This is a cute book for the little ones :) It's so colorful and just all in all fun to learn numbers from.

Absolutely adorable! I loved the illustrations in this book. What a fun choice for fans of Coco! I hope to see more from this author soon.

I absolutely loved this day of the dead counting book. The illustrations and interactions were fantastic and we couldn't put it down. We wanted to read it over and over again.

I'm sure this is a beautiful book and I love the idea of it a lot, but sadly I can't read it, as the pages just appear as either totally black or plain white on my Digital Editions.
It's a DE problem I am confronted with sometimes, I'm certain it's not the book causing the problem.

Skeletitos by Susie Jaramillo is a perfect book for number counting and Halloween. The book is full of wonderful illustrations and each page features a different number and rhyme. My little niece loved this.

This little book is awesome. I read a digital version of it, but it looks like it has some kind of double pages illustrations that you can open up, from the actual normal size page. Anyway, this book is awesome because it has a cute little creepy vibes, perfect for Halloween, it present numbers, but also clock and hours which can always be useful to present and teach to kids, it also has rimes which make it fun to read at loud and it works a bit like an ABC book but with numbers from one to twelve. Original, imaginative and perfectly executed. Congrats to the author!!

super cute for the little kids, those who are learning to count or read. But that's all. the book has no storyline, no characters, etc. and, as a mexican girl, i don't even think that the book is trying to show Día de los Muertos, o something like that.

What a cute learning book using colorful and vibrant characters in the process! Skeletitos is a fun way to teach your child to tell time using rhyming and festive characters. It’s also a way to celebrate the Day of the Dead for those who celebrate! Very original!!

This is a cute little counting/time telling book for kids with a Day of the Dead theme. It's apparently based on a Latin American nursery rhyme and it might work a little better poetically in the original (in times the rhyme and rhythm was a little clunky to read out loud). I read a digital ARC but it appears to have fold out pages and perhaps moveable clock hands, which would be great fun for kids. I love the striking black and white art with little punches of color. This would be an especially fun book for this time of year (fall and Día de los Muertos).

My Thoughts
Who thought skeletons could be so adorably cute? If you did not think that yourself, then this book will prove you wrong. While I read a digital version of the book, it looks like the physical one has pages that fold out to include more of the stylish illustrations, as well as a clock with movable hands that I am sure will delight the young readers.
The book takes the reader from hour to hour as the clock strikes the time, and we have more skeletitos joining in the fun, dancing and jiving and partying their way across the pages, making every moment count (it simply does not matter they are no longer alive)! And I love that the message in the tagline- ‘Make Every Moment Count’ – is highlighted on each and every page of the book, in all the details!
The black and white illustrations are striking and detailed with a single splash of color that adds that ‘POP’ to each page. The text rhymes pretty decently for a translated version; does have some rhymes that seem a bit off but still great fun to read aloud.
Check out the website for fun activities, a sing-along app, a video to enjoy the fun rhymes from this book (with wonderful animation) and more.
In Summary
A totally gift-able book. It is a clackety fun way to learn time, the numbers, and about the Day of the Dead all the while enjoying the gorgeous, detailed illustrations.

This book is so unique and fun, a great way for young children to begin learning to tell the time and to count. The illustrations are amazing, I love the black and white with the small splash of colour on each page. I also love how the book is designed with the flip out pages. I can absolutely see myself gifting this book.

Thank you for the copy!
Skeletitos is such an adorable and fun story to read. I’m an educator, so I enjoyed reading a book, such as this one, that I can share with students. I appreciate the concept of counting numbers and the skeletons as a combination. With every number there was something the skeletons would do. I know it’s meant to be a song and I found myself rhyming as I read. It reminded me of Día de los Muertos, so I appreciate that. Skeletitos is actually in Spanish, meaning “small skeletons.” I would support and promote any cultural books. I think it’s important to share these stories to children so that they can be exposed to the diversity of this world. I would buy myself a copy and read it aloud to kids!

Skeletitos was an adorable "Dia De Los Muertes" (Day of the Dead) tribute. I think young readers will really enjoy the enchanting rhymes and learning about the holiday. It is a good book to use to start explaining the holiday, as well as teaching time and counting. The pencil illustrations are beautiful. I love Jaramillo's art style and would really enjoy seeing more books by her. Very fun, beautiful book! Well done!

Because of the nature of minor changes per page, as you flip the book, you can feel the hour hand of the clock moving. There's rhyme with the time. Skeletitos makes the whole what happens after we die less scary, with cute elephant and dog involved. Life's still the same. You have friends and cake.

Adorable! With Halloween right around the corner, my 2 year old is into all things "spooky". He loved listening to this book. I loved that it rhymed and counted to 12!

I think something's missing reading this in e-book format. It looks like there are flaps to lift, and a clock with movable hands (which, of course, you don't get to play with as an e-book). That said, however, this is a decent book that might help kids learn how to tell time. It also functions as a counting book.
I think whether readers like this one is going to be a matter of taste (and perhaps culture). I find the skeleton drawings--as cute as they are--a bit macabre and creepy. They're almost all in black and white, with just touches of colour, so it's a very dark-looking book. (If you're expecting a Day of the Dead-themed explosion of colour like you'd see in Coco, you're liable to be disappointed.)
Overall, this is just an okay book for me. If kids are really into skeletons and/or Day of the Dead stuff, they might enjoy this more. Its real value probably lies in the counting and time-telling aspects.

Skeletitos is a counting and rhyming book for yoing2 children and perfect for halloween.
I loved the single color pops on each page. It made the illustrations stand out. My favorite thing about the book was what looked like it would be fold out pages to expand the image which children will love!!

5/5 cute. The book was so adorable! With numbers up to 12! I would read more from this author. Childrens books are always fun to read. I would reccomend this to children who are first learning numbers. This will help kids visualize the quantities of 1 to 12.

The artwork is beautiful, but the text is just mediocre. However, it is a super cute book for the spooky season and also helps little ones learn numbers and telling time. I would recommend this book for little ones.

This is the perfect book for this time of year. The illustrations are simply stunning. There's a great beat to the rhyme and it also teaches counting and time. Fun for all ages!
