Sexy alien romances can be hit or miss for me but when I saw this cover on NetGalley I knew I wanted to read it. Throwing caution to the wind, I settled down to sink into what I was sure would be a smutty extravaganza. Lovett certainly didn’t disappoint on the steam factor but I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent world building. I felt like I had a solid understanding of the world/universe even with not reading the first two books. I wish there had been a bit more movement on the rebellion front but when I see the tag for erotica, I know that plot will take the backseat most times. Even without the plot movement, I was definitely there for Koviye.

I try to point out highlights in each of my reviews. This one is tough as I thoroughly enjoyed this book but since I have to pick… the gorgeous descriptions really made this book work. From the environment to the sexy intimate moments, Lovett employs vivid imagery that captured my imagination and made reading Stolen Desire a true pleasure. I will definitely be watching for more of Lovett’s work in the future.

Stolen Desire is book three in the Planet of Desire series by Robin Lovett. This is my very first book by this author. I’ve been wanting to read this series for a long time now. I mean, a Planet of Desire. Who wouldn’t want to know more about that?! This says it can be read as a stand alone and as I said, I’ve not read any other books by this author. But even though all necessary details were provided, I do think I would have been able to jump into this easier if I had read the previous books. I just had to work a little harder with the details but I still really enjoyed this.

Koviye lives on the planet Fellamana. He is one of a free loving species who inhabit this planet. The planet itself exudes some sort of toxin that enters the body and if regular sex isn’t experienced, it will slowly poison you. Koviye is special, though. He possesses the gift of healing touch. He is the only person on the planet with this ability. The species of this planet do not practice monogamy. They do feel great emotions but feel like sex is just part of their daily lives, experienced freely. But then Jenie came into Koviye’s life.

Jenie is part of the rebellion against the Ten Systems Empire, a leader. She is half human and half Ulreya. Jenie’s Ulreya side chooses a mate for life and once her body has chosen that mate, having sex will form the bond. They mate for life. After landing on the planet, something about the toxin has awakened the mate bond in her body and her body has chosen Koviye. Jenie is well aware that he doesn’t believe in one mate. That it’s not in his DNA to be able to be monogamous. So she has to deny the bond. But the longer she is on the planet, the more painful denying what her body wants becomes.

“My very being demands a partner, a lifelong mate. Which would be contrary to every goal I’ve ever had in my life. I am a military woman, a leader in the rebellion against the Ten Systems Empire. I have too many people depending on me. Taking time to indulge my alien sex fantasies isn’t on my to do list.”

When one of Jenie’s partners in the rebellion is in grave danger, she needs to rescue her. Koviye insists on accompanying her on the mission. But being together in a very small spacecraft for an extended period of time might just be too much for them to be able to resist one another.

“He could be my greatest pain. But he’s also been my truest pleasure.”

This was really good. And it’s also hot as heck. I have to say that Koviye’s species is very well equipped for living on such a planet! It’s obvious, though, that there is a greater plan at work here. There is something pulling these two together. They fit together perfectly. But Koviye is needed on his planet due to his special ability and Jenie is needed to continue to work for the rebellion. Plus the fact that Koviye’s race isn’t supposed to be able to fall in love. Is this pair doomed before they even have the chance to be together?

I don’t know if there will be further books in this series or not but I definitely am interested in checking out some of this author’s other work. If you enjoy this genre, I hope you’ll check this series out. Either start at the beginning or jump in like I did. Either way, I hope you enjoy it!

Complete with a zero gravity sex scene, Stolen Desire is a rollicking sexy space adventure for two characters bound by duty but ruled by their bodies, and their hearts.

Half-human and half-Ulreya, rebel Ten Systems' soldier Jenie is bound by her alien side to the mating instincts that have screamed into existence upon crashing on Fyrian but her attraction to Koviye of the Fellamana could spell disaster. He belongs to a polyamorous species, plus he's got a special healing power given through orgasms and touch that his people rely on. He can never commit to one being so having sex with him could lead Jenie to a lifetime of pain and loss if the mating bond is one sided.. But that doesn't mean she can't enjoy some sexual satisfaction in her dreams, and in other non-penetrative ways.

But they've also got to track a missing friend of Jenie's and figure out a way to keep the rest of the Ten Systems fleet from bearing down on Fyrian to find their missing ship. Forced to work together to prevent disaster for both their peoples, will their overwhelming desire for each other spell disaster or lead to new discoveries?

I've been enjoying this series from the start and once again the author delivers a wholly erotically charged, exciting and intriguing story. Since actually having intercourse is a problem, Jenie and Koviye find some interesting ways to get their satisfaction from each other and in doing so, develop an emotional bond that isn't so easily dismissed when the time comes to part ways. There's a lot of action too, and a good amount of interesting worldbuilding in the series as a whole. While this one is easily read as a standalone story, it does build on plot points in the previous books. The technological advances of the Fellamana aid Jenie in her quest to keep the Ten Systems fleet from finding the rebels and make Jenie and Koviye face some challenging truths. Getting to their happy ending doesn't come easy, but it does involve a lot of coming, LOL. This is a great escape read.

Another fun alien sex romp. The Alien is blue the sex is exhilarating and 100% consensual. There is even dream sex! I suggest reading the others in the series as well because they make appearances here as well.

This story was hot, I could have used a bit more plot or outside story, there was a lot of concentration on their attraction to one another, which is great but it becomes repetitious after a while.
