I really enjoyed this book by Stacey Lynn. It has a very modern feel to it with the whole dating apps side to it. But I have to say I am super happy that this wasn't the way people met back in my day. Lord I sound so old just saying that!! But it's true. It's one of the few times I actually feel that something was better years ago as opposed to right now.
I adored Jonas in this book. He threw down an ultimatum that didn't work in his favour with Caitlin. I have to give him credit that he tried to move on. But as the saying goes - the heart wants what the heart wants. For Jonas that just happens to be Caitlin.
Caitlin I guess thought she was happy with a FBW situation with Jonas. That was until she lost that.
I enjoyed the premise of this story. I also thought it was extremely well written with outstanding characters. Hopefully Trey will receive his own book next.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Caitlin has a commitment phobia. Relationships, marriage and babies are not in her plans, and the mere mention of such matters leaves her on the brink of panic. But being single does not mean being alone, and her "no strings attached friendship" with Jonas works perfectly. They both get along, they like each other's company and the sex is wonderful. For two years, this agreement works and she enjoys the best, without having to get involved. But an invitation to a real date on the part of Jonas, will leave Caitlin surprise and that will be the end of the agreement between the two.
Jonas developed feelings for her. Feelings that she does not want and does not know how to reciprocate. Six months later, he moves on with his life, is dating but never forgot her. While she remains single and looking for another "fuck buddy".
When Caitlin's friend and boss asks for help to test a dating app he developed, at first she is reluctant, but after thinking it through, she realizes that it may be the opportunity to meet some interesting men, and who knows maybe find a replacement for Jonas.
And so begins the saga of a whole month dedicated to these dates. And each suitor will be more hilarious than the other. We will have the fetish guy, the one who lives with his mother, the one which obviously lied in his profile, in short, one stranger than the other. But in this sea of bad candidates, two will stand out and arouse her curiosity: Logan, with his good manners and good guy charm, and mysterious Michael, who avoids questions, but is able to make her smile with his jokes.
But as the dates progress, Caitlin will rethink her choices so far, the course of her life, and perhaps giving up Jonas was her biggest mistake. Little does she know that Jonas is also in the dating app, with the sole purpose of gain her attention. And with several options on the market, she will have to be honest and admit by which one her heart beats stronger.
The plot is a beautiful romantic cliche. It is predictable the way the narrative will take, but it is very nice to accompany these two characters. Jonas causes sighs. Caitlin annoys a little in a few moments, but nothing that harms. The book has a light, comical tone with no excesses of dramas.
Sometimes what we do not even know we want or need is right under our eyes.

This has been a fun series of standalone reads and 28 DATES was a perfect addition to the series. I had hoped to learn more about Caitlin Pappas when we met her in the first book, FAKE WIFE, where one of her best friends gets his HEA. Caitlin is a commitment-phobe but she has reason to be, in her eyes anyway.

Jonas Reeves has been in a two year friends-with-benefits arrangement with Caitlin and he thinks it's time this bartender/bar owner takes the next step and asks Caitlin out on a real date. What he doesn't expect is that she would say no.

In this second-chance-at-love story Caitlin has agreed to test her friend, Trey's, new dating app but only for thirty days because she has no intention of finding someone to settle down with even though that is exactly what the app is for. I have to say some of the dates she went on had me gagging and at one point I thought I was going to spit out the coffee I was drinking....I mean ewwww totally gross!

For me I fell hard and was rooting for Jonas from the very beginning, Caitlin eventually grew on me and since she was the one I was wanting to read about that was interesting change. This book was steamy but not as steamy as most of Stacey Lynn's books, did I feel as if I was missing anything? No, and I'll tell you why, it's because as with all of the books I have read by this author, they are well written and have you so engrossed in the story you really don't realize it until you finish the book.

WEEKEND FLING, the fourth book in the series, is due out in November and I honestly can't wait to get my hands on Trey's story and learn more about this nerdy hunk of a man.

Happy Reading!!!

Caitlin doesn’t do commitment. After seeing what her parents went through its enough to keep from wanting the same thing. She has a small circle of friends she trusts. Jonas is her friend with benefits. She can’t give him more than that. Now she has to watch him move on while she’s alone.

Jonas has been in love with Caitlin for years but she would never let him anything more. He is finally to the point where he can’t do that anymore with her and decides to move on. It’s a lot harder than he thought it would be. He forms a plan to help her see they are perfect for each other.

I really enjoyed this book and this series.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. It's a "friends with benefits" turned "lovers" story and those are some of my faves! Caitlin and Jonas have had an arrangement that has worked for her for years, but Jonas wants more. They break off their arrangement. Caitlin's best friend has designed a new app that promises your true love in 28 dates and asks Caitlin to try it out. She gives it a go and truly comes into her own. This story has some hilariously bad dates (Hello, Toe Guy) and some really great interactions between Caitlin and Jonas. I love them figuring it all out and finally taking the plunge! Great story and lovely characters.

It was a sweet read but very predictable.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I loved 28 Dates! Caitlin decides to test her best friend's new dating app after she let her friends with benefits guy go six months ago. She figures she has nothing to lose and she's realized she doesn't want to be alone forever. Oh my! Some of the dates she goes on are truly cringe-worthy and others so funny! It's a scary dating world out there and this certainty highlights what one may expect! Caitlin is slowly realising that none of her dates measure up to Jonas-her friend with benefits and how he makes her feel. But he's moved on right? Right! So she has to try to too!

Jonas is the star of the book! Such a swoon worthy hero! So thoughtful and kind. He wanted more from Caitlin and then she cut him loose. He was devastated and he has not been able to move on despite trying. When he finds out about Caitlin and the dating app, he is bound and determined to get Caitlin to see him as more than just a booty call. He sets a plan in motion that hopefully will work, or he will be miserable from epically failing.

Grab this fun read and see if Jonas gets his girl!

I really enjoyed this cute romance novel..

This is the story of Caitlin and Jonas who start out as friends with benefits. Only problem is that Jonas wants more from the relationship, sadly Caitlin doesn’t.

Caitlins boss and best friend Trey is an app designer and he has created a dating app and has asked Caitlin to test it out for him. She is willing to do so but is apprehensive about it.

She uses the app and finds a couple of guys. To feel safe she meets them at the only place that she feels safe, the Dirty Martini. That happens to be the bar that a Jonas owns. So each of her dates are under the watchful eye of a guy that is totally crazy about her.

There is a promising date named Michael that sounds interesting. This guy is funny and always seems to have a funny joke when she needs it. She is interested in him, however something always seems to come up when they are suppose to meet.

Jonas tries to move on with another girl but after 6 months of dating it just don’t seem to be going anywhere.

Can true love be found through an app for Caitlin? Can Jonas find true love?

This is a stand-alone novel that is a fast read. It’s a sweet love story that I could hardly put down.

Thanks Random House Publishers and NetGalley for the ARC of this cute book.

This third book in the series, 28 Dates, does not stand alone well. Characters from previous books make appearances so I think reading in order is best. 28 Dates was a quick read, and Stacey Lynn writes strong voiced, layered characters, which made rooting for the happily ever after easy. I appreciate Ms Lynn's talent for writing dialogue that is appropriate to character and situation.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Despite the fact that I hadn’t read the previous two books in this series, I liked the blurb and premise of two old lovers reconnecting through at dating app.

Blurb:

In the age of apps and social media, how many dates does it take to find “the one”? The author of Knocked Up and Fake Wife swipes right on love with a captivating friends-to-lovers tale.

Caitlin Pappas is a lifelong commitment-phobe. The closest thing she’s had to a relationship in the last few years was a friends-with-benefits thing that fizzled out because the guy wanted more. So when she and her best friend design a new app that promises to find “the one” in 28 Dates, Caitlin is the perfect guinea pig. Little does she know that she may have already met her match. . . .

Jonas Reeves has tried his best to move on after Caitlin didn’t want take things to the next level. Now they really are just friends . . . without benefits. Caitlin’s even a regular at his bar, The Dirty Martini. But when he learns that Caitlin plans to beta-test a new dating app on his home turf, Jonas senses a golden opportunity to win her heart. Even if he has to slide into her DMs to do it. . . .

This is more a heroine coming into her own story than the sexy romance I was expecting. Caitlin has problems with commitment, for reasons and Jonas wants Caitlin as his forever, so you can see why they had problems the first time around.

This was an okay read. It starts off with a bang, but I got bored in the middle while Caitlin was going out on dates with other men and trying to figure out what she wants her love life to look like. The ending was cute, if predictable.

I haven’t read the first two stories in this series, so I am not sure if having some previous investment in the characters' world would have improved my reaction to this story. I liked the writing and the set-up revealed in the blurb. I also like the FWB trope, but this couple was not together as much as I would have liked. The story spent most of the time working through Caitlyn's angsty reasoning to not become emotional with men and avoid relationships. I did appreciate that even though there was opportunity for additional drama at the end that it was not explored. I was ready for them to get together and be able to have some warm and fuzzy feelings along with impending sexy times.

This is the next book in the Crazy Love series. It is just as great as the other books in the series. Jonas and Cait are a great couple. This was a very cute, lovable storyline. Stacey Lynn writes swoon-worthy romances that just warm your heart and make you happy.

This book started out with a friend with benefits story. Catlin and Jonas being together in this deal for two years. One morning before leaving he tells Catlin that he wants more a commitment and that he has found someone but has not started anything because he wants her, Catlin. She Catlin says she can’t and would like to keep things as they are. He says no and weeks go by and later she meets his new girlfriend. Around this time Catlin’s boss develops a new dating app and wants her to test it out, hence 28 dates. After much hemming and hawing, she agrees which throws Jonas for a loop when he finds out. He later breaks up with the said girlfriend and gets with her boss and tells him of his plan. Though everyone thinks they would make a good fit it is up to Catlin overcoming the past and you discover what that is. It is also here that the story sort of reminds me of the movie “Shop around the corner” and “You got Mail”. Done a little differently at the end which was really nice along with the epilogue which makes up for anything at the beginning. A good story and worth the read.

I just finished this book a couple of hours ago so this is a fresh review. I usually give myself a day or so to let my feelings die down or to see if I'm still feeling the rush of a story. This one is an easy review short and simple.

It's a cute read that's light on the steam. It's a friend to lovers romance with one friend Jonas realizing he wants more than Caitlin has to offer or is really willing to offer. It takes her TIME to realize that what she has been looking for along has been right in front of her all this time. The App created by her best friend/protector/neighbor plays a part in Caitlin finding herself and opens a door for Jonas to take a chance and win a way into Caitlin's heart. I did feel that I wanted to scream a few times wanting to wake Caitlin up and say "HE'S RIGHT THERE!" I also wanted to do the same with Jonas but he's so handsome and a loveable character that I was like "You're gonna let her get away" while comforting him.

Honestly, I would compare this book to the feeling that I got when I watched Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks be a touch away from each other and it takes them like forever to be honest with their feelings. It's a cute, funny read with characters that set the story so I kinda wished for the HEA earlier. I did enjoy it.

4 Stars!

This was ok but not memorable. But it could be a me thing. I’ve been so picky lately and it’s hard for me to stay with a book till the end. Sorry.

I absolutely loved this story! Stacey Lynn is a new to me author and I definitely want to read more of her. Some books have a dose of reality that some might find intrusive, however, I think Ms. Lynn was able to achieve a good balance of reality and HEA.

This book was everything I expected from Stacey Lynn's writing. A swoon worthy hero who sets his mind on a fiery redhead who wants nothing to do with relationships but he is determined to change her mind and let her know how much he really feels about her.
Jonas finds out that Caitlyn is helping her best friend out by trying out his new dating app that he created for one month. Though she isn't doing it to find her one true love, but to really find a guy who doesn't mind being only in her bead and not her heart, Jonas decides to get Caitlyn to like him for him, without even knowing it is really him.
Even though this guy "Michael" on her dating app doesn't reveal anything too personal or send pictures of himself to her, he manages to make her smile and laugh when she needs it most. She can't help but fall for this guy who sends her corny Star Wars jokes that always brighten up her day.
When she finally lets herself realize that now that no guy will ever be Jonas or come even close to him, she turns down the guys she was talking to through the app and plans on telling Jonas how she really feels. So when they plan to meet each other at his Bar, what she walks into is something she did not ever expect, but brought her to tears and a realization that the one guy who made her laugh and smile every time they messaged, was right in front of her.

Absolutely loved this book. I really hope we get to have a story about her bestie finding love! Such a great series!
