I will be honest the premise of Remo's story when I first read it fell flat for me. I was expecting a cookie cutter story not fit for what I thought Remo deserved.

Let me tell you, I was wrong. Remo is just Remo. From all of Cora's made men, he is a unique brand of unstable and I love it. Serafina isn't the typical heroine either. She may seem icy princess at first, but looks can be deceiving.

One thing I really appreciate about the Falcone stories is the fierce bond between the brothers. There is fierce love between them that they don't acknowledge but can be clearly seen on the pages. This cannot be more apparent then when when you are looking at the story through Remo's eyes.

And let me tell you that ending, I am so freaking happy Cora decided to throw that twist in the plot, definitely not cookie cutter. You will see such character growth between the two characters that the ending will be satisfying.

I would 100% recommend this series.

HUMUNGEOUS Book hangover – be extra warned, this book will invade your consciousness, your sub-consciousness, all your waking hours, and your sleeping hours as well! Why you ask? Well, because that happens, ………and then………..it was just wow when………….I mean how could………….So, this won’t be a synopsis review, but trust me when I say, everything you might have been waiting for, will happen. Along with some things you never thought of. But it also leaves some things yet to occur

So how did this book make me feel? Because that is kind of safe to talk about. It made me cry, a lot, a lot a lot. Aching tears, sad tears, frustrated tears, even a few happy tears. I had a couple moments when I laughed at loud, courtesy of Savio. I had moments of deep contentment, mostly courtesy of Nino and Kiara. But everything else, every emotion, putting me through the wringer came at the hands of Remo and Serafina. Together or separate, with each other or their families, they tore at my soul and my emotions could not be kept at bay

This book, in this series, these characters, in these families, well, they come to life, and I experienced everything with them. It is tortured, it is painful, but it is also so beautiful. Remo and Serafina find their peace within, and then see that calm in the other. The chaos is there, and is weaved within that peace that they find together. Heart-breaking, heart-wrenching, and heart-bursting love, and a perfect match for this wild pair!

If you are looking for a light-hearted rom-com, this book is not for you.  However, if you like a dark and twisty alpha male romance, then pick this book up now!  This book is not for the faint of heart, it is gritty, dark and violent, but it's also a great story.  Remo and Serafina are two of my favorite characters.  Both of them are so strong, and that made reading about their romance so much more enjoyable.

The story is well paced, and I didn't find myself bored like I do with so romance books.  This book was action packed.  The other great thing about this story that while it is part of a series, you can easily jump right in.  I hadn't read the previous book in the series, and not once did I feel lost or confused.

Huh Cora is killing me! Each time I start a new book with these different characters in the different mobs I become captivated and they win me and I start rooting for them, but we can't have all of them win.. Remo does win your heart and I am happy he met someone.. I wont tell you more, but grab a copy as soon as it comes out! You will not be disappointed."

4 Twisted Stars

Twisted Pride by Cora Reilly is a dark and scandalous roller coaster of a ride. So many twists and turns you never see coming! Remo & Serafina's love story was sizzling hot, that grabbed me right from the start. The utter thrill this book gave me, was oh so twisted.

Step aside . . . It's time to see Remo reign.

Remo is a cruel, yet calculated man that gets what he wants. His eyes are hell bent on Seraphina Mione, and decides to take matters into his own hands and kidnap her. She radiates innocence, and beauty . . . or so he thinks. This is only just the beginning.

I am a sucker for mafia romance's and this book . . . no words can explain it. Remo . . . there is more than meets the eye. We see a dark and menacing character, but truly he hides behind that thick mask of his. While Seraphina was a dutiful princess, following her parents every whim. With her recent kidnapping, she realizes how freeing it is to break the rules. These two families will forever be divided by recent events. There is hell to pay!

Remo and Seraphina's love story was mind-blowingly riveting. The chemistry was burning through the pages like wild fire.

"She cupped my face, her eyes fierce, almost brutal in their intensity. "You are beyond redemption, Remo," she whispered, and I smiled bitterly because I knew it."

Betrayal is at its finest hour. Twisted Pride is an action packed, sizzling love story that will leave you utterly breathless.

I have lost count of the books which I have read that have been written by Cora. I remember stumbling upon “Bound By Honor” when I had recently started venturing in to the new adult genre. I found her books to be a perfect blend of angst and romance, second chances and sassy heroines making the bad boys get on their knees.
Twisted Pride has everything that a Cora Reilly book should have. I couldn’t put the book down.

As always, I’d start off with the positives:
The book stands by its name, two people who take pride in who they are, their strengths, their weaknesses, their rounded personalities and their sharp edges, their banter and their confessions are brought together by fate, or kidnapping in this case.
A haughty mafia princess and an emotionally unstable Capo try to break the other without realizing that in doing so, they are actually breaking the walls they have constructed around their own hearts.
The book sort of reminded me of Pride and Prejudice in a very loose, very otherworldly sense.
Fina, as I like to call her now, is an Ice Princess, restrained and proper, doing what she’s told to do and accepting things as they are but deep down, she’s not that proper and she’s cold, but wait till you threaten the ones she loves, she’d go to hell and back to protect the ones she loves.
Remo on the other hand, is a ball of unbridled emotions, raw and tough, “you get what you see” sort, heartless or so it seems, but he too, will go through every hardship, every torture to protect and safeguard those who are close to his heart. Now what happens when they both come face to face?
The book was well written, the twists and turns placed at the right spots. Some scenes pulled at my heartstrings, some made me laugh out loud, like when Fina tells Remo that she’s sorry that she wasted the pumpkin soup but “I’m not sorry for throwing it at your brother. I’m sorry I missed though. You can tell him that”. Poor Savio.
Similarly, I simply love when *spoiler* the heroine gets pregnant and for the longest time since Cora had hinted at Remo’s book, I wanted him to end up being a dad. I wanted him to get Fina pregnant and Lo and Behold! It happens and it’s double the treat ;).*spoiler*
The only thing or things that I didn’t like about the book, were, well I wanted Remo to grovel a bit more (but at the same time I know he did, he wanted to play it fair, he wanted to win Fina’s heart on her own terms) but still I wanted him to show it a bit more. But again, I understand Remo’s mindset and he did grovel and sulk in his own way.
The other thing is something that’s just a personal preference and I’m putting a spoiler tag cuz I don’t wanna ruin anything for other readers, *spoiler* I can’t stomach anal sex, no matter how it’s written or why, I just can’t. I was actually glad that Remo gave up on it in the end 🙈. But yeah, that doesn’t take away from the story, it’s just, it makes me queasy. *spoiler*
All in all, the book wasn’t what I was expecting, it was the best of the three Camorra books, and I loved “Twisted Emotions” so much that I didn’t think any other book could top it, but here, I stand corrected.

I’d like to thank Cora Reilly and her team for being so amazing and trusting so as to send me the ARC for “Twisted Pride”. It was a treat to read and review this book.
