I love Ciara Knight’s books and this one was no exception. Well written plot, believable characters and a nice setting. I highly recommend this book. I received an ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.

Hope in Sweetwater County is a wonderful book set in a small town. The story is well written and deals with some tough topics that are so relevant today. The mature characters are relatable and very well developed. I loved this book and can't wait to read more in the series. I really enjoyed this book of second chances. I’m sorry that it has taken me this long to read about Sweet water County. Now I need so go back and read Ciara’s earlier books.

Ruth Barnes has no room in her life for anything beyond her current responsibilities, especially caring for her drug addicted son. A new man enters and she has to decide if she can help herself.

An enjoyable read in a series from this author. I haven’t read one of her stories in a while and I forgot how much I liked the others as well as this story.

This is a great, realistic second chance at love, clean romance. Highly recommended.

She hides the issues with her son when her relationship with Craig Reid deepens. He is also hiding things from Ruth, e.g., that he is a recovering alcoholic. Will the secrets and lies hinder the growth of their relationship? Will their friends from Sweetwater County be a help with their good meaning interventions or be a hindrance? Will Ruth find hope?
Although it is the 11th book of the series and some of the characters from previous books show up again (I have read the 1st and 2nd novel) this book can be read as a stand-alone. One does not have to read the previous novels in order to appreciate this story. Ciara Knight show that one can write realistic books without boosting them with extra-material affairs, sex, offensive language, ..., she presents, once again, a book with great characters. Furthermore, she does not shy away from challenging topics such as past failures and mistakes, PTSD, alcoholism, substance abuse, addiction, and recovery. I highly recommend this book to everyone who like clean and wholesome romances for relaxation.

Well described and likable characters added to the pleasure of reading this book.
I've not read this series before but will be sure to seek out other stories in it.

Single mother Ruth feels like a failure. Coping with a drug dependence on. She pretty much has put her life on the back burner. You come to know Ruth, as she struggles with every day life and hardship in, Sweetwater County, Tennessee. A great small town read with likable characters that everyone can connect with.
A slow romance develops with Craig, a sober man . Who might be able to offer more than just love.. maybe Hope.

Ciara Knight’s Hope in Sweetwater County is a contemporary romance that takes the issue of addiction straight on in an honest look at the effects it has on the person and their family. It has people I could identify with so that I could feel for Ruth and root for Craig. The fact that Ruth and Craig were older; mature in how they saw their past, the good and the bad was wonderful.

Past failures and mistakes were looked at honestly along with the heartbreak that it brings. Still it is also a sweet, warm, romantic story too. Craig deserves a second chance but he is also able to help Ruth find hers too. For different reasons she is in need a change in life too. The lesson of letting go is not so much “Tough Love” as it is knowing that a person must want change for themselves for it to happen. A lovely story with a lovely couple.

A story with a romantic mature couple,both dealing with real, serious problems, “Hope in Sweetwater County”, by Ciara Knight, doesn’t (thankfully!) suffer from the annoying, childish, unrealistic complications sometimes afflict romance novels, yet relies on a too much delayed confession and its deep implications.
I like the downplaying of the characters’ physical attributes, namely the hero’s, emphasizing their internal traits, but sometimes with Craig I felt I needed more reminding of how he looked like. I would have liked to know more about his past too, not just the general description.
Addiction, recovery, and all the lies, pain and suffering in between, are depicted in an almost dispassionate tone, as if the characters’ troubles (some past, some present) are too much to bear.
The small town setting and a cast of supporting characters (one of them so supportive but incredibly meddling) make for an enjoyable read.

Hope in Sweetwater County is a well-written tale that tackles issues of addiction and sobriety. The author has created a warmhearted community without ducking from the not-so-pleasant stuff. Tough issues, tough love, and even tougher people are supported by friends as they navigate messy, real life. I wasn't a huge fan of Cathy's... seriously she'd get on my nerves, but maybe because I haven't read previous titles by the author I'm just missing something. Overall, an easy to read, contemporary, wholesome story.

This is my first visit to Sweetwater County in the Sweetwater County series. Sweetwater County, Tennessee is a picturesque town where your neighbors are like family. This book is very intense and realistic. The majority of parents want the best for their children . Single mother, Ruth has sacrificed her life to raise her son, barely dating or having a social life. Her son is everything to her. When something affects her son's life so greatly that he hits rock bottom she feels like a failure until she realizes her adult son is responsible for his own life and helping him is enabling the behavior to continue instead of heal. A very realistic book with a sweet romance sprinkled into Ruth's life giving her just the right amount of comfort and support she needs. The title is fitting because Ruth finds hope in Sweetwater County.

When I started reading, I didn't realise I would be so hooked. I read this book, without interruptions and without stepping away from my computer in one hit. The characters were welcoming and you felt you could relate to them all including their trials and tribulations. An amazing book, one I would definitely read again
