Reed and Talia really burn up the pages in this story. When Reed inadvertently mistakes Talia for Stacey a woman who was helping them with a case, things heat up in more ways than one. When he suggests that she stay at his place until they get their suspect their bond continues to solidify bit Reed is having misgivings when it comes to a committed relationship thanks to his last one and Talia has her own baggage she is carrying around as well. Will they put aside their misgivings and look at what they have right in front of them before its too late? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is the first book I've read by Rebecca Brooks and I just purchased the first in the Accidental Love series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate. I only wish the series would continue.

The book has everything I love in a story; humor, steam, sexy characters, suspense and a sweet woman that refuses to back down from a big bad tough DEA agent that pretends he isn't as attracted to her as she is to him. I admire Talia for her tenacity and dedication to her starring role in Giselle, but also her desire to lure Reed into her arms. Reed fights his desire for Talia as long as possible but melts like butter in her hands. He may be a tough guy to the rest of the world but to Talia he's a big gruff teddy bear. This is a delightful story that is a quick read and a fun love story!

Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for introducing me to Rebecca Brooks.

Though they're in the same series, Wrong Bed, Right Girl is totally different from Wrong Bed, Right Roommate. The heroine in this one, Talia, is the sister of the hero in WBRR, and she's just moved out of the apartment to let her brother and best friend have their own space. Unfortunately, the prima ballerina she's subletting from was an informant for the DEA and she's left town and the ballet for *reasons.* Talia's pretty much taken over her life, which means that when Reed comes to check on Stacey, he ends up literally falling into the bed that's now Talia's.

Unlike the first book, I had to suspend a lot of disbelief for this setup. A strange, giant man falls into my bed (he unlocked the door?!) in the middle of my first night in a new apartment? Yeah, I'm freaking out and DEFINITELY not going home with him. Even if he shows me his badge. (Oh and the hero manages to ogle her accidentally-exposed breast during her reasonable freakout.) I stuck with it because I loved the first book so much, so bear with me here.

Moving on from this improbable setup, they're now living together and things progress about as expected. This is a tropey erotic romance, so they end up having all sorts of sex in all sorts of places. Brooks employs the masturbating-while-thinking-of-you plot device, as well as condoms and lube and um... actual handcuffs on the roof the police station. (I promise it's consensual and weirdly hot.)

One of the reasons I don't read a lot of romantic suspense is because I often feel the suspense part overshadows the romance. This wasn't the case here, since the crime bits are at the beginning and the end, but I still wasn't feeling the emotional connection between the two main characters. They definitely seemed turned on by each other, but the romance bit was sort of forced. The epilogue was the most romance-y part of the book, so I get the feeling the author/editor knew it needed something more to secure that HEA.

TL;DR - This is a very sexy book with some things you may have to ignore and is higher in heat and lower in feels.

Rebecca Brooks is a new-to-me-author and when I stumbled across this new read of hers I decided I needed to read it. It was a sweet romance, as Reed and Talia accidentally crossed paths, and Reed took Talia into his home, and slowly they fell for one another.

I liked that Talia was a ballet dancer, and we had glimpses into her world. She was training hard for her upcoming lead role, but was distracted by the big, tough DEA Agent at home. I was able to see her feelings grow, and that she was willing to do anything to spend more time with him.

Reed wanted to keep Talia at a distance, but this big burly man had a soft spot for her, and she slowly broke down his walls. He had been hurt before, and has reluctant to let anyone in. When these two took the leap together, they were explosive and passionate, however, Reed found it hard to express his feelings and tried to keep those walls up between them.

Wrong Bed, Right Girl was a quick, delightful read. It had a touch of suspense as Talia put herself in a little danger to help Reed and a case that he was working on. I rarely read books in the third perspective any more, but once I started the book, it didn't take long to be swept away with Brooks' writing style.

A sweet and steamy quick read about the grumpy, taciturn NYC cop turned upside down by a gorgeous ballet dancer. For reasons that didn't make sense to me, Talia is forced to move in with Reed during his narcotics investigation into a dealer selling to ballet dancers. Reed's tiny NYC apartment isn't big enough to contain their sexual chemistry and Reed is pretty much knocked over by Talia:
He’d always been the steady one, focused and disciplined, stepping up to take the lead after his father died. But this woman who danced in his kitchen and left her tights hanging by his towel had him flailing.
The problem is that Reed doesn't know how to use his words and his failure to speak at the right time ends up breaking Talia's heart at the wrong time. And this leads Reed to discover some painful truths about himself:
He wasn’t that kind of guy, the kind who showed up with roses and knew what to say.... Someone who knew what to say in the moment, who opened his mouth and let the right words come out. Someone else would have known how to make her stop packing her bag and keep her with him that day. Someone else would have known how to stop her from getting out of the car and slamming the door. But not him. Never him. He was just…himself.
But Reed, even with his silent grumpiness, is a pretty great guy. One theme that I absolutely adored was how important it was to Reed that he took care of Talia in and out of bed. For example, Reed is seriously well-endowed and he insisted on making sure Talia was ready for him. This is hardly even discussed in romances (not everyone is magically elastic down there, Romancelandia!) and it was nicely done here.
No one had ever taken such time with her before. She’d be hard pressed to think of another guy who would’ve even noticed if she was ready or not. But Reed noticed. When they were both out of their minds with wanting, he read her body. He cared.
3.5 stars

Reed is a cop who’s striving to live up to his father’s reputation with the rank of lieutenant a tantalizing step away if he could only bust the case he’s been pursuing. When his inside lead goes quiet on him for a few days, Reed’s instinct has him checking her out in her apartment only to find a different & very beautiful woman staying there instead.

Talia is suddenly given the break of her life when the lead ballerina whose understudy she is has to leave town on an “emergency”, leaving Talia with both the plum role of lead dancer and well as the opportunity to sublet her apartment. What she didn’t expect was the strong & burly DEA agent to come crashing into the bedroom and literally fall into bed (he tripped over all the junk she had strewn over the floor unpacking) with her. When the danger of Talia being mistaken for Stacey has her life in danger, Reed insists on her leaving Stacey’s apartment & moving in with him instead (Talia really had no where else to go where she wouldn’t be a 3rd wheel).

I loved the story! Talia and Reed were a riot initially. They squabble a little (in the most amusing way), he’s all taciturn and stern and gruff but Talia soon finds out that he’s a wonderfully thoughtful and caring man inside. She’s totally transparent, wears her emotions on her sleeve and tends to talk a mile a minute where Reed is all the strong, silent Male who rarely cracks a smile. The chemistry was apparent right from the start (Reed can barely keep his eyes off her & vice versa).

A wonderfully entertaining and at times touching story. Lots of fun, lots of feel, immensely satisfying.

Wrong Bed, Right Girl is the second book in the Accidental Love series and tells the story of Talia and Reed. Although Wrong Bed, Right Girl is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

Wrong Bed, Right Girl is such a cute Contemporary Romance about two people who accidentally met and fell in love. Wrong Bed, Right Girl was really fast paced and I read this book in one day. This was the first book I’ve read by Rebecca Brooks and this won’t be the last one!

I really liked the characters because they were so different. Talia is a ballerina and says what she thinks and Reed is a DEA Agent who doesn’t use that many words. They’re opposites and that’s why they’re perfect for each other.

Wrong Bed, Right Girl was an amazing Contemporary Romance and I cannot wait to read the first book in the Accidental Love series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate.

More than 5 stars!!

Oh my gosh I loved this story. It was laugh out loud funny and sweet and sexy all rolled into a fantastic story with action and adventure. I’ve ready many of Ms. Brooks stories and this is by far the best one! You won’t want to put this one down so start readying early ❤️

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

After finishing the book, I can finally stop holding my breath and sign in relief! I was just not sure that Reed would finally admit he had deep feelings for Talia (love) and want the m-word.

The book really takes you on a journey as they start to fall for each other and then you can see the love between them and want them to make it but you know that Reed has issues from a past relationship and his thinking that he can't have a relationship as a DEA agent.

When he lets Talia walk away, it is just so heartbreaking but I love her strength that she finally moves on and knows that she will be alright and won't let this affect her performance in Giselle.

I enjoyed the previous story with Talia's brother and Jessie and I really hope that we will see what is going on with Rose and her fiance or Amanda and her secret crush - those sound like they will be fun to read!

If you’ve read the first book of the series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate, you’ve met Talia. This is her story. Since her former roommate and best friend moved in with her boyfriend and Talia’s brother she needed a place to live. When one of the fellow dancers she works with needs someone to sublet her apartment on short notice, Talia jumps right for that offer. What she doesn’t expect his a DEA agent to come barging in.
Talia and Reed are complete opposites. She is loud and messy. He is quiet and a grump. Despite being so different they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry, their banter. Talia would push all of Reed’s buttons.
This story took turns I didn’t expect, especially from reading the blurb, but I loved every single moment of it. It was funny, it was steamy and it had some drama to it. The characters were well written and the added suspense really made the story stand out.

Loved this book! This is a thoroughly entertaining story about opposites attracting with Reed, the growly DEA agent, and Talia, the ballerina who suddenly finds herself homeless after Reed crashes into her life. Their odd co-habitation begins - along with their attraction to each other.

I loved Talia's character - as a somewhat insecure ballerina struggling to make it in NYC. She felt real with her insecurities and body imperfections. Reed is the perfect balance to her as the focused agent with a damaged heart. I loved how they interacted together and, together, became something even better.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. I'm adding the author to my must read authors' list. While this novel is part of a series, this is a stand alone book.

Falling into the right bed!

Ballerina Talia Lassiter lucked into subletting the apartment of ballerina Stacey Moss because she had to leave town for a family emergency so she could move out from living with her best friend and brother who were now dating. DEA agent Reed Bishop was trying to get ahold of Stacey Moss because she was an informant in one of the cases that he was investigating when he went to her apartment in the middle of the night with a key she had given him. Reed didn’t know that Stacey had left town and Talia was subletting but he soon to find out that she wasn’t there and Talia knew nothing about the case.

Talia and Reed are a very unlikely couple but Rebecca Brooks shows that Reed who is a workaholic wanting to do better than his dad who was killed on duty and Talia who wanted someone to love her as she was with nasty feet and all..

I liked Wrong Bed, Right Girl because Reed finds a person who deals with his career as a DEA agent and doesn’t want him to change and Talia who actually turns out much stronger than I thought she was by helping Reed and his brother with a case and landing the lead in a ballet.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Rebecca Brooks has a way of writing that is cute, interesting, sexy and entertaining. Talia and Reed are polar opposite yet perfect together. Her pink, feminine side tones down his dark, DEA agent kick you in the ass side.

The storyline was a great concept and very interesting addition to the romance. I highly enjoyed Wrong Bed, Right Girl.

Reed is a DEA agent, checking up on a supposed informant, not knowing that she has sublet her apartment to a fellow ballet dancer, Talia.
Talia is sleeping peacefully in bed when a tattooed, muscular guy falls on top of her, resulting in a hilarious situation. Staying in the apartment is no longer safe for Talia, and with no where else to go, Reid offers his place.
This was a hot and fun read with some hilarious banter and sizzling moments. They both have baggage from their past relationships and lowering their walls was not easy especially for Reid. I found them adorable together and was rooting for them from the start. All in all this was a fun and sexy read.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Wrong Bed, Right Girl by Rebecca Brooks from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had read the first of the Accidental Love series (Wrong Bed, Right Roommate) previously so I had high hopes for this novel by Rebecca Brooks. Happily, I was not disappointed! If there are future books in this series, I will definitely read those as well.

I'm a huge fan of accidental romance so a hot DEA agent, Reed, paying a late night work visit his thought-to-be informant who fled and sublet her apartment to fellow ballet dancer, Talia, then waking/scaring Talia by falling across her as she slept, was right up my alley. From the start, Reed and Talia are adorable. They have hilarious banter, steamy moments, and even though they both have baggage from previous relationships AND are workaholics, they are devoted to one another...even when they aren't acknowledging that they're in a relationship and care about each other.

All in all, it was an enjoyable novel to read and I would recommend it to others!

I already read one book by this author – Wrong Bed, Right Roommate (Jessie’s story) – and loved it. It was really funny!

So when I saw this book on NetGalley, I immediately requested it. I was approved so I knew I had to read this book asap.

Rebecca Brooks writes really good. The writing got me hooked since the beginning. At first, I thought it would like the previous book because the first couple lines of the blurb reminded me of it, but then it turned completely different.

Reed was exactly the type of hero I love to read about. Reserved, moody, grumpy. You name it. His heart was broken in the past so he kept walls around his heart, he didn’t want anyone to get close to him.

Talia is his complete opposite. She’s messy, loud, honest.

In this book, opposites really attract. I loved how attentive Reed was. I loved Talia for bringing the best out of Reed and for keeping him on his toes.

It was a perfect read, honestly. 5 stars.

This is the second book in this series and I was really excited to read it. After reading the first book I was so excited to read Talia’s story. Reed and Talia have a lot of chemistry going on between them. Reed is a DEA agent and Talia is a ballet. From their first meeting they click together. This book has just the right amount of drama and romance. While reading this book my emotions were all over the place. Sometimes that was because the story line was very frustrating at times. That is what made this such a great read. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

When ballerina Talia agrees to not only take the principal role but also the apartment of her company's star dancer, she isn't expecting to find a bald, bearded hunk barging into the joint in the middle of the night.

Turns out Talia is now in the middle of what was supposed to be a drug-bust, and she has nowhere to live. But sexy DEA agent Reed Bishop, gruff, grumpy, and apparently unable to resist Talia's charms, offers up his bed (he'll sleep on the couch) while they figure out the case.

Of course, Talia and Reed find they won't mind sharing the bed after all.

A classic forced proximity romance with sparkling characters, hot sex scenes, and overall just super fun. Not heavy, very White for being set in NYC, but a fun time!

I especially enjoyed Talia. She's bratty, smart, and takes what she wants, even as Reed grumbles about it. The break between these two felt realistic, and the grovel at the end was A+! I'll definitely be reading more Rebecca Brooks.

I received a free copy in exchange for a fair review. Thank you Netgalley!

This was a great easy read. My only complaint is that things moved crazy fast for the two main characters...a little unbelievably fast. But the chemistry was there and the story was interesting.
