This compilation of devotions was good and should be inspiring to the right audience. It definitely is tailored to teen girls, although other audiences could reap some benefits, There were times it was noticeable an older woman wrote this, instead of a teen herself, so that made this feel a bit detached from the audience. Otherwise, this was a lovely devotional that will inspire many.

"The 5 Minute Prayer Plan for Teen Girls" is a great concept that if a patron approached me asking for Christian Devotionals for young women - I would definitely include in my recommendations.

I appreciate the structure that MariLee Parrish lays out for her readers... Scripture, Devotional, Leading Prayer. It models a basic structure and one method in which young, female Christians or those who are curious about the Christian faith can lean on to build their own relationship/faith.

This book is definitely a valuable one! I really enjoyed the bite sized five-minute chapters, as it really encourages daily devotional time. The only drawback I'd say is that the writing style suits tween girls a bit more than teen girls. But the overall content is suitable for both of those age categories. I would definitely recommend it for any teen/tween girls you know.

While I have not read the entire book in full yet, as it is not a book you read in one sitting.

The many prayer plans/guides I have used so far have been very good for me to focus on prayer and my faith when sometimes I don't know where to start on days. The specific index of not only bible verses but themes makes the use of the book very user-friendly and helpful to find exactly what I'm looking for or get to what I need at the moment.

When I was a child I was given a nightly prayer book. Now being a university student I am constantly overwhelmed and stressed. With my family being honestly a mixture of Roman Catholic, Ukrainian Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox, I grew up with the value of prayer. I applaud this plan for being what it is, and I have used it a few times now to pray to give me strength during this stressful season. I haven’t come across another plan like this so I am very great full I was able to find it! I will most definitely be giving hard copies away for Christmas and birthdays

Looking for a way to encourage your teen girl in her prayer life? Or are you a teen girl who wants to learn to pray, but you're not sure how or where to start? MariLee Parrish in her book The 5-Minute Prayer Plan for Teen Girls helps young women learn the power of prayer as they're inspired to pray boldly and specifically. The book's 93 themed plans guide teens to meditate on scripture, consider specific prayer points, and then have a conversation with God. The topics are varied and practical. Some of my personal favorites are: The Truth About Who You Are in Christ, He Knows Your Name, The Source of Hope, Scripture Prayer Map, Praying the Psalms, and Prayer Transforms Us. Parrish also includes in the back of the book both a topical index and a scripture index, which are also helpful. I found each of the 93 guides to be practical, relevant, and biblically based. In just a few minutes each day, teen girls can learn to pray while growing their relationship with Jesus and developing the habit of abiding in Christ through the Word and prayer. This book promises to be a real winner, and it's one I plan to purchase for teen girls that I want to help grow in their faith.

Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for this honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

This book was broken down into an easy to follow format that included daily verse readings and prayer prompts. Great for teen girls to improve and deepen their relationship with God and get into a daily prayer routine.

I love the idea of a 5-minute prayer plan, however after reading this, I expect it will take a good bit longer than 5 minutes. The teaching is faithfully based on scripture with explanations, challenging questions and examples of prayers. It's a good idea--many don't know how to pray or what to pray about. Even though it's a devotional for teens, I enjoyed it myself. Thank you, MariLee Parrish

I think this book is great for teens. Each day has a Bible verse, a prayer and a devotional text. I don’t think it is doable for a group, because it is hard to keep up with the variety of subjects. For an individual devotional time I think it is great, the book helps teen girls think about a lot of subjects and pray for different things, they can sense that they need all the help the Lord gives them, so it helps them be more aware of their flows and need as a teenager.
