This is the second book in a series and while it can be read on it’s own, I would recommend you read the books in order. There are a lot of references to previous events that took place in the first book - The Deadly Caress. This was a good mystery thriller and at the start moved from past to present times quite well. It grabbed and kept my attention probably for half of the book. The main character was feisty and likeable. In this book she was searching for her biological father, against advice and when she found him a lot of other characters were introduced into the story which made it a bit confusing and a lot harder to follow. Felt like I kind of lost my way with the story from this point. The ending had references to previous events in the first book, and while the references were vague, you really need to have read the books in the correct order to get the full back story.

A mystery/thriller that sets a fast pace and keeps it moving throughout the story. When a young woman who has been searching for her family finds information that will help in her quest, her efforts draw fire and cause the deaths of many people around her. Following information around the globe, will she find out why everyone wants her to stop her hunt? Great suspense....

This is the first book that I have read in this series. There is a lot happening in it and a lot of different characters. It all seemed too far fetched for me. Sorry

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

This book is a real mess, jumping around in time and having loads of characters, making it very hard to read. The first part is mainly an incredibly stupid assassination plan, and the stupidity keeps coming. And then the words "7 months ago" keep popping up, so I guess this book is not meant as a stand-alone.

WOW! Readers, you do not want to miss this fast-paced thriller!

The story begins with a chase. Snipers are firing at Amanda Blake, her boyfriend, Scott, and her best friend, Anna. Anna's fiancé, Ian, is also with them. This happens in the Blue Mountains of Australia in early April. An exciting opening, without a doubt.

Amanda had just found her biological mother, Jean, in Monterrey, California, only months ago. Her mother passed away shortly after. Now Amanda is trying to find her biological father in Australia. She manages to hear about Frank Giannulli from a priest, Father Riley, who knew the family. The priest happens to be bitten by a snake later that day. This is when the intrigue really begins..

Although warned off the hunt for her biological father by a number of people, including Scott, Amanda is relentless in her search...

Extremely good character portrayal and plot development. Looking forward to O.N. Stefan's next book!

Many Thanks to Payella Pty. Ltd. and NetGalley for a wonderful read.
