The Innkeeper's Bride by Kathleen Fuller is book 3 of An Amish Bride of Birch Creek Novel series. I have not read book 2 yet but that was not a problem.
This is an enjoyable Amish novel with matchmakers, a budding romance, an update on an ongoing romance, family drama, and a medical condition. It basically has something that we all have dealt with in our lives.
I did not want to put it down once I started reading it. The story has an enjoyable flow that will keep you engrossed. You may be left with a craving for an orange twist though.
Fuller has the knack for writing Amish life with family love and humor.
I was given an ARC by NetGalley and the publisher, Zondervan for an honest review.

The Innkeeper's Bride by Kathleen Fuller
With two matchmakers on the loose in the Amish community of Birch Creek, the new innkeeper doesn’t stand a chance in this sweet Amish romance.
When Selah Ropp returns to Birch Creek, she is a different person than when she left. I know I haven’t done much listening in the past, Lord, she prays. But I’m listening now. Her new friend, Cevilla Schlabach, urges her to let go of regrets and allow this to be a fresh start. Cevilla herself, though, hides a secret longing behind her weathered face.
Levi Stoll and his family spent a year transforming a large English house into a small inn. Now that they are open for business, Levi is pleased to have Selah join them as an employee—as long as his grandmother doesn’t try any matchmaking schemes on the two of them. After all, Selah seems as guarded as he feels, and the last thing he wants is for anyone to remind him of his history.
This is Selah Ropp and Levi Stoll's story.
Selah Ropp leaned against a sheltering oak tree in the backyard of the Detweiler place and took a sip of hot chocolate. As she watched adults and children mingling in celebration of Martha and Seth Yoder's marriage, laughter filled the crisp November air, and a group of young adults had just started a rousing game of volleyball nearby. The wedding ceremony had been lovely and touching, and everyone's happiness was contagious. Almost.
She clung to the Styrofoam cup as if the hot chocolate was the one thing keeping her nerves at bay. Conflicting emotions weren't exactly new to her, but she was getting better at managing them. At least she hoped she was.
"Selah!" She looked up to see Martha heading toward her with a grin of wedded bliss. When she reached Selah, she hugged her. "I'm so glad you're here," she said.
Whack! Something had slammed into the side of her head, knocking her off balance. Hot chocolate splashed all over her hands and down the front of her navy-blue coat.
"Oh nee!"
She shook out her hand as Levi Stoll sprinted toward her. He pushed up his silver-rimmed glasses, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, peering at her. "Ira doesn't know his own strength when it comes to hitting a volleyball."
"Sorry!" Ira waved at her from the other side of the net.
I highly recommend reading.

I loved that the author gives us a story with a young woman dealing with depression, often swept under the rug, but with Selah and her trying to go on with her life, we get a glimpse into what she has to deal with.
Then we have a young man that is quickly given more responsibility than he anticipated, and finds out he needs to learn to trust his faith.
Can these two unlikely individuals form a relationship?
Now, I have been a read the other two books in this series, and I love that old characters that I care about are brought back in this book, and we are updated!
We also have Amish match makes at their finest!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan. and was not required to give a positive review.

This was a beautiful story and Fuller is a masterful writer. The characters are realistic and have their flaws which makes the story more interesting. I love the current of faith throughout the book.
Many thanks to Zondervan and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Levi is concerned that his grandmother Delilah is trying to match him with Selah but the two matchmakers have decided to take a step back from matchmaking. Cevilla is more concerned with her relationship with Richard than Delilah's grandson. Selah has returned to town and is now working as a maid at the Levi's family inn. Selah just wants to avoid making a mistake that could get her fired. Levi gives mixed signals to Selah on his interest in her and the two matchmakers might not stay out of their relationship completely. I received a free copy of this eBook from the publisher. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love this sweet Amish love story. It can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I have enjoyed reading all the books. There is humor, faith, and sweet romance. I also love Cevilla's and Richard's relationship as well as the growing friendship between Cevilla and Delilah

The Innkeeper’s Bride has charming and delightful characters that will keep you entertained. Plus, a lesson we would all do well to remember the past is best left behind. Amishman Levi Stoll and his family are trying to open an inn and need a maid. When Selah Ropp is offered the job, she is excited to accept the position. When their personalities collide will they still be able to work together? This is the third book in the Amish Brides of Birch Creek series, and each is stand-alone. You’ll enjoy this story with sweet romance and inspiration.

Book three of the Amish Bride's of Birch Creek Series was very impressive to me as it dealed with issues that happen to real people. Sometimes these issues are difficult to talk about to others as was the case for Selah as she tries to deal with and overcome her fears and her past. It's a realistic view of real life for many people. I like that the book was not all sugar-coated as they showed their individual struggles in life.

Although this was book three, it clearly can be read as a stand-alone. I have read book two, although not book one.

The cover is also so nice. I really liked it! Had to say something about that, too! All in all, I loved it. No dull reading time in between, totally engaging and realistic in every way. Levi and Selah's characters were so believable. Great book, great author!

I received an ebook copy from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Selah Ropp left Birch Creek and now has returned. Changed from when she left, her friend says let this be your new start. When she is hired at the new Amish Inn, Selah loves working there. However, Levi Stoll may be her undoing. Having to run the inn while his father recovers, Levi is also trying to overcome his past mistakes. Will they be able to work together? Will Levi's grandmother play matchmaker much to their chagrin?
Ms. Fuller gives her characters fun but realistic storylines. Forgiving mistakes, overcoming the past, and learning to trust and live in the now and future is a good way to live. Ms. Fuller gives a realistic look at a struggle that many face. She shows how with a little help, one can start to heal and overcome their struggle. I highly recommend this series. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

I was so excited for Kathleen Fuller's new book, The Innkeeper's Bride and I am happy to say that it did not disappoint! The book continues the stories of our friends from Birch Creek. This time, we get to hear Selah and Levi's story. Levi is happy to be in Birch Creek with his family and helping to run the new inn they built, even though business is slow. Selah is glad for the chance to work at the inn and try to get her life in order after a series of events that left her diagnosed with clinical depression. She has determined that she will stay single, so her attraction to Levi makes things difficult for her. The two of them will have to learn to communicate and trust, not only themselves, but also each other. There are some great side stories going on also. Jackson is the first guest at the inn. He was sent there by his father to dig up dirt on it so he can try and put the inn out of business, since he also owns a hotel. However, he finds that he really enjoys the family and his stay. Also, Cevilla and Richard aren't getting any younger! Will the two of them make plans for their future, or is there just too much to sort through? You will have to read it and see! I really enjoyed the book! I am hoping we don't have to wait too long for the next one! If you haven't picked up any of Kathleen's books yet, let me just say that you are missing out! Way worth the time and you will be glad you did!

The Innkeeper's Bride by Kathleen Fuller is the third book in the series The Brides of Birch Creek. Even though Selah and Dylan are the main characters the driving force behind the story, and the series in general, is the matchmaker, Cevilla Schlabach. Cevilla enlists the help of her friends to make sure true love finds the right people. In this book she tries very hard not to play matchmaker to Dylan and Selah. Unfortunately, along with Dylan's grandmother Cevilla can't seem to help herself. Dylan finds himself in charge of the family inn after an accident that prevents his father from taking care of the family business. Selah finds herself with a job at the Inn hoping to be able to move on after an incident in her past affects her future. This is a delightful story and so enjoyable to read. The characters are warm and inviting and I really wish I could spend a few days at Birch Creek in and get to know everyone!

Another sweet story about the Amish of Birch Creek. I loved the Inn atmosphere and his the family supported each other with Grace and humor. I wanted to know more about Selah and her background. I loved that the author didn't make the relationship between Cevilla and Richard an easy one because life is not easy. Enjoyable read.

Kathleen Fuller writes quality Amish Fiction that entertains and engages the reader from beginning to end. The Innkeeper's Bride is the third book in the Brides of Birch Creek series, but easily stands alone.

In this book, Kathleen tackles some of the hard issues in life, one being that of mental illness. Selah Ropp is clinically depressed and is extremely cautious about her relationships. Levi Stoll is the son of an Amish couple who are transforming an Englisch house into a bed and breakfast inn. When Levi's Dat falls off the roof of the house, he has to take over finishing the refurbishing, and then running the Inn. Selah wants to get a job and start supporting herself and the Inn needs a housekeeper, so she applies. Levi's mother sees something more than just a housekeeper, she sees Selah as a possible wife for Levi. It just so happens that there is another meddler in the community named Cevilla Schlabach and the two work together to bring Selah and Levi together.

In dealing with Selah's depression, Kathleen takes the stigma out of seeking psychiatric help for these problems. It's a hard issue to deal with, and Kathleen takes it seriously and writes about it graciously.

This is a five star book, with two thumbs up, and a room at a B&B for a quiet get-away.

HarperCollins and NetGalley.com provided the galley I read for this review.

This was a really cute love story. I enjoyed reading how the inn came together and especially about the other couple's incredible romance story we've been introduced to over the last few books.

I appreciated Selah's struggles and her concern over disclosing these struggles to Levi and his family. I loved the way his family supported her and wrapped around her. I think though readers would have appreciated this more if we were given more of a glimpse of her parents and how they treated her. It's hinted at but never really explained.

The ending felt unfinished.

I tend to really enjoy a good christian fiction book set in an Amish atmosphere. This particular author truly impressed me more than any other I have read so far, for this genre. Ms. Fuller presented a very realistic set of characters that had realistic every day type of struggles that many of us face. One of the main characters struggles with clinical depression that leads to anxiety attacks and a short temper at times. This was not played down at all, and the author faced the ramifications of this head on! Another set of characters were dealing with one of them coming to the faith and sacrificing so much for his faith, and dealing with the consequences of this within his non-amish family. Many characters were faced with real, every day struggles to do with finances, fear, forgiveness toward those who do wrong by them, etc. All of it was shown very realistically, and some of it did not end all pretty with a tidy bow at the end. This impressed me greatly!

I will absolutely be seeking more books in the future written by Ms. Fuller. I have read her books in the past, and as far as I can see she is improving immensely over time. I have always enjoyed her writing, but this book was deeply impressive to me! I highly recommend "The Innkeeper's Bride". Thank you, Zondervan and Netgalley, for allowing me this wonderful opportunity to read this book in advance to it being published!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Innkeeper's Bride is my new favorite Amish inspirational story by one of my favorite authors. I have read almost everything Kathy Fuller has written and this story did not disappoint me in any way. I love how the author takes a subject that is not often touched in Amish fiction and gives us new insight into the culture we thought we knew so well. I recommend this book very highly. Thanks netgalley for gifting me a arc in exchange for this, my honest review
