons.

I absolutely loved the Reckless Hearts series by this author and couldn't wait to dive into this new series even though I'm not a big fan of MC sagas so it says something that I found this read kept me on the edge of my seat and up all hours of the night. Niyol is not your typical MC gang/brotherhood kind of guy and pairing him up with Summer who is as different from him as you can get kept the plot intriguing and interesting. I always enjoy when there are underlying stories regarding the secondary characters so I'm hoping that we get more from this group--there are definitely some unanswered questions. Will be excitedly waiting to see what Heather has in store for us in the future. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Her Wild Ride was a good read with well-developed characters and lots of action. Could Summer and Niyol be any more different? The chatty girl, doctor's daughter suffered from losing her mother at birth and from an absentee father but otherwise, life hasn't been too hard. The biker legacy hasn't known much nice and no normal in his entire life. Niyol's first reaction to Summer is a "she's the one" type of moment yet you'd never know it as their story starts.

The recently released ex-con and the sweet, middle school teacher are driving from the midwest to San Diego together. The fact that Summer ever breaks through Niyol's gruff exterior is quite a feat. He's broody, quiet, unpleasant. She's persistent and soon has his icy exterior melting. The trip is rife with obstacles which give the two more time and more reasons to get to know each other.

The return to their "normal" lives becomes another, very serious, obstacle. Can these two ever make their relationship work given their vastly different lives.

Oddly, the situation that I think most good girls would find insurmountable actually convinces Summer she's willing to do whatever it takes to keep her man. I'll admit, I struggled a bit with that plot twist.

The book was enjoyable the characters interesting but the action bordered on over-the-top. I still enjoyed the book though.

**Fantastic Story**
First off, this is not your typical MC read that centers around club characters and old ladies. Instead, this is a slow burn romance built between two people with an MC twist...but it's okay because it's definitely worth a read by any MC fan. This is the story of Niyol, ex-con running from his MC who he believes is out for his head, and Summer, the girl tasked with driving Niyol across the country to start over in a new place. While there is sexual attraction and tension right from the start, Niyol and Summer do everything they can to act like they can't stand each other. But there's only one thing that can happen when a road trip between two hot and sexies hits all sorts of road blocks - the layers start to peel away and their true personalities start to show and, voila, they just fit together in a way they didn't think possible. The characters themselves, even the minor background players, were well developed.. The MC comes back into play more in the second half of the book and once it does the action and drama is so good and complements the angst and romanticism that was built in the first half. And then, holy hell, plot twist!!! My stomach was in knots and my emotions were on a rollercoaster throughout this entire book. It's definitely one I would recommend and I cannot wait for the next installment! (P.S. - Please tell me there will be a next installment!!!!)

"He had a certain dominance to him, edged with a bad-boy sex appeal, and would no doubt give me the ride of my life if I asked him to."

This was my first time to read Heather Van Fleet. Of course, it was my MC Romance addiction that caused me to give her a try. I enjoyed the story, though I must say the 2nd half moved much faster than the first. But don't mind me, I was just ready to get out of the car and onto a motorcycle. I know that it was necessary for the author to lay some groundwork for the series going forward.

He's a bad boy and she's a good girl. But that doesn't stop them from being attracted to each other. The chemistry is there from the beginning. He's an alpha asshole in the beginning. But I guess that's understandable since he just got out of prison. I'm sure I'd be cranky too. Especially after learning how he ended up there.

Personally, I think she was crazy to agree to drive him. It makes good reading though, that's why I love reading fiction. The characters do things I wouldn't be brave enough to try. She's funny and quirky and holds her own with him. His rudeness doesn't get to her and she just dishes it back to him. I was especially amused by her making him listen to her choice of music on the radio.

As the story evolved the details regarding secrets and betrayals were revealed and shit got serious. The elements that I enjoy in a motorcycle club romance started emerging and I became more invested at the end. Though it's not a cliffhanger, there are still unanswered questions that the following installments will address.

I really loved this - much more than I thought I would. Full review going up as part of the book tour but it's a good read, lots of tension and drama with a steamy love story in the middle too.

Her Wild Ride is most defiinitely an apt title for this book, because it takes the reader on quite the journey. The story follows Niyol, a motorcycle club member recently released from prison, and Summer, a teacher who agrees to drive Niyol to California on a road trip. The two couldn’t be more opposite, and there is tension at the beginning of the book when their personalities clash, despite the fact that they are attracted to each other. As the road trip continues, the sparks begin to fly and Summer begins to find herself falling for this very bad boy.

I really enjoyed the characters - Niyol has definitely done some bad things in his life, but he’s a big softie inside. His feelings for Summer are obvious early on, and they only get stronger as the book goes on. The first two-thirds of the book are great - definitely 5-star quality. I did find myself beginning to lose interest in the final third of the book, as the suspense really ramps up during this period and Niyol’s behavior gets a little cringe-worthy. However, the suspenseful storyline works for setting up future books in the series, and introduces the reader to what I can only assume are future lead characters. Overall, I am glad that NetGalley provided me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. It was wholly entertaining reading about this bad boy turned slightly good.

Well the Sizzler Alert wasn't there for show ;-) Oh my god, what a wonderful story. I've read the Reckless Heart series of Heather and those guys where kind of cute. But not Niyol, nuh-uh. He is a bad ass biker, member of the Red Dragon club, just fresh out of jail. Full of scars and tattoos and dark and broody.
And we have cute as a rainbow, Summer, a teacher who also trains the cheerleaders at high school. As a favor to her best friend, who is currently on a much needed cruise with her fiance, she agrees to drive her stepbrother across the country. The drive of one week will give Summer a much needed distraction from the fact that her marriage was cancelled last minute because she caught her fiance cheating on her.
However, being stuck in a car with a hot as hell guy, who is too grumpy for his own good? Maybe not such a bright idea... Both Niyol and Summer can't help but feel attracted to each other. And when Summer discovers that the bad guy has a little teddy bear heart beneath the tough exterior and when Niyol discovers that maybe the cheery attitude of the cute girl is nothing more than an armor to the outer world, they connect.
But Summer doesn't know that Niyol's dangerous past is catching up with him and she will end up in the cross hairs. Suspense, laughter, romance and heartbreaking stories! Hold on to your bike and enjoy the ride! Heather has done it again. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Her Wild Ride is an exciting start to Heather Van Fleet’s Red Dragon MC series. But if you’re expecting it to kick off as the A typical biker story, you may be surprised. You will get drama, danger and some unexpected laughs too, but with a heroine named Summer, you will also get sunshine and sweetness as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this story as it had interesting characters, well-developed world building, and a great plot; but low and behold another author who feels the need to torture her readers by leaving us hanging with so many unanswered questions about two secondary characters within the book. Cliffhanger much? So yes, I’ll be anxiously waiting for book two!

A great read, very faced paced, couldn’t put this down, loved the dual POV well done and very distinct voices something not always done with differentiations povs . Felt was more slow burn than sizzle but I loved it regardless

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Road Trip

Summer is a good girl who teaches school and is a cheerleading coach so she figures it’s time for a break and volunteers to take her best friend’s step brother to California after he is released from prison. Niyol has just turned on his father who happens to be the Prez of the Red Dragons MC, ended up in prison for a two year stint and now wants to break away. Being in such close proximity how can two opposites not attract? Who is trying to fight it more? Summer or Niyol? And what happens when rogues are on their tail ready to take Niyol out for his ratting on a club member?

I’m looking forward as to what comes next for Summer and Niyol and the rest of the Red Dragons MC.

3.75 stars--HER WILD RIDE is the first instalment in Heather Van Fleet’s contemporary, adult RED DRAGON MC erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the Red Dragon MC. This is twenty-four year old, elementary school teacher Summer Parks, and twenty-seven year old, MC member Niyol ‘Hawk’ Lattimore’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told for dual first person perspectives (Niyol and Summer) HER WILD RIDE follows in the aftermath of Niyol Lattimore’s release from prison for a crime he did not commit. A letter warning him never to return to his beloved Red Dragon MC meant Niyol needed a quick escape from the people and Club he loved. Enter Summer Parks, Niyol’s step-sister Emily’s best friend, and the woman with whom Niyol will fall in love. What ensues is the cross-country journey from Illinois to California, between Niyol and Summer, and the potential fall-out as Niyol’s past comes seeking revenge using Summer as a pawn in the process.

Niyol Lattimore despises the man that set him up, and took him down but vengeance came with a cost, a cost that forced Niyol on the run. Never expecting to fall for the feisty beauty, Niyol struggles between head and heart knowing his past is all but a step behind as rogue bikers have been sent to destroy his life. Summer Parks needs a little R&R since finding her fiancé in the arms of another woman. Driving Niyol to the West Coast gave Summer an opportunity to make new friends but Niyol wants nothing to do with the talkative and definitely out of his league elementary school teacher.

The relationship between Niyol and Summer begins as an arrangement between Summer and Niyol’s sister Emily. Summer needs a break from her life back home, and Niyol is desperate to get out of town in spite of loving the MC life. Forced together on the road, it’s fate and circumstance that draws our couple together. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to a large and colorful ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Niyol’s step-mother Lisa, step-sister Emily, and his father Charles Lattimore ; MC members Flick, Slade, and Archer; Niyol’s former girlfriend Maya; and Summer’s grandparents Peaches and Paul.

HER WILD RIDE is a story of betrayal, vengeance, family and love. The premise is engaging and intriguing; the characters are energetic and broken; the romance is intense and hot. HER WILD RIDE is not as gritty or raw as some other MC story lines as most of the story focused on Niyol and Summer’s cross-country journey

I was expecting a fun road trip kind of story with bad boy Niyol and preppy Summer and I got that but this story was so much more than that too.

Niyol is Bad even on your usual bad boy standards but somehow we can still see that he isn't as bad as he makes out. We can see almost straight away that Niyol has some kind of feelings for Summer but he tries his hardest to resist, not wanting her to fall into his world. Summer challenges Niyol probably in ways he has never been challenged before and he likes that about her.

I loved the dual POV for this book i think it definitely needed for us to see both perspectives to enjoy the story. Heather's writing style is smooth and fun, i wizzed through this book super quickly which is always nice.

The ending left me with questions! mostly I want to know if Lisa is a traitor or if she did it for some other reason. there were a lot more twists and turns than I expected.

I have never ever read a Biker story let alone a biker romance and I didnt know that this was something I needed in my life but I do.

A fun book that I would recommend.

Her Wild Ride is a Motorcycle Club romance that follows Niyol, bad boy ex-con and Summer, high school teacher and best friend of Niyol’s step sister. Recently released from prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Niyol has decided to flee from the Red Dragon MC club to make a fresh start in San Diego, California. Summer has agreed to drive him but little does she know the trouble...and attraction that will soon ensue.

Niyol and Summer are complete opposites from totally different backgrounds but they are immediately drawn to each other. Niyol is a brooding bad boy and is constantly trying to deny his attraction to Summer because he thinks that she’s too good for him. Summer is super sweet and it’s impossible not to like her.

Although I enjoyed their romance, this book was definitely a slow burn and not quite what I’d classify as steamy or addictive. Don’t get me wrong, the sex scenes were well written but I was expecting more due to the book description. If you’re looking for a fun, character driven romance, check this one out!

Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture, and Heather Van Fleet for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

A book that definitely lives up to it's title!! From the opening paragraph the reader is locked in to an emotional cross country journey filled with tension, a bad ass hero and the school teacher who tames him. Summer and Niyol might be from two very different worlds but their chemistry was off the charts. This is the perfect beginning to a series that I hope has a lot more books. A must read!!

This was such an enjoyable read! Niyol has just been released from prison and he’s on the run from his former motorcycle club because he broke their rules. Summer, his step-sister’s best friend, has agreed to drive him across the country but she doesn’t know that he’s on the run.
Niyol and Summer are complete opposites. He’s a biker who has just served time in prison, she’s a teacher who writes cheers for the school cheerleaders. There was so much chemistry between the two of them and it was there from the very first moment they met. I really like the whole opposites attracting thing and Heather Van Fleet writes this really well.
A lot happened in this story, it was like non-stop action from start to finish and it really gripped me. It was a real page turner, always leaving me wondering what was going to happen next. There were a few surprising twists too that I liked.
I loved Niyol. One of the things I real loved about him was that even though he was supposed to be the bad boy type he had a real soft side. Like at one point he’s scared of flying and I just liked how it showed different sides to him and that he didn’t always have to be tough around Summer. Summer was so likeable. She was just a real nice, decent, thoughtful person.
This is the first book in a series and I am really looking forward to other books in this series. There are quite a few secondary characters in this book who I’m hoping will get their own books.
All in all this was a fun, enjoyable read. There’s action, hot sex scenes, great character development and, of course, a happy ending.

Her Wild Ride is a motorcycle club romance and one I thoroughly enjoyed. It's been a while since I've read a romance and I hadn't realised how much I missed reading them. This one had it all, a slow burn build up to the romance, two great lead characters, and lots of angst. Summer and Niyol were perfect and I loved their story and the struggles they faced. Both characters were well written and the plot and storyline flowed at just the right pace. It felt real and I found myself being absorbed into their story and rooting for their happy ever after.

This is the first MC book I've read and I have to say it won't be the last! The author created really sympathetic and believable characters that I was invested in right from the start. I fell in love with Niyol almost instantly - he is a brilliant main man. The story has a great pace to it, allowing us to get to know the characters and let their relationship develop a little before the action begins. It really was a wild ride and I loved it!

Okay story.

I felt this was just too long winded for me too much going on. I also felt there was too much left unresolved in the ending and the ending was quite rushed.

The characters were underwritten would have liked a little more information and more understanding of their pasts to have gotten where they were.

Side characters were pretty much glossed over with or without significance.

The twist was a good one but by the time it got to it I was over the story as a whole.

Steam factor was underwhelming also.

All up it was an okay story but I wont be continuing on with the series.
