A cool graphic novel that would work well for adults and teens. I"ll be recommending this one to our patrons.

Received via NetGalley for review.

The art style was interesting: all of the characters were distinct from one another, the setting was well-realized, and the monsters were interesting and realistically organic.

But I'm not quite sure who the audience is. It seems too mature for younger readers, but the main characters are all such self-absorbed teens that they're unlikable to anyone else. It's hard for me to car about characters who make stupid decision after stupid decision.

Feels a bit like a YA version of Walking Dead, with a World War Z beginning. Instead of zombies we get a kind of mad, mutated tree people.

I liked the artwork—nice colouring, good sketchwork. Very nice sketchbook at the end.

The story is pretty wordy and in general didn‘t do much for me. It didn‘t hold many surprises. However, that‘s just me. If you like the story, this could be a fabulous read for you. This has potential.

I received this free e-copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review, thank you!

The intro is too short! I felt like we were rushed into things; needed more hints about what was coming, and needed more time in town, in the base/hospital, and after. It felt like a short story without an ending. I like the way the disease operates, and liked the characters(mostly), and the art style is just fine.

The beginning of the graphic novel was pretty rushed, maybe kind of unbelievable as well.
But starting from the middle it really had me hooked. Maybe beginning in the middle and giving it as a flashback to 'how we got here' would've been better and could've made the beginning shorter and get you into the real story faster.

Nonetheless an okay read, I did have some problems with rational thoughts of the crew but in the end I did have my favourites even though the graphic novel's so short
