Bought For Protection by Fiona Davenport is book Three in the Bought by the Billionaire Series. This is the story of Keaton Michaels and Garret Hansen. I have read the previous books, but felt this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Keaton is a Senators daughter and very protected but she also wants to get out from her father's control and thinks a marriage would do that...even if its not real. Garret has been hired to protect Keaton but when he learns she is looking into a possible marriage he thinks that would be the best way to keep her safe. But when he meets Keaton, he is instantly smitten with her. Nothing gonna stop him now from keeping her safe and claiming her.
Really enjoyed their story.

I liked this series. Garrett was great and in love with Keaton. Really enjoyed this series. I wanted something from Jack. Go read this book

Keaton is the daughter of a very conservative widowed senator, which has kept her in the public eye for years. She is trapped by her father's "family values" mantra and wants to get away from his constant surveillance. She enlists the help of an exclusive matchmaker to find her a husband, because she believes getting married will finally set her free from her overbearing father. Keaton gets matched to Garret Hansen, a security guru worth billions. When hired to protect Keaton, Garret decides that being her husband will provide her with everlasting security. They get married and their temporary arrangement evolves into much more.

I liked this sexy narrative. Keaton and Garret are a hot couple and Garret's domination in the bedroom is quite erotic. I would have enjoyed a little more story to go along with all of the sex scenes. Overall, a solid erotic read.

Loved it! I really do enjoy these stories. In this story we have Keaton wanting to get out from under her Dad's constant attention and gets the idea to marry someone who would do just that, from her best friend. Garrett, security world wide mogul for the government and maybe some royals, agrees to a contracted marriage, without either one of them seeing each other, Lol. Need I say more? Once they lay eyes upon each other, that contract goes up in smoke as Garrett utters the word we are all familiar with, MINE! Loving the alphaness and constant love and devotion that Garrett showers Keaton with. Great story with a sweet epilogue!!! 4.5 stars****

Garret learns that Keaton is taking drastic measures to get out of her father's prison so he steps in. Keaton is more than Garret expected and he decides that he's NOT letting her go no matter what her father thinks and Keaton thinks that Garret is the perfect man to help her get out from under her father's thumb. Garret decides to handle the situation how he sees fit and that includes telling Keaton's father that she's no longer his to use for his campaign. You really need to read this book to see how it all works out for Keaton and Garret. Will her father come between them? This book is very sexy and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book. I would definitely recommend this book.

HOT!!!! Garrett and Keaton were sooo good together. Right from the beginning the pages were burning up and the love story between the 2 was off the charts. Great story!

This book was an okay read; there was nothing special to make it stand out from other books in this genre. The romance wasn't believable, more a case of insta-lust than love. I felt Keaton let Garret away too quickly with his deception. I wouldn't pay to read this book, but if it were offered free, it would be worth a read.

Bought for protection is the third book in this series. Quick and sweet romance that you can read on a break. This is a can be read with out reading the other books in the series. Can't wait for the next book!

Hey, I just met you and this is crazy. I was hired to protect you, so marry me maybe?

I’ve never read anything by this author before and this one was super quick. It took about an hour to read so everything happened within days it seemed. It was like they met on a random Tuesday and boom, they got married that day. Virgin you say? Boom! Sex 20ish minutes later and pregnant by Wednesday or possibly Thursday. There was just a little kerfuffle with Keaton’s dad the next day, then it was just good times for the rest of the book.

I had never read anything by Fiona Davenport before this and had no expectations either way. Happily, I did enjoy her writing style and would gladly read other novels in the future.

I found the novel to be well written and the dialogue between the characters (primary characters as well as secondary) was amusing and the plot was entertaining. I found Keaton Michaels, the female primary character, to be likeable, but enjoyably flawed (you could watch her mature throughout the novel and learn from her mistakes, if you will) and relateable. All in all, it was a very quick, and fun, read.

Garret Hansen is hired by a local senator to protect his daughter without her knowing. He decides the easiest way to keep her close is to marry her after finding out she has visited a matchmaker in order to escape from her controlling father. They sign up for purely platonic relationship but things change once they meet on their wedding day. Simple, but entertaining story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Although this is a HOT & STEAMY quick read it’s not lacking in anything! Garrett & Keaton are explosive together! Keaton is tired of an overbearing dad and she thinks by getting married she will get out from underneath his scrutiny & overbearing ways. Garrett is a billionaire that is only focused on working and could care less about relationships. After these two meet and decide on a temporary wedding to solve Keaton’s problem, neither realize exactly what they’ve signed up for! A book you won’t be able to put down!!

This was hands down my favorite of the series so far! Nothing gets me going like an over the top alpha hero. NOTHING! Nobody was taking Keaton away from him. Hell, not even Keaton herself!

And she sure did own him. Mind, body, and soul! Garret and Keaton were so damn explosive together. The chemistry and the amount of love between these two were what kept me tapping on my kindle.

Like I said before, this was my favorite of the series and I hope like hell there will be more!

Lovely dialogues, blissful romance and a secret plot on the side all revolve around the most devoted and caveman of husbands you can imagine. I loved many things about this short story, though not too short. Such as the motives of the arranged marriage, the suddenly fierce lust between the characters, the very romantic declarations of forever, and the possessive nature of the husband, who's really into babies from the start :-D

The fact that she's a politician's daughter added conflict to the relationship, but only in an entertaining way, not to disrupt the very fast and cuddly nature of it.

It's utterly romantic, fast in love and wicked in bed. Perfect!

Keaton asked where she was suppose to find a husband? Ashley said Julia Connor of Luxe Connections- discreet matchmaking services. The idea stayed on Keaton's mind and on the eighth day she called the number and set up an appointment to meet with Julia Connor. Julia said she felt she could find someone that would fit Keaton’s needs’ Luxe Connections specialize in discreet because her clients value their privacy. Senator Norris Michaels- Keaton’s dad- knows she is getting restless with the amount of security he surrounded her with. He didn’t need her doing something that permanently damages his campaign or her safety. Garrett’s tram had done their due diligence, they probably knew more about Keaton than her father ever would. When Garrett found out Keaton had an appointment with Luxe Connections it rang a bell. Some of his friends found their wives through the service. He didn’t know why Keaton was looking for a husband but the easiest way for Garrett to keep her safe- Norris had hired him- at all times was to temporarily step into the role of Keaton’s husband. He wasn’t exactly husband material putting all his time and energy in his company he had started eight years ago He had no time for women and no desire to change that part. Garrett explained why Keaton was the one he temporarily wanted to marry.and why and Julia agreed to help. Garrett had a detail on Keaton for a few days to iron out all the details. Garrett was now waiting for Keaton on the courthouse steps. His driver Jack- his person driver for the last decade- had picked Keaton up. Over the years Jack and Garrett had become close, he became Garrett’s best friend. When the car pulled up Garrett went to help Keaton out of the car. When a soft hand took his a jolt of electricity shot to his groin. A long time since that happened to Garrett. He also saw she was attracted to him like he was her. Garrett had to control the urge to throw her back in the car and ravish her. Garrett wasn’t much of a talker and at the moment he found himself speechless when she confirmed who he was. Keaton tried to lighten things and said “ so, you’ve got yourself an old ball and chain . For the next year at least.” But Garrett knew she was his. He was keeping her forever. Garrett took her to his homew after they officially married. It was in the best part of town and a mansion.Than Garrett gace he a quick tour of the house Keaton let Garrett know she was a virgin when he mentioned forgetting the “In name only” and Keaton was just as willing as Garrett to forget that claus. Garrett knew he now had to take it slow to make her first time special and tender. A couple of weeks later Garrett decides he wanted Kaeton to get pregnant if she wasn’t already then she would stay with him forever. He never realized he was broken until Kaeton came and filled him. And she was his and he will never let her go no matter what he has to do to keep her.
I loved this book. I loved Keaton and Garrett together and how they interacted. Together. I didn’t love the instalust and love but it just didn’t matter enough to even bring the rating down. I didn’t want to put this down. I loved it when Garrett stood up to his father in law and Norris backed down. It was sad Keaton dad felt she was of a tool or prop for his political aspirations. I just loved this whole story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

3.75 stars. Bought for Protection was a good, easy read. This Garrett and Keaton's story. Keaton's father is running for senator and very worried about his image. He is overbearing and doesn't allow her much freedom. In order for her to break away from him, she goes to a matchmaking service in hopes to find a husband to marry. Garrett works for a security company and is hired by Keaton's father to protect her. When he finds out she is looking to get married, he hatches a plan with the help of the matchmaker to marry her, in name alone for one year only, to keep a much closer eye on her and to get her away from her father. But when Garrett meets Keaton for the first time at their courthouse wedding, it is love at first sight and he doesn't want to ever let her go.

I liked this book a lot. It is quick, instalove, sweet and sexy with a dash of drama. I enjoyed the sweetness and adoration between Garrett and Keaton. I also enjoyed the low angst and easiness of the book.

Overall, Bought for Protection is a fun, entertaining read. I enjoyed it and look forward to more from Fiona Davenport in the future!

I enjoyed this read. What I probably like most, is that it’s not trying to masquerade itself as anything it isn’t. Let me explain. In the about the author section, it says that, “The authors teamed up to create, sexy, insta-love stories filled with alpha males.” That is exactly what you get here. It’s sexy for sure. It’s basically love at first sight, and the hero is what is often considered an alpha male. It should be noted that he is also manipulative, which could have ruined the read for me. Yet, somehow, the authors made it such that he never quite crossed the unredeemable line. It helped that he was aware of his less than admirable methods and the need to come clean. That sort of consciousness made his bit of foolish bearable.

If you’re looking for a quick, super sexy read and don’t mind some insta-love and high-handedness you’ll be very pleased with this one.

On a side note: I don’t exactly get the title. No one was bought or auctioned off or anything. The hero is a security expert who was initially hired for the heroine’s protection, but the title leads you to believe that things are more tawdry than they are in my opinion.

No drama, no angst, and no other man or other woman incidents. It goes way beyond anything realistic, and that’s exactly the point. Add in lots of babies and happy ever after and you’re all set for a few hours of smexy times.

It is a full book with a happy ending and no cliff hangers which always makes for better reading! It is a full story, with an epilogue of 5 years later to avoid the guessing games of what happens next.
