Wow Just Wow! Fierce Girl is the forth book in the series which picks up right where the last book left us! Boy have I been dying to know what happened next. This book starts with a bang and ends with a bang. There I was planning on reading a couple of chapters then before I knew it I was sucked into the world of Anna once again! OMG what a page turner.

I love the friendship that Anna and Tanya share then Tanya’s dreaded mother shows up and things take a turn, Rosie is an evil twisted bitch a character that I wanted to knock out. I was in total agreement with Anna over her and just wished Tanya would open her eyes and she her mother for what she really was.

Not only will this book keep you on the edge of your sit but the author takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with the characters has the plot thickens. I couldn’t read this book quick enough wanting to know what was going to happen next. Now I am left waiting for the next book.

Fierce Girl is full of nail biting moments which will leave you shell shocked

If you are looking for a gritty griping read then this is the book for you. Perfect for June Hampson and Jessie Keane fans

Thank you to Noelle at Bookouture for inviting me to take part on this epic tour.

Mystery & Thrillers

Pub Date 21 May 2019

I am reviewing a copy of Fierce Girl through Bookoture and Netgalley:

When loyalty seems to be everything betrayal only hits harder.

Anna Davis is grown up now, she’s no longer the naive runaway who escaped her vicious gangland boyfriend anymore. She’s tougher than she has ever been and she refuses to let anyone take advantage of her or her loved ones.

Anna’s devoted boyfriend East End baron Freddie Tyler is in trouble. It seems there is a rat in his organization and he must discover who it is and stop them before a giant mistake from his past is revealed and people want to take revenge on him, quick and brutal revenge.

Anna wants to help Freddie but she’s found herself dealing with Tanya’s Mother Whose staking a claim on Tanya’s share of the club. And Tanya is buying her Mom’s reformed sinner act Anna needs to act before their friendship as well as Club Anya goes up in smoke.

If there is one thing Freddie and Anna have learned it is how to play the game. As there enemies close in on them they will discover just how far they are willing to go to protect everything they have worked for.

I found Fierce Girl to be suspenseful with well developed characters and worthy of four out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

Fierce Girl is the latest instalment of the Tyler/Anna/Tanya series and just like the previous books in this excellent series it hits the mark from page one.Tanya is still in hospital when her long lost mum Rosie appears at her bedside wanting to put their troubled past behind them and start afresh,Tanya is so pleased to see her that she lets Rosie move in with her and share her life once more. But is Tanya being blinded by love for her mum or is Rosie the real deal ? Anna who is still struggling with her own demons thinks Rosie is up to no good but how does she tell her best friend Tanya ? and with Freddie Tyler still battling to keep the mafia at bay once again Emma Tallon has come up with a superb addition in this series of books which in my opinion you need to read from the beginning to get a real feel for the characters and their background.Well done Emma and i look forward to the next instalment in this excellent series.

After the dramatic end of the previous book, this jumps straight in….

Tanya’s mum, Rosie, arrives to help her daughter, she’s the perfect mum, isn’t she? But this puts Anna and Tanya’s friendship to the test…..will it survive?

It was interesting to learn more of the backgrounds of both Anna and Tanya……character building? To say the least.

Freddie is still Freddie, still carrying on ‘business’ and the mafia are back too with lots of insights into the violent gangland scene. But, as usual things never run smoothly in this nail biter of a thriller. Gritty, tense and will you on tenterhooks right to the very end….I’m already looking forward to the next in the series…

Thank you to Bookouture, the author and NetGalley for a free copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Anna Davis #4

Things are going from bad to worse for the main characters in this series. Tanya's mother has turned up after all these years, playing the ever loving mother and helping Tayna on her road to recovery. Anna does not trust Rosie (Tanya's mother). This book starts where the last book (Boss Girl) left off. Anna is still grieving over her miscarriage. Freddie's business is suffering and a police raid costs him a lot of money. Then Mafia boss Joe Vito comes to find his missing stooge, Frankie. If you've already read the last book you will know what happened to him.i was on the edge of my seat reading this latest instalment to the Anna Davis series. It's one roller coaster read with many twist and turns. It has a dark and gruesome storyline but I wouldn't expect anything less from Emma Tallon. This is a terrific series, so if you haven't already, read this series form the start. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Bookouture and the author Emma Tallon for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

We have had Runaway, Boss, Dangerous and now Fierce in this powerful and gripping series about Anna Davis.....as a series they run perfectly BUT importantly you can read Fierce as a stand alone ( and am pretty sure you will be ordering the first 3 after ) the author gives enough info to let you what has gone before and as say Fierce carries on where Dangerous finished
I LOVE the series, not a massive ‘series’ reader it has to be said but I look forward to Anna and family and friends ( and enemies ) latest exploits and dramas
I think this is probably my favourite of the series so far ( although as said love them all ) and the story is fast and furious and real and theres not a paragraph wasted without action, plotting or something happening, sonetimes in this genre chapters can be spun out with words but not so with these books as something happens constantly!
You never quite know what to expect but you can expect the unexpected, its at times harshly realistic, brutal even but theres always the family bond that gives the story warmth and depth
I loved Rosie in this book, Anna’s friend Tanyas errant Mum who turns up on the scene, her character is superbly awful and her narrative excellent, I loved to hate her!
The book weaves a spell as you are brought into the family and its good, bad and badder(!) carryings on and for me its flawless as a story all the way through
You can probably tell I really do love this series and this book and if your a fan of gangland/family dramas you will love it, if you’ve never tried one this is the book to start!
10/10 5 Stars

Ooh I love this series!
This is yet another fantastic read and I was hooked from the first few pages.
Anna is still getting over the shock of what happened and whilst she’s putting on a brave front, Freddie knows she’s not completely herself.
With Tanya’s life hanging in the balance last time, we start the book with her in a coma. Anna is there by her side every day and is desperate for her best friend to pull through.
Freddie has his hands full with a rat amongst the team, and also the Mafia on his back as Frank’s disappearance hasn’t gone unnoticed.
This book was so addictive, I couldn’t put it down.
It’s a great action packed crime thriller with brilliant characters.
I can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I am certain avid readers know this feeling : you want to finish a book because it has a hold on you and won't let you put it down,. On the other hand you want to extend the reading pleasure by putting it away for a bit, but you can't resist for too long. The story pulls you back time and time again.

Well, I can honestly say that is exactely what this series does to me. I have to admit I did not read book 1 yet, but the moment I found out about this series, I was hooked, seriously hooked.

People who have read the other reviews I wrote about them might remember that I fell in love with Freddie as soon as I met him. I can say that our 'relationship' is still going strong, very strong. I would marry him on the dot ;)

So, yes, dear Emma, you did it again!

Line up some 'boxes' labelled 'nail biting', 'heartbreaking', 'fierce', 'chills running down the spine' and let Emma do the mixing. I assure you she will come up with a mind blowing, utterly gripping and smashing story.

5 big, fat, shiny stars (and for Freddie as well lol). This is a series I do not ever want to end. Even after 100 books I would still be not ready to say goodbye to him (or any of the other characters).

Thank you, Emma Tallon, Bookouture and Negalley.

What did I think?

Book 4 to feature Anna Davis. What another brilliant read. Emma Tallon has really set the bar high with these books. I have loved each and every one of them.
From the opening page I was captured back into the world of Anna, Tanya and Freddie and what a world it is. If you haven't read the last book yet then you may want to stop reading now.

Tanya is still in hospital from the results of the ending of the last book. Recovery is slow but Anna is still there for her, still willing everything to be good, even though Anna is going through her own hell.
When Tanya's long lost mother turns up, Anna is very suspicious of her. Does she have a right to be or has Rosie finally turned a corner and come o make amends with her daughter.
Trying to keep club Anya afloat, dealing with so many demons is Anna taking on to much. Freddie is still by her side but knows his Anna is no this woman walking around and just functioning. He'll do all he can to help Anna and get his Anna back to him.
We do get to see a little more of Tanya's background in this book. I found it great getting to know her a little more, I feel I know these characters that bit more with each of the books I've read. Tanya's background was interesting and really added to the story and helped understand her character that bit more.

A fantastic addition to this series, another book that will have you up all night needing and wanting to read it. I just can't fault this series at all, it has everything you want from a gangland thriller. Drugs, Prostitution, betrayal, mafia, gangs, deception, family, loyalty. oh boy I could go on. Did I say this was an epic read?
At times you want to think you know which way the book is going to go, you don't so don't bother brilliant turns in this book help keep you gripped from start to end, then when you reach the end you give a big shout out of NOOOO, all the time reading the book you want to get to the end, when you get there then the end had come to soon, you want the book to go on, and on... I think another 300 pages just wouldn't have been enough. Addictive Read.

Fans of Kimberley chambers, Jessie Keane, Mandasue Heller, Casey Kelleher will love these books, I can't recommend them highly enough.

This is book #4 of the Anna Davis series. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the books in order as past events are mentioned! I have followed the series from the beginning and have loved all the previous books. I have to say though, for me, this one has blown the three previous books out of the water! To recap, Freddie is the local gangland boss and someone you really don’t want to cross, Anna is his girlfriend who runs a couple of London clubs along with her best friend, Tanya. This book continues straight from the end of book #3, Boss Girl and everyone is still reeling from what happened at the end of this book (don’t worry there are no spoilers here!).

Anna is trying to deal with the consequences of what happened and struggles to go back to her ‘normal’ life, particularly with regards to her relationship with Freddie. She’s also facing added stress with the arrival of Tanya’s estranged mother, Rosie who seems hell bent on driving a wedge between Anna and Tanya. Freddie is also facing his own stresses when it appears he has a rat in his team. Someone has been giving the police information about Freddie’s businesses, and whilst Freddie doesn’t want to believe one of his closest friends is capable of this, he knows it has to be one of them. Oh and then there is also the problem of the Mafia arriving in London…..

This book was brilliant!! This series just keeps getting better with every book! I’ve raced through this book just to get to the end to find out what’s going on! It has been one non-stop action packed read which grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let me go until the very last. I remembered all the characters from the previous books and it felt like I only read the previous book yesterday not months ago, the characters were that familiar to me! Freddie has been my favourite character in the previous books (and don’t get me wrong he still is!), but I really connected with Anna throughout this book. She’s always been the stronger character, not taking any nonsense from anyone, but this book showed her more vulnerable side! She has been seen as a hard-nosed cow (sorry Anna, I love you really!), but in this book you see that she is just human and she does have feelings, and it’s been a refreshing change to see a different side to her.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that this book has gone soft!! There are still killings, sex, drugs and guns galore! The story twists and turns, going from one character to the next, chapter by chapter. Some parts made me a bit teary, others had me shouting ‘yes’ (and then ‘no’), and others had my stomach churning with how gruesome it was!! Was it too much....definitely NOT! Should we have more….hell YES! Roll on book #5, I genuinely cannot wait!! Absolutely fan-bloody-tastic!!

Fierce Girl is another Bookouture hit, scheduled for release on 05/21/19. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Anna is a mess. After recent tragic events, she and her boyfriend Freddie are certainly not on the same page. Freddie is dealing with loss in his businesses and a rat in the family, while Anna is trying to reconnect with her best friend Tanya after she suddenly wakes up from a 2 month coma. Anna and Tanya would typically be inseparable, but the arrival of Tanya's terrible mother is putting a strain on their friendship. Together, Anna and Freddie try to seal up the leaks and help Tanya see her mother for who she really is before it's too late.

I'm not one for mob/mafia books, but I was glued to Freddie's fights with other families. This was the first Anna Davis book I've read, but I definitely plan to go back and read the first 3. This book had a good enough recap for what happened previously, but it actually made me want to read it more! I loved the twist at the end. I kept trying to guess who was causing all of the problems and I definitely didn't identify the correct culprit. I love when that happens!

If you like mystery, thriller, or mafia books you're in for a treat with Fierce Girl. Pick it up when it is released 05/21/19!

🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

We rejoin Freddie, Anna, Freddie's girlfriend and her best friend and partner in her business Tanya.

Freddie is a gangland boss, who's lively hood is under threat from an unknown source, the delivery of his supplies are being caught by the police and someone very close to him is tipping them off. As he wracks his brains to find out who he seeks help from an unlikely cause. To top this the Mafia turn up on his doorstep looking for one of their own who has gone missing whilst involved with Freddie.

After being left for dead in Boss girl (3rd book) Tanya awakes from a coma, weak but alive. Anna is constantly having flashbacks and nightmares after losing her and Freddies baby and seeing her bestfriend shot and left for dead. By Tanya's bedside is non-other than her vile mother Rosie who treated Tanya appalling as a child, she resents Tanya for stealing her youth, freedom, and independence all because she was born.
As a toddler, she drags her from her bed whilst asleep, pushes her out the backdoor in the middle of winter in just a thin nightie and nothing on her feet. She constantly put her down and told her she was ugly and useless. Now after many years of no contact, she is at the side of Tanya's bed playing the doting mother.
Anna is suspicious and doesn't trust her, thinking she has a motive.

This book grew and grew to a great crescendo of a finish. It has everything you want from a crime book.
I loved catching up with characters from the previous 3 books and see how they have grown and progressed.
I enjoyed being among them and a part of their lives, they were believable in their descriptions and I felt I knew them. I very much look forward to book 5 to see what happens next in this exciting series.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity x

I absolutely love this series, it just keeps getting better and better! I enjoyed catching up with Anna, Freddie and Tanya, after the fall out from the previous book, Anna is struggling to cope with her emotions and memories.
I have said this before in previous reviews but Emma Tallon has an excellent way of writing stories in this genre. I know when I pick one of her books up I am going to enjoy it, which for me is the sign of a great story teller. I can't wait to read more books featuring the characters I feel I have got to know well.

Fans of this series will find this a very good read. Tanya's mother- not a nice woman- has shown up as Tanya recovers from her injuries. Has she reformed? Anna doesn't think so but it's not really her call, is it? Or is it? Yep, that's a tough question. Her relationship with Freddie has been through some tough times but these two - wow what a pair. Anna is fiercely (good pick for the title) of her friends and her business. Set in the gritty world of crime and clubs, it's nicely atmospheric but focuses wonderfully on the characters. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Having joined this series of books at book 4 I was worried that I would miss out on a lot of backstory but I enjoyed this book very much and will go back and read the others too.

A fast paced story with some good twists and feisty characters. Those readers that enjoy Kimberley Chambers and Martina Cole will enjoy this too.

Just when you think Emma Tallon can't possibly get any better, along comes Fierce Girls and wow is she fierce! A fantastic read following the Tylers and of course Anna and Tanya. Loved the plot that has nicely paved the way for a further chapter. Excellent.

I was so excited to receive a copy of Fierce Girl after the last instalment Boss Girl I couldn’t wait to read it.
Continuing from the last book Tanya is still in a coma and Anna is still coming to terms with the kidnapping and the loss of her child. Every dayre she visits Tanya in hospital waiting for the day when she wakes up. She also spends most of the time, trying to keep Club Anya going and blotting out the memories of what they went through together. When Tanya has a surprise visitor, her evil mother Rosie, who was very abusive to Tanya as a child and blamed her for the death of her husband. When Tanya wakes up. Tanya thinks that Rosie has changed and wants a life with her daughter. But Anna is not so sure about that. Something doesn’t add up. Anna is very wary, when Tanya returns to work and Rosie sticks her nose into the business, that makes Anna’s blood boil.
This is another brilliant instalment in the Anna Davis series. A bit darker and more gruesome then the previous novel. Not only about gangs but about family and loyalty and being there for each other, no matter what. I loved this I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for book 5.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookoutre for a copy of this book.
