Great, fun read! Addison is a tomboy who falls for one of her best friends Tucker. The group of five is like a pack of Rambunctious puppies getting into all kinds of mischief. The story is filled with fun antics and characters from all across the town of Uncertainty. Nonna is a hoot. As the relationship progresses Addie has to overcome her insecurities and open her heart. Tucker also has to learn to trust that he is enough as he is to be loved. The story ends beautifully and sets up for the next in the series.

This is my first Cindi Madsen book and I'm SO glad I took a chance on it. It was hilarious, endearing, sweet and sassy all in one delicious little story. Addison is the perfect Tomboy character! Her level of sass and sarcasm was right up my ally. Her and Tucker together, well that's just a lifetime of friends to lover chemistry that you can't deny. Add in some of the funniest supporting characters and town folk and what you have is a SOLID small town romance that rivals any I've ever read! This is a PERFECT summertime RomCom, on the beach, on the lake, at the pool, or even swamp side where the creatures lurk... pull up a towel and dig right in, I promise you won't regret it <3

Oh this book was just too cute! It was fun, sassy and gave me all the feels! I was quickly lost in Addie's world and her group of best guy friends. The women in her family want her to be more girly, but she's content with who she is. And her best guys like her the way she is. She likes being around them because she doesn't have to pretend to be someone else with them. When her friend Shep gets married, she's asked to be in the wedding. She's not fond of the idea, but she's fond of the new friendship she has with Shep's fiancee.

I enjoyed seeing these close friends all living in the town they grew up in and watching Tucker and Addie's relationship evolve now that he was back. They had always been each other's rock but suddenly they started seeing each other in a new light. This was a sweet, slow burn, friends-to-lovers read and I so enjoyed being in Uncertainty, Alabama with them!

This is a enemies to friends to lovers book. She's "just one of the guys" or groomsmen. Enjoyable read with some cute funny moments. I would've preferred a faster pace.

Addison Murphy has always been just “one of the guys” and her best friends are a group of guys who think of her as such. Now that one of her best guy friends is getting married, she’ll add “groomsman” to that list, too. Even though she doesn’t own a dress, she’ll get through this wedding dressed up if it’s the last thing she does.

Tucker Crawford, now a lawyer, left town for the big city but returns to his small hometown, he expects to see the same old people, feel comfort in the same old things. He certainly doesn’t expect to see a nice pair of bare legs sticking out from under the hood of a broken-down car. Tucker probably should have realized that the only girl who could possibly be under a car in a dress – a dress – would belong to one of his best friends!

Now seeing Addie in a different light; hiding the way he feels from the guys through bachelor parties, cake tastings, and rehearsals is one thing. But just as Tucker realizes that Addie truly could be the perfect woman for him— she’s leaving town to follow her own dreams. If he can’t convince her of his true feelings he just may lose the most important person in his life!

Filled with a plethora of fun loving and zany characters, especially Addie’s wonderfully funny grandmother who’s game for anything. The scenario’s will have you laughing out loud as two ‘besties’ figure out love and compromise!

I wanted to like this one. I really, really wanted to like it.

And, parts of it I actually did. Unfortunately, there were also parts of it I didn't love...and parts that got too long, and I ended up skimming the book. I was interested enough in it to want to know the ending and how it got there, but I wasn't invested enough to read all of the extra stuff that felt a lot like filler.

Addison and Tucker have been friends forever, she's one of the guys and part of the group. So, when all of a sudden she starts to feel differently toward Tucker, and his feelings also change toward her, there are some new complications that they need to explore.

Unfortunately, in the exploration of the feelings, there is a lot of time spent with the friends and the friendship...it pulls away from the story and it makes the book feel really long, without feeling like there was a lot of payoff in the relationship.

I liked the idea of this title, but not the execution and I am not really able to recommend it.

4.5 “I need us to be us.” stars!

Addie has a core group of guy friends and to them she is just “one of the guys.” They are thick as thieves and as close as can be but things are changing now that one of them is getting married. Addie’s up for groomsman duty but the fiancée isn’t too keen on her being with the guys so she’ll have to be one of the girls for the wedding. Now, she is stuck wearing a dress and heels and doing the girlie stuff she’d rather avoid just to make the bride happy and people are seeing her in a different light.

Just One of the Groomsmen is so much fun. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. It’s a sweet, lighthearted friends-to-lovers romance that had me grinning like a fool and falling in love alongside Addie and Tucker.

Addie is tough, witty, and entertaining. She likes being comfortable and has no desire to dress to impress. I love her confidence in herself and the fact that she is who she is. Tucker is a sweet, sexy lawyer who has it made. At least people think that's the case. On the outside things look wonderful but on the inside he is far from happy. He surprises everyone when he leaves his job and moves back to the town he grew up with. It’s the town his friends still call home and the town where he can finally find happiness again.

Tucker and Addie missed each other over the years when they lived in different cities and life got in the way. Now that Tucker is home, they can finally spend time together but things aren’t the same. Tucker is noticing things about Addie he’s never paid attention to before. Things are swirling in his gut when he thinks about her in a way that is completely foreign to him. He’s never thought of her as more than a friend but now that he’s felt a spark, there’s no denying the attraction.

"More and more it felt like he was seeing her for the first time, yet he still had all the good memories attached, too, which made it hard to feel neutral or suppress feelings he shouldn’t be having. Couldn’t be having."

And Addie is feeling things too. Everything is getting jumbled in her head and I loved watching her try to figure things out.

"Obviously she needed new spark plugs or to fix her faulty wiring because she was misfiring, feeling things for the wrong guy, and that could mess up everything."

Addie and Tucker have always been a little closer to each other than the rest. They offer up their feelings a little freer and rely on each other a little more. It’s clear that they have a special connection and I believed in their friendship. The banter is fantastic and they are so great together. When they start to feel things that are far from just friendly, the sexual tension skyrockets. They heat the pages as they acknowledge the change and I wanted them to dive right into more as soon as possible.

However, even though going from friends to lovers is new and exciting, it can also be scary, and the progression of Addie and Tucker’s relationship it’s really well written. The fear of ruining their friendship, the fear that the excitement would eventually die off, and the fear that they could ruin everything make them think twice. Those fears are real and understandable, and becoming more is not just risky to their own friendship but to the group as a whole. There is so much more to think about than just the two of them and in the end they must decide if becoming more than friends is worth the risk.

The story isn’t overly angsty but there is definitely conflict, and thankfully, the drama isn’t drawn out too long. Though there were moments I thought things could have been handled a little differently, the story played out nicely. The big gesture at the end is so swoony and sweet, I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. I love Addie and Tucker and am so glad I read their love story!

I loved the secondary characters. Addie, Tucker, and their friends have such a close and comfortable relationship. I loved that their friendship felt genuine. They are always having fun and they always have each other’s backs. I'll add that I am so glad Will decided to marry Lexie. I ended up really liking her and loved the friendship that evolved between her and Addie. I adored the whole gang and I desperately want more. Can't wait to see whats up next for the Getting Hitched in Dixie series.

Overall, I really enjoyed Just One of the Groomsmen. It’s the first book I have read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last.

This book was a friend to lover’s story. It takes place in a small town called Uncertainty. Addie has been a tomboy her whole life. She has been best friends with 4 boys, Tucker, Ford, Easton and Shep since childhood. Tucker moved away from Uncertainty and now years later he is back. Now that he is back both him and Addie start to notice that their feelings are starting to change. Both are not only afraid of their feelings but on what those feelings will do to their group of friend. I just love Tucker and Addie but I also fell in love with all the side characters and this small town. Cindi Madsen really knows how to tell a story. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cindi Madsen has done it again! She's brought us a wonderfully charming story with characters that will win your heart and a storyline that will have you smiling and swooning. Loved these characters and as always the writing is top notch. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.

Addie has always just been one of the guys in her group of friends. Her love of sports, poker, and comfortable clothes help her fit right in with the guys. Now that one of the group is getting married she finds herself as one of the groomsmen....err, groomspeople? With all the wedding duties she finds herself spending more and more time with Tucker and not minding it at all. Except she's starting to see him as more than just one of her besties. Not good. Not good at all. Starting anything at all with Tucker could ruin their friendship and change the whole group dynamic. Right?? Tucker disagrees and plans to prove to Addie they are worth the risk!

I enjoyed this book. It was a bit slow paced and I wish it had moved faster.
I like that Addie can take care of herself and she’s one of the guys with her friends.
Tucker has finally come back. He and Addie are partners in crime, they have been since they were kids.
The friends are all together for their friend’s wedding.
It was a cute book. I would recommend it.

Addison, known as Murphy is just one of a group of friends, male friends. Invited to a party by one of the guys,, she is surprised to find out that one of her friends is getting married. She will be one of the groomsmen because of their close friendship. On the boat where the party is being held, she sees Tucker Crawford, one of her friends. Tucker realizes that Murphy is more than just a friend but she has grown up and will she give him a chance? If not, it would break up their group of friends and the friendship that Tucker and Murphy have will dissolve. Tucker tries to hide his feelings, but Murphy is getting ready to leave to take a job in another town. If he doesn't do something soon, he will lose her forever. I loved this book. I'm from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The struggle between Auburn and Alabama is real. Such a great book and so much fun. I received this book from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for a honest review. I voluntarily read this book.

Just One of the Groomsmen was a fun and entertaining book that had me captivated from start to finish! This is a great small town romance, which is my favorite! Tucker and Addie had amazing chemistry and I loved their story! Just One of the Groomsmen is the perfect summer read!

Addison AKA "Murph" is the only girl in her group of friends. She is one of the guys and she likes it that way. Why not hang out with those you have more in common? Well with a wedding to be a part of this could be interesting.

Tucker has always loved his home and his friends. He misses them and realizes that he is pretty lonely. When he suddenly notices the body on one of his closest friends he finds he must re-evaluate his priorities.

This was such a fun start to the new series. I find this author to be a must click - and I will tell you why. This story, like many of her other books, has great humor, some hijinx, and always a great tale. Let's not forget the sexy heat and steady pace too.

Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen is the first book in her Getting Hitched in Dixie series and I absolutely loved it. This friends to lovers romance had me smiling throughout the entire story. Addison was such a great character. Just one of the guys, all her best friends a guys and she is just one of them. When one of them is set to get married, he asks her to be one of his groomsmen. Which is fine with her.

Tucker is one of those best friends and is back home, but he never expected to see Addison in such a different way. Can he take a chance and tell her how he feels or risk their friendship? They had great banter and I loved the friendship they all shared. Tucker and Addison had such great chemistry together, but personal issues seemed to keep them apart.

I loved Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen. The story was sweet and charming and had me smiling throughout the story. Such great characters and fun and light read.

Happy reading!

This is the first book by Cindi Madsen that I’ve read and certainly will not be the last. This is a fun, light-hearted summer read that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Addie was a tomboy and felt more comfortable hanging around with her group of guy friends and they felt very comfortable with her in their group. Addies’ interests were sports, poker, beer and roughhousing. She was the sweatshirt type of girl and hated having to dress up with all the girlie fancy dresses and heels.

One of the guys in the group got engaged and chose all his friends in the group to be his groomsmen...including Addie. While “life” is marching on and preparations for the wedding are moving forward, Addie finds herself attracted to Tucker, who is one of her group of friends. The feelings are reciprocated. So... do they act on these feelings? Do they decide that their relationship is better as just friends? You’ll have to read the book to find out!

I just loved this book! I don't believe I've read this author before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. If you love small town, read it. If you love friends to lovers too, the. You really need to read this. The slow build up was just addicting. I struggled to put it down and finished it olin a little over a day even though it felt on the longer side. I loved the group of friends, it really made me wish for a core of guy friends! I liked that there were inswcurities, and meddlers, and Nona was adorable. The characters were so well written, I can't wait to go find more by this author

The cover caught my attention. The blurb drew me in. However, it was the story itself that stole my heart. Madsen has a way with words. Yes, I always love her characters, but it's the dialogue that adds to the charm. Laughter is a given, however it's the heart that hides behind the words that does me in every time. We've all been in Addison or Tucker's shoes. Struggling with uncertainty, fighting our way through emotions and come to terms with change. That's what makes Madsen so marvelous, she blends pieces of reality with a hint of fairytale magic and scores heartwarming gold.

What a great start to the new Getting Hitched in Dixie Series, if Just One of the Groomsman is anything to go by this will certainly be a series you will want to read.
Addie is just one of the guys as she is the only girl in the small group that have grown up together so when one of them announces he is getting married it makes sense for her to be one of the groomsman problem is the future bride wants her as a maid of honour ..... Addie in a bridesmaid dress is not what she expected or really wants but she goes along with the plan to keep everyone happy. Tucker and Addie have always been the closest of this tight nite group but he left to become a hotshot lawyer in the city ... but now he’s back and has even quit his job to move back to his hometown. You are going to need to read the book to see what happens next.
This box ticked all my boxes , friends to lovers, small town romance, the perfect mix of love and humour as well as adorable characters. The banter between this group flows naturally as does the story and I can’t wait to see who story is next. Must read for all romance lovers
