Big fan of Dawn Goodwin since reading her two previous books - ‘’The Accident’, and ‘The Pupil’. This new novel is an excellent psychological thriller building tension and uneasiness from the first few pages. Two women , Anna and Vicky, have been best friends since childhood and, like all of us, share some secrets we wouldn’t want others to know. While ours might be more innocent, their secrets are binding them and threatening their future lives. One bold and beautiful and the other introverted and awkward , the reader knows we are barreling towards a climax but, honestly, I had no idea where we would end up and was thrilled with the intricate web of deceit the author wove in this unsettling and gripping novel.

This is a tale of friendship. It is also a tale of secret, lies and control. The book opens with the death of Anna and the impact this has on her husband (and children) and her best friend since childhood Vicky. As the book unfolds we find out more about the relationships between Vicky and Anna and how this may or may not relate to Anna's death. A well written book with the right amount of mystery to keep your interest. Not quite a 5 star-er but a recommended read. .

What a brilliant book. This book has a fantastic story line, excellent characters and is just wonderful. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and I enjoyed it immensely.

Best Friends Forever is a great fast paced book. It deals with toxic friendship in a great manner and although I thought parts were unrealistic I still loved it! Anna is a manipulative bitch and her best friend Vicky is the victim, worn down by Anna....this is exactly how these friendships work in real life.
Four star rating because of animal cruelty, I wish publishers could put a warning somewhere about this.

I’ve been disappointed in psychological thrillers lately, and have even been ready to give up the genre, but this one really brought me back. Did not see the ending coming, and I loved the characters, even the bad girl. Solid five stars -now I want to read her other books

Anna and Vicky were best friends; that is, until Anna met an untimely death. Most likely accidental, yet the police have yet to officially say so. We follow Anna and Vicky on a tenuous journey through high school, college and the present. Anna leaves behind her husband, David, and her two children; Harper (7) and Lewis (5).

Vicky helps David out when the house, job and children become too much for him. (After all, he lost both a nanny and a working wife, recently.

Anna and Vicky have had a less than symbiotic relationship. Anna was always the one making the calls. She was pretty, thin and had a beautiful house and David. Whereas, Vicky actually had much less - none of those things.

David takes Vicky up on her offer to help for a few days with the kids and domestic chores...

And that is when the story just begins...

A thriller with a different flavor! A MUST read!
