I’ve read this series out of synch reading the last book first, then this one but it didn’t ruin the storyline at all. It was an enjoyable read and I love that each book in this series has one of the triplets as its main storyline. This one finished a little abruptly for me, not really finishing the story off. But I look forward to reading the second book in this series at Bluebell Castle. Thank you for accepting my request for an honest review. I definitely would recommend reading this series

After leaving her last job at Witherbys auction house under a cloud, Lucie goes to work for the Ludworth family cataloguing all the family valuables in a quest to get them out of a huge financial mess!
With her family history and the allegations made against her, she takes the chance of rebuilding her life.
Arthur is trying to save Bluebell Castle from ruin and Lucie is his last hope.
This is a really nice story with lots of twists and turns

This was an absolutely delightful read from start to finish. Loved the story and getting to know all of them characters as well as the dogs.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Arthur and Lucie, seeing how they come together and the obstacles they both had to overcome.

I'm looking forward to reading book 2 to this series, so much so that I'm going to start it straight away as my next book.

Bluebell Castle is full of Arthurian legend items, that have been passed down through the generations. When siblings Arthur, Iggy and Tristian find themselves in a financial bind, they decide to see if there is anything worth selling, so they put out an advertisement for an art expert. Lucie, finding herself in an art scandal in London, takes a change and applies and is given the job for 2 months. Sparks fly between her and Arthur, and it was fun watching the going ons within the castle walls. Great bunch of characters. I liked the side story of the painting as well, although that area of art is not well know to me. Loved the dogs too. A good story and one I recommend for a quick and easy romance.

ts been months as my reading/reviewing game has been totally off but today I finished #SpringSkiesOverBlueBellCastle by @sarahlbennettauthor 🏰

I've read and loved Sarah's previous books but this one took me a little longer to get into.
Not because its a bad book at all but castles/art/history aren't really my thing.
That said, once I'd overcome that, I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
To me its always something special when an author can tell a story within a story, and Sarah mastered this really well as not only do we have Lucie and Arthur's story and their respective life troubles and secrets, but as their story unfolds (which involves Lucie being suspended from her job and ending up working at the castle for Arthur and his family to try and help them out of their financial issues) Lucie discovers a journal which tells its own love story.
I was just as intrigued for the characters to discover the ending of this and find the elusive hidden tunnel as I was about Lucie and Arthur's 🤣

As always, Sarah delivers great dialogue and a descriptive setting that makes you want to dive into the pages..
I'm intrigued about Arthur's siblings though, especially his sister Iggy, so teally hoping the other books in the series focus on them

This is a delightful, easy romance. My rating 4.25.

Lucie is an art specialist working at a well-known art auction. She made a lucky find of an original piece but when it is unveiled at the auction Lucie and another associate know that a fake has been substituted for the original. Lucie is targeted as the guilty party and she is put on leave. Her initial reaction is to crawl under the covers. But her mother convinces her she has to continue to live and she earn money to pay the rent. Lucie answers an ad for an art expert to catalog everything in a Derbyshire country castle.

“Sir” Arthur became the head of his family when their father died. He is aware that the state of the finances are precarious and may require sale of items or opening the castle to tours. Arthur hires an expert but neither Arthur nor Lucie expected the other to be attractive, charming and engaging.

The family’s predecessor was clearly influenced by the Arthurian Court as the current occupants include Arthur’s twin brother, Tristan, their twin sister Igraine (Iggy), their uncle Lancelot and great-aunt Morgana. Lucie is awed by the castle and the history. Among the art pieces Lucie finds a small miniature that leads to a treasure hunt. The diaries hint that there may have been an important work of art if only they can find it…maybe in the secret tunnels that haven’t been found for more than a hundred years.

Of course, Lucie and Arthur try to avoid the attraction to each other… until they can’t. But what is going to happen when Arthur and the family learn that Lucie is under investigation for art fraud?

This is a nice, sweet romance. I enjoyed the pleasant characters and the gentle development of the romance. I was annoyed by Lucie’s whining and hiding at first so I was glad when she moved forward. I enjoy Arthurian elements and treasure hunts, so I enjoyed the plot which is enhanced by the touch of zany and light humor. I can recommend this to readers who enjoy sweet contemporary romance (and a touch of Camelot).

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quote:

‘The hellbeast is on the phone for you.’ The last of Arthur’s post-dinner good mood evaporated at the mention of his uncle’s nickname for their mother.

My Review:

This light and fluffy tale was my introduction to the delightful arrangements of words created by Sarah Bennett, and lucky for me, it was an excellent starting point. I adored her likable characters, wry humor, breezy writing style, and stealthy hits of levity. Her storylines were pleasantly entertaining and her writing was easy to follow, sweet enough to give me dental issues, and vividly descriptive. She painted colorful and vibrant scenes with her well-chosen words, and they were well beyond satisfying.

You’ll remember my Lavender Bay gush ( read it here ) and how I said I had so many books by this aithor, the super talented Ms. Bennett, on my Kindle to get to. Unfortunately this has been my first book since, but wow, was it worth the wait!

We meet Arthur as he and his brothers are scattering his father’s ashes in a very creative way that made me catch my breath.

The descriptions of the setting, their home, a stately castle complete with all the trimmings reminded me of the beauty that can be found in Ms. Bennett’s books. This was then compounded as we moved to an, um toilet where we found Lucie getting ready for one of the most important days of her lives.

I actually thought the book was going to involve the auction house she had always been proud to work at. Her thoughts on a painting she discovered are what I meant about the descriptions being compounded (ha! Got you there!!) and I was caught up in Lucie’s exhuberance and delight. But then … No I shall say no more!

I read this book late at night and sat up, highlighting and biting my lip in appreciation at the spell the words cast over me. I loved the characters, adored the settings, breathed in the art and history, and pretty much marvelled over the whole thing. I’ll admit I’d guessed the ending early on, and the finish itself didn’t quite compare to the rest of the book, but saying that the whole thing was an experience and I can’t wait to get to not only the next of this series, but back to her back catalogue. Not only an extremely satisfying read, but a fantastic one! Beyond (beyond beyond!) recommended. Thanks so muc hb to Rachel’s Random Resources and Digital HQ for the book in return for an honest review and for allowing me to be part of this fabulous blog tour!

I found the book a little confusing to start with but after the second chapter I understood where the story was going a lot better and therefore got into it a lot more. I really loved the arthurian themes and I was easy submerged into the imagination of the story.

I really liked the characters they were three dimensional and interesting and I especially loved the way Bennett described the castle and grounds, it was very vivid.

This book was a very easy read, and I was sucked in until the end.

Part one of the Bluebell Castle series by Sarah Bennett is a pretty good book. To be honest, I struggled a bit to really appreciate the story during the first half of the book but then it started to get a lot more interesting and finally I really grew to like it! I was thinking for a while to give only 3 stars to this book but then as it get better to my taste I changed my mind and I definitely give 4 stars out of 5 to this book! I can't wait to read the second part! This first part ends on such a note that Sarah Bennett managed to make me read the second part so badly!

An okay and quick read, not really my type of romance book, but still enjoyable. Good enough for a summer holiday read.
