This is the second book I've read by Amy Andrews, and I definitely want to read more of what she has to offer. This one is a little different than the last book, because that was a sports romance, but this one was a straight contemporary romance. I loved the plot of this one, two people that were at odds with each other trying to fight their attraction for each other.

Man both of these two are BROKEN characters and my heart really broke for them. Mostly because I just wanted them to stop being dumb and give into temptation already! It was more on Gus' part, because she had been so hurt by her ex. I also really understood her issues with trusting men. As a big chested woman, girl I understand. Sometimes men don't really even look at you as a person, and it suuucks!!! It's why I liked Marshall as the hero so much, because he did see her as more than just her physical traits.

Marshall has a lot of baggage, and my heart kind of broke for him. He had a very hard childhood, but he's pulled himself up by his bootstraps and has made a name for himself. I admire how hard-working he was, but also how he let Gus boss him around and take charge on the island.

I did find their yes but then no, in terms of the intimate scenes to be a little frustrating. They had some minor scenes, but then Gus had to turn around and deny him. That made it SO frustrating to me. Never fear though, it's a romance book so there is a happy ending.

Bunny rabbits. I love them. So too does Dr Augusta ‘Gus’ North, after all she’s the vet for the American Bunny League ‘ABL’. Marshall Dyson knows nothing about rabbits, except they’re preventing him from doing his job, all 200 of them, running wild around his island. When a judge decides that Marshall must reside on the island with Gus for one month whilst assisting the ABL in catching and removing the bunnies, well he got more than he bargained for. I loved Marshall, he was straight up, say it as it is, with a side of sexy. He was committed, caring, and the vision of him shirtless with a giant bunny on his chest will stay with me for a long time. Gus I found to be slightly annoying at times, and I think she lied to herself, why she denied her feelings was frustrating (yes maybe I was a little jealous, but stop blowing hot and cold girl). A slow burn that felt a little rushed towards the end. That said it all worked for me. I ate up every word. A wonderful story, well written with some fun supporting characters. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

The Kissing Contract by Amy Andrews a five-star read that will make you hop. This one will have you daydreaming about lots of bunnies and counting them instead of sheep if you struggle to sleep, especially ones named Thumper and Rambo. Gus is great, she has a real fight to her and a sublime spark, the way she is wrote shows us so many facets of her personality, the professional side that she shows in court and then the compassionate and caring side when dealing with the animals, and I’m not just talking about the bunnies. Marshall is a man of many dilemmas, he wants rid of the island and when you get to know the history you understand why that is, but dilemmas are meant to dealt with and you can’t wait for him to get straight. This was a great story and one I have enjoyed from the first page to the last.

The story of Gus and Marshall. An entertaining read, with some great characters.

Marshall wants to develop the island that used to belong to his grandfather, to destroy everything his grandfather built. But then they find out that someone released rabbits on to the island and these all need to be removed before work can start. The person to do this job is Gus.

Despite the fact they don't get on to start with, there is an attraction between them, which leads to the kissing contract - nothing will happen between them before they leave the island, which will be weeks away.

The more time they spend together while on the island, the closer they get, so what will happen when it is time to leave the island?

Hoping that Marshall's brother gets his own book next!

Marshall Dyson wants to demolish the cabin on his grandfather’s island, but is thwarted by the American Bunny League (ABL). Apparently three non-fixed bunnies were put on the island six months ago, and now the island is overrun with rabbits. Dr. Augustus “Gus” North, represents the ABL and is ordered, along with Marshall to work together to humanely get the bunnies off the island in a month. Of course, both Marshall and Gus are insanely attracted to each other, but since Gus is still nursing wounds from her last relationship, she makes them both sign a napkin contract stating that there will be no kissing. As they work together, along with the Bunnyguard volunteers, the rabbit mojo seems to be affecting every one. Gus and Marshall find it more and more difficult to honor the contract. Both Gus and Marshall are very likable characters and I loved that, while they were instantly attracted to each other, it took time to develop an actual relationship. This is a nice, funny read and I hope that the author tell’s Marshall’s brother Jeremy’s story as well. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

As sweet as it is sexy, The Kissing Contract has the feel of a small town romance paired with a slow burn that heats up the room. The story follows Marshall, the owner of a construction company who is trying to begin construction on a small island that’s been in his family for years. Unfortunately for him, the island has become overrun by bunnies and he’s been taken to court by a sexy veterinarian, Augusta “Gus,” who wants to remove the bunnies before construction begins. When the court orders that Marshall assist Gus in removing the bunnies over the next four weeks, they are forced to spend a lot of time together. Though there is plenty of chemistry between them, Gus wants to avoid having a fling because she is used to men focusing on her bombshell appearance and she’s cautious about who she gets involved with. They come to an agreement not to kiss or have sex for the duration of their stay on the island, but it’s difficult to fight the sizzling attraction between them.

There’s a lot to like about the book - I appreciated that the characters were a little older (34), so they acknowledged that while they are attracted to each other, they don’t have to be ruled by that. Don’t get me wrong, while this is a slow burn there is a LOT of sexual tension throughout the book and near-constant references to their attraction. They’re both likeable characters, and it was nice to have a hero whose biggest issue is being a serial monogamist (he’s been engaged 3 times). It’s a totally realistic and interesting read - the only thing that holds it back from being 5 stars for me is the writing style itself. It’s hard to describe, but it felt a little formal and there was a lot of focus on the bunny stuff. That’s just a personal preference though, and not a major issue. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I appreciated the opportunity to try out a book from this author.

Loved this book!!! It's funny, sweet, and just a bit poignant. At times I literally laughed out loud. I loved Marshall and only wish I could see the photo of him with Thumper. ... Gus is the pretty vet that sees herself as a bunny rescuer/wrangler/doctor. When she goes to Marshall's island to gather the bunnies before Marshall begins a major building project, neither has any use for the other. However, by working together, and through a whole bunch of bad bunny jokes, they start to fall for each other. What follows is a thoroughly entertaining and non-traditional wooing.

If you enjoy your romance with humor, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list. If you're a fan of the genre, she should probably be on your must read list too. Put this one at the top of your TBR list.

I voluntarily received a copy of this publication from NetGalley for an honest review!

As a big fan of Amy Andrew I couldn’t wait to read this book. And as you know when you talk about contracts, then you know they are made to be broken.

I was quite frustrated in the beginning, I felt like it just took to long to get to the fun bits. Don’t get me wrong I know you have to create a story. They was just too much grid and quadrants for my liking.

Gus is too up tight. I mean honey you get to deal with cuddly bunnies all day, if that doesn’t make you a happy hippie then you really need to get “laid.” And Marshall although strongly attracted to Gus he’s the perfect gentleman. Don’t get me wrong three engagements are a lot. I was hoping to fault was the ladies but no he’s a serial proposer.

And poor Thumper, I’m not a bunny person but I would’ve taken him....sounds like a dream. He’s not ugly he’s normal....he’s not chubby he’s big boned....lol!

Great job! Want more!

If you love a humourous story with a sexy blue collar man, a smart and beautiful woman and bunnies, then this is your book! Honestly, I found myself chuckling as I read this story and ignored everything else that I had on my to do list. Marshall and Gus were such a loveable pair and Amy Andrews is now on my must read list!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ok so I started reading this book and read this sentence "if he'd known vets looked like this, he'd have gotten that dog he'd promised himself years ago and gone all Munchausen's on it's ass", man I cracked up and got excited I mean after reading that sentence I just knew that the rest of the book would be hilarious, damn was I wrong. I was so disappointed, why? well it had potential but it wasn't funny. And even thought I liked Marshall I wasn't crazy about Gus. The book had way to much words, that is the only thing that I can think of, sorry but to me had useless information that could have been avoided and maybe the book would have been better. I couldn't understand how they could have fallen in love, again why? well yes they spent time together but it was working or Gus claiming over and over that they could not act on their attraction she has a very high opinion on herself, I get that she was supposedly a beautiful woman and her body was apparently perfection and she was used to people commenting on that, I get it but I was annoyed with it and I also got that she was heartbroken but again to feel the way she did wanted me to get over it. I couldn't understand what Marshall was attracted to besides her beauty and body and ok I will give her her work ethic, but that was it..So for them to avoid intimacy the whole book except the chapter before the end, after their one bam thank you maam and then they were in love and ready for marriage,,,huh how in the hell did we get there..not bad enough for a 2 star but def not more than a three and that was pushing it..but all in all my nosy ass want to know what is going to happen to Jeremy.

*****The Kissing Contract is Amy Andrews’s newest fun, flirty and very sassy read. The story focuses on a contractor wanting to develop a piece of property that holds bad memories and a veterinarian determined to protect the rabbit population living there. Mandated by the court to work together, along with a group of rabbit loving volunteers to round up and humanely relocate the bunnies, can these two actually keep their growing attraction at bay even with a signed contract? Don’t bet on it! Any reader familiar with this author knows she is a master at writing witty dialogue and sexy situations to advance her stories. She also has created a backstory for the contractor that will tug at your heart and give so much depth to the story, and of course, the veterinarian has her own issues. This book was so much fun to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.
