Sweet second-chance romance, but I didn't like how their first ending was based on a HUGE misunderstanding. Seems like a convenient plot point, and I wished it had been something more significant that separated them the first time. It almost made it seem like their first relationship wasn't as solid.

I am an absolute sucker for second chances, and LRJ, never disappoints, whather she is immersing us in a sizzling heat or rekindling old flames...
Hannah and Roarke are the quintessential young love, spontaneous, and high emotions, where acting before rationally taking all the facts into account.. Their families may have been working to rip them apart all the years ago, but divine intervention is what will bring them to the same town again. While the truth of what really happened all those years ago will either set them free or put them together forever...

What a beautiful sweet book. I love the friendships in this book, the family connections and the love you feel when you read it.
A predictable book; but a lovely holiday read. A must for your library

“Tangled Up In Christmas” by Lisa Renee Jones
A stand-alone ‘page-turner’ contemporary romance in the Texas Heat Series. I was gifted an ARC by the publisher with the request of an honest review in return. This is a good story, and it does have some heat to it so be prepared. Read the description to get a feel of why I really liked the story. Beside the fact, that it was nice to visit Sweetwater once again. If you liked ‘The Truth About Cowboys’ I am very sure you will like this story also.

My ARC copy of “Tangled Up In Christmas” included a second story “Santa Baby” also by Lisa Renee Jones. I was surprised as I was only expecting one story. This second story is another spicy contemporary romance. A playboy and a good girl whose lives bump into each other and well… it was a fun read, too. I will just say… Check both stories out for yourself. Happy Reading ! !
note: I separated my reviews then posted to goodreads bookbub with 5-stars for Santa Baby

Everyone deserves a second chance, but to get a second chance you need forgive the past.

I really wanted Roarke's story when we were introduced to him in The Truth About Cowboys, which is Jason and Jessica's story (which i highly recommend). I wanted to know all about him and why was he who he was. This book was great and had both point of views, but I do have to say I wish there was more of his point of view but i loved it either way.

This story is a story about two people that grew up together, started dating, where in love and fell apart. They both tried their best to dats and move on but there was something always there that stopped them from going to the next step. Many years later they see each other again, they discover that the feelings they had for each other were still as strong (maybe stronger) and never left. Can all the secrets that caused them to break up be revealed and can they forgive the lies they thought was the truths. What they went through was insane, and it had be sucked in the whole time.

I received this book for my honest review and opinion. I would definitely recommend this book, I love me some cowboy stories! I need more, maybe Linda's story next?!?

This was a really cute and sweet second chance romance! I loved Hannah and Roarke's relationship and how everything felt familiar. I have not read the first book but seeing their relationship with Jason and Jessica makes me want to. They seem like such amazing people. Furthermore, I love that Roarke is a vet and how they both love animals so much. I just really enjoyed this book, there was some grovel (which I love) and a lot of sweet moments. I'm only giving this four stars because there were some situations that felt a bit juvenile or childish to me but otherwise, I loved this story.

Hang onto your panties ladies and enjoy Roarke. He will just make you fan yourself with all his hottness. You'll adore Hannah too. I love this second chance romance so much. Once you get further into the truth behind Roarke's and Hannah's breakup you really feel for how hard it was for Roarke to know the real truth behind everything. I love that we get all our favorite Sweetwater folks returning in this one. Hannah and Roarke just sizzle and you can feel the love still between them. If Tangled Up In Christmas doesn't give you that holiday cheer then I don't know what will. You need to read this and fall in love with Roarke and Hannah.

Tangled up in Christmas has Hannah returning to her home town of Sweetwater after escaping from Los Angeles after a failed relationship.
Returning after 5 years away her ex Roarke a vet and horse wrangler is still there and he still loves her deeply.
Hannah thought Roark had cheated on her and it is up to him to prove he was set up plus there are things he is keeping from him as it could destroy her relationship with her parents.
Gradually he wins her back and there love is deeper and better than before particularly as they are both more mature.
No great angst here, an entertaining read but quite different to this authors usual style, very light. But a lovely ending and satisfying read.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

A perfectly charming contemporary romance set during the Holidays; all three of them - Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Hannah returns to her small hometown of Sweetwater, Texas when she is offered the opportunity to be the event planner for the town’s new Christmas Festival. The job requires her to become re-acquainted with her ex-fiancé, Roarke, a local hero and YouTube sensation known as the Horse Wrangler.

Everyone is just SO NICE in Sweetwater. All the locals love Hannah. Roarke is a hot, sexy, super-famous veterinarian cowboy who only has eyes for her. Hannah’s two girlfriends, Linda and Jessica, are incredibly helpful and supportive. Even the grandmothers are amazing and always wanting to cook for them. With all this saccharine loving, how could Hannah and Roarke ever have become un-engaged in the first place?

Second chance romances are sometimes a miss for me because I can’t look past the transgressions of the original breakup or else I question why the couple suddenly decide they should get back together. This was NOT the case for Hannah and Roarke. I really liked how the plot had some hidden malevolence beneath the shiny picture perfect veneer. It provided enough bait to keep me intrigued and allowed Hannah and Roarke to truly have their do-over without themselves being tainted by past mistakes. That’s the way it should be done!

(This is my independent and voluntary opinion on an ARC distributed by the publisher via NetGalley.)

5 Star Review of Tangled Up In Christmas (Texas Heat #2) by Lisa Renee Jones
Lisa Renee Jones’ writing is so descriptive that I found myself transported to Sweetwater, Texas. Tangled Up In Christmas is a second chance at love story that will draw you in and have you invested from the first chapter.
There was something about Roarke Frost that drew me in almost as much as it did our heroine Hannah. Even though she knows he is not right for her, after all she believes he cheated on her when they were engaged, when Hannah returns to town she cannot help but get involved with him again.
The chemistry is just as intense as it always has been. This was a passionate, heartwarming and fun book, full of laughter, a little drama and was one of those books I didn’t want to put down. The writing was strong and the characters had a great deal of depth to them and made them easy to relate and like.
Can Roarke and Hannah finally get the happily ever after they deserve or will her family pull them apart again?

What talent this author has! She writes romance in the suspense genre extremely well and this series, while not intense, is just as entertaining and thrilling! The thrill is from the joy you can feel for and from the characters. Second chance romance at its best with the hunky guy leading the way! I love this series as I love all of the stories from Lisa Renee Jones!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

For a long time Roarke Frost was just the hunky cowboy that lived next door, the one who never really noticed her the way she wanted him to... until the summer he did, then she wished he hadn't. They burned hot, had instant chemistry, and bonded easily, then she realized they might not have been on the same page after all, and she knew for the sanctity of her heart that it was best if she walk away.

So she followed her dreams to the big city, and never had plans on looking back, then with the implosion of her bosses career, she lost hers too. With little money, desperation at an all time high, and a dream to realize, she decides to go back to the one place she thought she'd never set foot it again... Sweetwater, the place where she lost her heart, and a lot closer to the man that took it!

Tangled Up in Christmas is a sultry little page-turner that unites lost loves Hannah and Roarke, theirs' is a story of healing, forgiveness, and rekindling love. The moment my eyes hit the synopsis of this one I was intrigued, the mere mention of a sexy cowboy trying to work his way back into the good graces of the woman he wronged I just knew it was going to be a good one... and boy was I right! The words pulled me in instantly and had me wrapped up in feels and drama... these two had a lot of things to sort out! This one was a game of cat and mouse, Hannah trying to keep her distance, and try to resist falling into old habits, and Roarke constantly finding reasons to pop into her life and convince her to try again, it was all kinds of angsty! I loved this newest installment in the series, it pages brought steamy moments to swoon over, feisty moments to inspire smiles, and drama that kept my eyes glued to the pages... it was a perfect literary escape! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, via NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I'm a sucker for a great second chance romance, and this one was certainly that in fact, it was marvellous. Not only because it was extremely well written and paced. But because of the small town setting and truly lovable characters. Not to mention the storyline itself, which was raw, sexy, sweet, and engaging and has so much going on, including feuding families, meddling townsfolk and forgiveness. All of which take's place in the lead up to Christmas. And I was completely captivated throughout, and therefore would definitely recommend it to others. Particularly if you love your second chance romances, relatable, real, and utterly charming.

I was so excited to read Roarke’s story. You will remember him from The Truth about Cowboys. He is Jason’s best friend. Roark is known as the horse wrangler but he wasn’t able to save his relationship with the only woman that he ever loved. She was the one that got away. He has tried to move on but just couldn’t seem to get over Hannah.

Hannah moves back to Texas from LA. She had a great job as a photographer, but was caught up in a scandal her boss was in. She decided she wants to start her event planning business. After bumping into Roarke at the airport all these past feelings come again. She left Roarke and Texas and never thought she’d see him again. Circumstances have Hannah filling in for her friend doing a photo shoot. Well...Jason and Roarke are the reason for the shoot. She can’t believe it. She puts on her big girl panties and puts her feelings on hold. But she too, never could get over Roarke.

Can these two find love once again?? Definitely pick up the book and read for yourself. It’s a second chance love book. You will not be disappointed. This can be read as a stand alone, but if you want a little more background on Roarke, I’d read A Truth about Cowboys.

I need a Roarke in my life!! Lisa writes another steamy story of redemptive love. Hannah is forced to move home to Sweetwater after things with south with her photography job. The one person she doesn't want to see is the one person her heart had never let go of, the Horse Wrangler, Roarke Frost. She left Sweetwater to get away from this man when he crushed her heart. Now she is face to face with him and has to calm the heart that's about to beat out of her chest. All he sees is the woman he loved then and still loves. Now that she's back he has to make her see that. Can they both put a harsh and secretive past aside to make a new relationship work? Is there just too much to get past?

Lisa once again weaves a story that leaves you cheering for the characters she makes you fall in live with even though at times you want to shake them. This a the perfect Christmas romance.

The second book in Texas Heat, Tangled Up in Christmas, is a sexy, second chance romance. Secrets, heartbreak and misunderstandings, Roarke and Hannah will need to work through them if they have any chance at all. I liked this story, the characters and the delivery.
