Wow! I really don’t know where to start with this book. It is my new favourite book! Dani Atkins is an amazing author and this book is fantastically written. You are hooked from the first page. There are some clues at the beginning about how the two women might become linked which all become apparent as you keep reading. I am really pleased that both ladies found happiness in the end. I think this book also challenges the male stereotype which is probably the best thing about this book! The men in it are not serial cheaters or cast to be bad people. It is refreshing to read that there are really men like that represent the normal husband out there. I can not recommend this book highly enough and have already told all my friends they need to buy it!

First off, I believe this book is being marketed as a Christmas book. Christmas appears part way through, and towards the end, but no great time is spent on it. It is a great read though, whatever time of year you read it. Although the plot isn't unique (I've read another similar), the choice made by Beth did surprise me. That said, it felt right. I was actually more hooked on the romance / relationship element, rather than the plot surrounding the child. The ending felt right also. Well done, Dani Atkins, on another brilliant story, and as always, one to make you think.

Beth and Izzy meet in very unusual circumstances. Their lives are turned upside down by a mistake that happened eight years ago.
These two women were left with a very difficult decision to make and I could sympathise with both of their views.
I did enjoy this book but I did find parts of the story predictable.
Thank you to NetGalley and Head of Zeus for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

So life can now resume! I've just finished reading dani Atkins latest, & very eagerly awaited novel, although the last few chapters were very blurry!
Wow another fantastic read, so many emotions to process as always but a truly lovely story, I didn't want it to end but as usual read it in a day!
Wonderful characters and I particularly enjoyed the small reference to Charlotte & David, in my mind from Our Song, another brilliant book. Please keep them coming Dani & not so long till the next book!

‘These things have a way of working out exactly how they’re meant to’

For me, this quote really sums up the heart of the novel. The sense of serendipity, of huge life changing situations that happen and seemingly blow your life out of the water, only for you to end up exactly where you’re meant to me.

The plot is tricky to talk about, as so much of it is not given away by the synopsis. What I will say is that while there are elements of the plot that you may see coming, there are others that are truly surprising.

With regards to writing style, I loved the dual narrative approach taken by Atkins, as it ensured that your perspective on events was not biased towards either sides. However, I must admit to a slight preference towards Beth, although Izzy won me over towards the end!

I have to say though, I personally disagree with it being marketed as a Christmas book. The majority of the plot is not focused on Christmas, apart from a section quite close to the end, so in that sense it isn’t. However, to me a good Christmas book is more about how it makes you feel. At Christmas time I love nothing more that curling up with a good Hallmark movie, and that was exactly the vibe you get off this novel, especially the ending! So in that sense, maybe more of a feel-good book than a specifically Christmas one - good to read over the holiday season, but not one that I felt out of place reading over summer.

Overall, this was a really moving, uplifting and unique novel, that made for a really positive reading experience. Whether a long time fan or a first time reader, I guarantee you will be swept away on the beauty of ‘A Million Dreams’.

I would like to thank Head of Zeus and Victoria Joss for asking me to review this book and to be apart of the blog tour. Dani Atkins is my all time favourite author and I was delighted to be able to read this book and review it before it is published. Such an honour.
A Million Dreams is a beautifully written story following two women who are both live very different lives. Beth a florist has made a big decision and must tell her husband about it. Her live is about to change completely and Izzy her marriage is up in the air but with her son Noah her husband is still very much in her life but can they find the love again that brought them together. Two different situations that unexpectedly collide in this story.
Dani's story telling is just amazing. She takes an idea spins it on its head and turns it into an unforgettable story that has had me laughing with joy, crying with sorrow and my heart has sighed with love at the poignant moments in the story.
If you have not read a book by Dani Atkins yet you really are missing out. A Million Dreams is her best yet although it is very hard to choose between them all.
