Bree discovers something about her brother, Tyler that she wishes she hadn’t a dangerous secret, which is also the key to bringing her little sister back home….

I give this book a rating of 4 stars. The book was a quick read. It kept me wanting to read more. It also had many twists and turns. But I found at some points in the book, it kind have seemed to drag on what was happening.

This book was such an addictive read. Twists, turns, surprises that you never see coming. Who is the person behind the disappearance of Bree;s sister and why was she taken and not Bree. What does Bree know or have that the kidnapper wants? This book will keep you awake and guessing. Thank you NetGalley.

This book was not for me. I found the writing to be immature; the plot was weak and the characters not likeable. I struggled through it but, sorry to say, gave up just over half way through. Maybe more suited to a younger reader

A psychological thriller about family secrets.
Well written and the pace doesn’t let up until the end. The ending was not expected.

"She slowly reached inside and took it out. It was unsealed. She lifted the flap. Inside was a photograph of Alissa sitting on a concrete floor surrounded by concrete walls with both knees drawn into her chest. Below that, written in marker: IF YOU TELL ANYONE SHE DIES."..…...

Bree and Alissa Walker are close as sisters can be, along with their brother Tyler. A shared misery of their current home life makes them depend on each other.

Now Alissa is missing. Bree will do whatever she can to bring her sister back home. Family secrets will be revealed. Friends are keeping things to themselves. Can Bree uncover these things in time to save Alissa? Why would anyone take her 16 year old sister to begin with? What could they want?

The hunt includes tracking down Tyler, getting the truth from friends and family, and a wild ride into the dark night. Suspense and danger at every turn. Will they all survive to see Alissa again? Family loyalty and strength will be what they all need to hold on to.

This is the 5th book I’ve read by this author. I love his characters. I love the way the stories flow and keep you entertained. Another successful suspense novel by Erik Therme!

Someone knows the family and their secrets. You don’t remember me, but...”I Know You.”

Thank you Erik Therme, Netgalley, and Bookouture.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc.

This was a fairly quick and easy read. Its fast paced and quick (only 220 pages or so)

The ending seemed a little rushed though and some things seemed to have been left unfinished. This was just ok for me.

I had read several of Mr. Therme’s earlier novels (Mortem, Keep Her Close), so I was honored that he offered me an ARC of his new novel via Net Galley.

Here’s the overview:

Description
‘I can help you save your sister. But I need something from you …’

Sisters Bree and Alissa Walker share a special bond. Neglected by their parents, they have always looked out for one another. But one day, sixteen-year-old Alissa goes missing. When Bree discovers her green backpack with all her belongings, abandoned on the steps of their run-down trailer, she knows that something bad has happened …

Then she receives a chilling text message. Someone has Alissa. But Bree will have to give up something very precious in exchange.

Desperate to save Alissa, Bree looks at everyone close to their family. She’s sure that Alissa’s best friend is keeping something back about her little sister and a boy at school, and why has their estranged uncle, who they’ve not seen in years, been hanging around again?

It soon becomes clear that the person behind the message knows a lot about the dark truths within the Walker family and will go to any lengths to get revenge. And as the search for Alissa continues, Bree discovers something about her brother Tyler that she wishes she hadn’t, a dangerous secret, which is also the key to bringing her little sister back home …

A gripping and addictive thriller about family secrets and lies and the lengths people will go to protect them. Perfect for fans of Teresa Driscoll and Louise Jensen.

So – to be honest – this novel took me longer to get into than the previous ones I had read by Erik. There was a lot of dialogue and internal thinking, with less emphasis on action and descriptions. I had some trouble picturing things as I read, especially as there were a lot of twists and turns. I wasn’t sure where things were going as I read along, but I liked how they ended up.

Thank you, Mr. Therme, for giving me a chance to review another title of yours!

I am a huge fan of thrillers. I love being kept on edge while reading a book and not knowing what will happen next. When I read the blurb of I Know You, I knew that this was going to be a good book. My expectation of the book was met and then some.

The plotline of I Know You was frightening. When Bree sees Alissa’s backpack sitting on the steps of the trailer they live at, she has a feeling something terrible happened. Her feelings were confirmed when she gets a text that tells her Alissa has been kidnapped and not to go to the police. The kidnapper wants Bree to do one thing. She needs to find her brother, Tyler, and bring him to the kidnapper. As Bree searches for Tyler and Alissa, she learns that each has secrets. It is Tyler’s secrets that have an impact on her search. Will Bree find Alissa? What is Tyler’s secret? How will if effect Bree’s search?

I Know You was a very fast paced book. The plotline flew from the minute Bree got that text to the end. There were a few times where the plotline lagged, but the author was able to pull it back on track.

The characters in I Know You were dysfunctional. They were not likable. That is what made this book such a great read. Even though I didn’t like them, I could relate to them. These characters are like people that I deal with daily. That relatability made the book a good read for me.

I wasn’t surprised that Tyler was somehow involved in Alissa’s disappearance. I didn’t like him. Something about him grated on me. He reminded me of people I have known in the past.

I liked Bree. She was as tough as nails, and she was doing whatever it took to get Alissa back.

The secrets in this book were the backbone. Everyone had secrets. Each secret was worse than the last one.

There were a couple of twists in the plot that made me go huh? The first twist involved why Alissa got taken. It made zero sense to me until the second twist was revealed. That’s when I went “It makes sense now.”

The end of I Know You was great. The author didn’t hold back anything when everything was revealed about why Alissa was kidnapped. I felt bad for the kidnapper. The only thing I didn’t like was the very end. It made me go “Why?” when I read it.

A fast paced thriller which I enjoyed. This was quite a quick read but had lots of twists and turns which kept me interested right until the end. There were plenty of suspects and I was kept guessing who did it. This is also a story of relationships, family loyalty and secrets. Well written with well developed characters and a plot which kept me gripped. i enjoyed how the suspense built up through the book and I did like the ending.

A rollercoaster thriller which I recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC via netgalley in return for my honest opinion and review.
Although this novel is short page wise, it pacts a punch in a short amount of time.
The story begins with three children Bree Tyler and Alissa Walker who are apart of a dysfunctional and abusive family. The eldest Bree felt the need to step up and help around the house. Now she is 26 still living at home caring for her 16 year old sister and helping pay the bills. Then the worst imaginable happens...
I was on the edge of my seat, the twists and turns or was difficult to see where the whole story lead. I was barely in a lull that I often find happens with thrillers novels when going from place to place trying to solve the problem.
This novel won’t disappoint.

Once I started, I couldn't put it down! The twists and turns kept me interested. Finding out family secrets can be hard for anyone, but this book to it to a whole new level.

This book was really far fetched and difficult to believe. The entire thing was more fantasy than thriller. Even the twist at the end came from so far left field, it was way off. If you like totally random books which don’t make a lot of sense, you’ll love it. If you like something you can relate to or at least half believe... give this one a miss. Sorry Erik - I’m not feeling this one.

This is the second book I’ve read by the author, I really enjoyed Keep Her Close,

I Know You is totally binge worthy, and yes I read it in one setting. It is intense and fast past and I found myself flipping through the pages.

The characters are complex with a well thought out story line, not to mention many twists and turns.

I look forward to the next book by this fantastic author .

This wasn’t really for me. I limped through and struggled to continue a couple of times. I found it rushed and almost thrown together! I didn’t have a rapport with the characters and found it quite difficult.
