I received a free download of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book by this author that I have read and I really enjoyed the premise of the book. All the characters were fun and very likable and the book had a definite uplifting vibe.

Set on the coast over the course of the summer, a group of unlikely characters become engrossed in each other's lives. Solving major life dilemmas in the span of 3 months allows the reader to quickly be captured by their quirks. Perhaps the most compelling part of this novel is the vast differences between the characters, yet their lives are inexplicably similar. Looking for love, acceptance, and courage Diana and Gray (as well as their motley crew of misfits) show how beautiful friendships can be when we stop listening to the rules 'they' made up and just pay attention to those in our lives. This was my first book by Harvey--but definitely won't be my last!

Thank you NetGalley and publisher Simon and Schuster for a free galley in exchange for my honest review. Feels Like Falling is an endearing story of finding friendship, family, and love (and even oneself) in the most unexpected times and places. Even though there are many sorrowful moments, the author balances it well with lightheartedness and witty characters. I read the majority of this book in one sitting on a Sunday morning and I think it is the sweetest remedy for these odd "Covid-19 lockdown" days we are currently living.

Life had other plans.

How many people have said that before in their lives? In this book, strong female characters come together and form a bond that many women wish they had in life. No matter the ups or downs, they realize they are together in this and they will persevere. Not to mention yet another book set on the coast, I want to go to the coast one day just to be in the settings of many of these favorite books of mine.

Thank you to Netgalley for the read. All opinions are my own.

This was my first Kristy Woodsen Harvey book and it won't be my last! Loved the characters, loved how the plot developed and I loved how the book had real-life relatable lessons. I wasn't ready for it to end.

This is my new favorite book by this author. I really enjoyed it.

Grey and Diana form a fast friendship after a rather unusual beginning.
Grey thinks she caused Diana to lose her job.
Diana is at her whit’s end. She doesn’t have much in life. She’s just broken up with her boyfriend because he stole her savings, and she gets fired from her job. She shows up at Grey’s house and tells her that she caused her to lose her job and how that’s all she’s got.

Grey has a big heart and even when she realizes it wasn’t exactly her fault, she still wants to help Diana. It turns out that Diana used to work as a cleaning lady and that she’s also a great cook.
Grey could really use help with both of those things. She is in the process of a drawn out divorce, she has a job where she works long hours and a young son.

Diana and Grey are two very different women. Diana is absolutely broke and has a string of bad relationships. She wears her ex boyfriend’s t shirts to remind her of her mistakes. Grey is successful, wealthy and built her company up herself. She is definitely able to help Diana, but their friendship is very equal. Diana is able to show Grey how to be strong on her own. She’s able to show her what it looks like to be a strong, single woman.

They each help the other to put their lives back together again and to get new beginnings.

This book took place in a beach town and I always enjoy that. There were also good love interests. But the story is fundamentally about friendship, family and trusting in your own strength.

At first glance, Gray has it all. She has an adorable son, a gorgeous home on the Carolina coast, a successful marketing company, and loads of loyal friends. However, if you dig deeper, you would find someone who is grieving the loss of her mother to cancer, getting over a difficult divorce, and the loss of her sister to her controlling husband. Whens Gray messes things up for Diana at her work at the local pharmacy, she feels compelled to offer her boarding in her guest house. In fact, Gray even offers Diana a job as her housekeeper, and after some time, the two hit it off like no other. Their friendship fills the gaps and holes in each their lives and they are there for each other like sisters. Diana encourages Gray to branch out and live a little this summer while she supports Diana when her world turns upside down. Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey is a satisfying beach read depicting two strong Southern women and an unlikely friendship that ends up being transformative.

At first, Gray seems a little too good to be true in Feels Like Falling. She is a very successful businesswoman with blonde hair and the perfect body; however, not everything is ideal. Once readers find out that her husband left her for his assistant, the tides begin to change for Gray. Perhaps she doesn't have it all together like we thought? To complicate matters, she shares a child with her ex-husband, so there's no escaping him or his young girlfriend. Also, her ex-husband is the CFO of her company and isn't making this divorce easy. So, obviously, things get sticky.

A beach read isn't a beach read unless it has a little bit of romance, right? Well, in Feels Like Falling, Gray attracts the attention of her son's tennis coach, Andrew, but she couldn't actually go out on a date with him, could she? He is way younger than her, has the perfect body, women flock to him, so why would he want to date Gray with all of her baggage? Well, there's no rules against a summer romance though, right? Gray enters a summer fling with Andrew, but it ends up being so much more. Harvey created a really swoon-worthy boyfriend in Andrew and I loved their relationship even if it was difficult for Gray to really let herself fall for him.

Then there's Diana in Feels Like Falling. She has a complicated past and when she moves into Gray's house she isn't just escaping her former life, but instead, she is almost starting over. Her friendship with Gray becomes so much more than the usual friendship and I love watching it blossom. They ended up being there for each other through it all, especially when Diana's ex-boyfriend reenters her life and makes her question things. Diana, like Gray, is going through some things as well and they help each other get through life's ups and downs.

I loved the summertime setting of the Carolina Coast in Feels Like Falling. It was the perfect setting for a beach read. Harvey definitely didn't disappoint and had me dreaming of happy hours on the bay and gorgeous sunsets.

My only issue was some of the slow parts in Feels Like Falling, especially because I found myself interested in Gray's story a bit more than Diana's. Nonetheless, Harvey provided her fans with a solid Southern beach read that will be sure to transport readers.

I read this is April, and am finally getting y review up. 🙃 I have read two of Kristy's previous books, and I loved them! I was so excited for this one, and once again, she did not disappoint. This was such a feel good book, and I was hooked from the beginning. I was a huge fan of the characters, and the friendship that happened in this book. I laughed out loud numerous times, and needed this lighter read in my life! I highly recommend any of Harvey's books and look forward to reading more from her!

Kristy Woodson Harvey hits it out of the park again with this one! If you loved her Peachtree Bluff series, then I highly suggest picking up this book and giving it a shot. Set in a cute little beach town in North Carolina, this story has drama, love, friendship and so much more! Gray and Diana are complete opposites as far as characters go, but they complement each other perfectly. Their friendship was one of my favorite parts of the story!

Feels like Falling is the perfect cozy up beach read for the summer!

This was my first read by Kristy and am so happy that I finally was able to experience her beautiful storytelling. I am such a fan of this author and she is so sweet!

The story was perfect. We see aspects of romance, loss, love, motherhood, and the challenges of life. I couldn't get enough of this dual POV with Gray and Diana. These two women are completely different but my goodness what a strong bond they create with one another. It's the perfect uplifting and positive read. I cannot wait to see more from Kristy!! I will be reading anything from this author!!

Huge thank you to Gallery books for my copy of this book.

5 stars!!

KWH did it again! I loved the Peachtree Bluff series so I was super excited to receive an advanced copy on Netgalley.

This is such a good summer read... I mean it has drama, old friends, new friends, family and the beach!! I loved that this book had 3 strong female leads. Gray is navigating a divorce while trying to keep the business she started and is now worth millions. She’s also figuring out what life is like as a single woman without her son around all the time. Diana is getting out of a relationship with a man who had a bad gambling habit and ends up getting a job as a housekeeper at Gray’s home. And then you throw in Gray’s best friend, Marcy who is just a stitch!! They’re learning what life is like as middle age women together each dealing with different things, divorce, marriage and babies. We need our girlfriends!

This is a great quarantine read!

Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Pocket Books for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Ah, this is just what the quarantine brain needed. Feels Like Falling is a wonderful beach read and Kristy Woodson Harvey is simply one of my favorite Southern Fiction writers. I am a sucker for Southern Fic and this one just hit all the points. The location, while technically fictional, was quintessential Carolina, and the friendships and food were definitely on point.

Gray and Diana’s lives collide when they’re both going through some tough times. Gray is in the middle of losing everyone and Di is out of a job. A job she really needed. Thanks to Gray, actually. The women seem as if they could have absolutely nothing in common, but of course that’s not truly the case. Friendship is at the forefront of this story and Feels Like Falling shows us that we need our squad, whether we know it, want it, or not. And hey, maybe a little May/December romance, too. #StillGotIt

Another delightful book from Kristy Woodson Harvey. This book focuses on the friendship of women and how sometimes someone we have just met, becomes someone we truly love.. Kristy always delivers with relatable stories and memorable characters and this book does exactly that.

Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey and a new to me author.

Gray Howard, CEO, recently left her cheating husband and decides to spend some time at her summer home in North Carolina to regroup...loosing her mother to cancer and her sister to marriage. Then she accidentally gets Diane Harrington accidentally fired from her job.

What happens next is a blossoming friendship between them, challenges, building a new life and hoping to find their way forward to whatever life holds.

We probably won't be able to take a summer vacation or go to the beach this year, but at least we can travel through books. Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey is just the book to do that. Set in a seaside town of North Carolina, this is a story about love, family, and, most importantly, female friendship. This book is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and uplift your spirits. It's a perfect summer read.

This book was exactly the romance I needed during this quarantine. Gray is a hardworking, 34-year-old mom and almost divorcee, and when she meets and goes on a date with Andrew, a young tennis pro who also just happens to be her son's tennis coach, she shrugs it off as a fun summer fling. But could it be more?

Amidst this romantic plot line, Gray also meets Diana, an unapologetically honest women who is down on her luck. She has dated a plethora of frogs, but just can't get over the prince who got away.

Alternating between both Gray and Diana's plot lines and narration, this book is a cozy read that has you yearning for summer and keeps you hooked until the very end. Heartwarming, sassy, and sweet, this romance is one I highly recommend.

What a great book to take you into summer in a big summer mood. This transports you to the southeast coast and makes you want to dig your feet in the sand. Two characters, Gray and Diana meet by chance and that meeting alters the course of both of their summers and lives. A rich cast of characters flush out this book and I found myself also wanting to participate in all the girls nights depicted. This story explores what it means to be a woman and how the journey is not the same for everyone.

This book would be best paired with a cold drink, a floppy hat, and some body of water.

Looking for a wonderful light well told story? You can never go wrong with anything written by Kristy Woodson Harvey. Pick up this winner of a book. Slip it into your beach bag, head out for your deck in your backyard and settle into your favorite chair. A definite must read. Happy reading!

Not my normal type of book, but it's a great escapist read -- a "beach read" even though I doubt any of us will be on beaches any time soon -- but a fun, quick read nonetheless.
