An amazing 6 star story that had me reading it in one sitting. The night before I read A Lie For A Lie also in one sitting. Once I started I couldn’t seem to be able to put it down.

An highly entertaining and addicting story. It was funny and had me laughing out loud so many times. The bantering between Stevie and Bishop was to die for.

I can safely say it could be read as a standalone but I’m glad I read A Lie For A Lie before. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

A Favor for a Favor will make you laugh from start to finish. I love the fact that Bishop and Stevie both lack verbal filters, so all of their interactions are highly entertaining! From the first page, this story is filled with witty banter, fueled by the mutual hatred that the main characters have for one another, due to a lack of communication. Daily underwear battles are just the beginning of their antics, along with an ex-boyfriend that won't accept it's over. I loved every minute of this book, it was highly entertaining and easily my favorite one in the All In series so far!

I love this author’s male characters, some of them are socially inept, natural a-holes, painfully sincere to the point of insulting, but they hide a good heart inside. I loved Bishop, lovingly called “Shippy” by his younger brother and later on by our heroine (not so lovingly!). He had just joined the NHL expansion team in Seattle, coached by Alex Winters, and with Rook Bowman as team captain. He was a little miffed because he expected to be captain, and there’s tension between them.

When this pink-haired woman moved into the neighboring penthouses that belonged to Rook, he thought she was Rook’s side-piece, so he was at his best snarkiness. Stevie, who had just dumped her cheating boyfriend, rose to the challenge and snarked back. Thus begins a wonderful snark-fest between two neighbors who watch through the peephole so they both come out to snatch their newspapers, each wearing ridiculous clothes; he wore his collection of crazy boxer briefs and she wore sport bras and tiny pants.

When Bishop got injured in a game, Stevie offers to treat him so he can return to the ice faster and in return he will write her a letter of recommendation. And in this favor exchange, they get to spend time together, clear up several misunderstandings, keep on sharing their special wardrobe, and go from friends to lovers to love.

I loved both characters and enjoyed the story tremendously. I had a great time cataloguing Bishop’s briefs:
Crotch has the phrase BEWARE OF FALLING ROCKS with a rockslide right where his peen should be.
A black-and-white checker print, a set of flags crosses over the peen pouch with the words FINISH LINE right over his junk.
Psychedelic print
Hawaiian print
Bright yellow, with CAUTION written all over them, like the tape they use at crime scenes.
Bull’s-eye over the crotch.
With the phrase CHECK OUT MY PACKAGE stamped on the front in warning-sign-yellow letters.
Stevie had some problems with the limelight associated with hockey players. She didn’t want to be associated with her brother’s fame and have people think she got her job using her brother’s contacts. She wants her achievements to be gained on her own efforts. With Bishop, she needs to decide what she wants more; anonymity or her guy. I loved that Bishop, even with his snarky personality, was another person with Stevie. He understood and respected her need to be away from the limelight, he adjusted to her needs and kept things professional when needed, and faced his superiors when necessary to defend his love for Stevie.

I love these stories because they are so feel-good. You get laughs and chuckles but you also get to read about people dealing with real life problems, like Bishop’s younger brother who has diabetes. These are real people with family and jobs, and the family feeling in the stories uplift your mood. It was also interesting to read about Rook from another perspective; arrogant and protective older brother. And I loved Stevie’s snarky remarks to Bishop: “looks at you, with clothes”, totally hilarious.

This is my favorite Helena Hunting book to date!!! Soooooooo good!!! Bishop and Stevie's journey from hate to love is so amazing.

Bishop is a little... ok, he's alot on the jerkish side, but that just adds to his appeal. For me at least. I just loved him! He's rough around the edges and a bit socially inept, but underneath all that he's sweet and swoony.

Stevie is just trying to live her life outside of her brother's shadow, which is hard to do because he's uber-protective. She's feisty and doesn't take anyone's crap, especially Bishop's, and he dishes out a very healthy portion of it.

The chemistry between these two is off-the-charts! I loved the banter between them. And I loved watching them fall together.

His relationship with Rook had me on edge, so I'm glad that worked itself out! And I loved seeing some of the old Pucked crew.

This is a must read! It can be read as a standalone, but I'd highly recommend reading A Lie for a Lie as well, because it's also a fantastic book.

5⭐️

I've been waiting for this book ever since it was announced. I loved the first book and I love hockey, and thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.

This is Bishop and Stevie's story. Stevie is RJ's little sister and Bishop is his new teammate. It's a sweet and swoony story of falling in love unexpectedly. It's an amalgam of tropes—enemies to lovers, falling for the teammate's off-limits sister, friends to lovers... it has everything you'd want to read in a sports contemporary romance.

I have to say, I love this one more than the first one. I don't know... probably because Bishop and Stevie's personal comings and goings is relatable.

This is one of those books where you'd want a paperback copy apart from the ebook one.

This book had me wishing that someone would make a tv series from Helena Hunting’s hot hockey player stories. It also had me wondering if the author had a Pinterest board with images of all of Bishop’s hilarious underwear. I mean, I kept wanting to go and google for pictures of the different ones that were described in the book. Definitely Bishop was a total a-hole to start the book with how he treated Stevie. But the way they had their little underwear face-off every morning was hilarious, and totally made me want my own Bishop. I really liked how other than his a-hole tendencies, he was a pretty good guy. He didn’t have a long list of puck bunny history that Stevie had to worry about, he was a good big brother, and the connection between his brother and Stevie’s dad was a really perfect way to connect the two. It was fun seeing RJ and Lainey, since Stevie is RJ’s sister. And of course any and all time spent with Violet is time that makes me happy. This was definitely very hard to put down, and I would have finished much quicker if work and sleep so that I could work didn’t get in the way.

Stevie's bad day is my best day ever!!!!
There is more to playboy Bishop Winslow than meets the eye. Despite his reputation, he’s on a mission to become the best player on Seattle’s NHL team and he must defend his spot on the team with the Captain, Rook Bowman, who he hates and vice versa. Suffice to say, there is no love lost between these two.
Stevie may have dreamed of a new life and new career with her boyfriend, but never of being without a place to live because she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating.
She refuses to ride on the shirt tales of her superstar NHL brother, but she does accept his help with housing and meets the bane of her existence – Bishop.
Bishop and Stevie are like oil and water. They do not mix. But Stevie offering her help in his rehabilitation becomes a win-win situation for them both. She gets a high-profile client without big brother’s influence, and he gets the opportunity to skate back on the ice sooner rather than later. He hoped her help would save him but working with Stevie will be hard. Especially because of the full-blown attraction and the last thing he wants to do is hurt Stevie and his chances of being on the hockey team.
I love Stevie’s character. She was strong and determined. Bishop was more like a kid playing grown up. But this boxer shorts made great dialogue and became a character of its own. Speaking of dialogue, it was witty and laugh out loud. Bishop and Stevie first meeting was hilarious and worthy of all romantic comedy accolades. I read this book over a 4-day time span. Every night I was craving to finish all my adulting so I can snuggle in with more Bishop and Stevie. Many times, throughout the story, I wanted to slap Bishop on the back of his head. He just didn’t get it sometimes.
A Favor for A Favor is the second book in the new hockey romance series from Helena Hunting, the first of which - A Lie for A Lie. This is however a standalone title, and its not necessary to have read the first book in order to fully enjoy the second.
Rook Bowman, the hero of Lie for A Lie, is the brother of Stevie Bowman and the current Captain of Seattle’s NHL team. Both Rook (RJ) and his wife appear in this book. You will enjoy reading about the dire predicament Stevie finds herself as RJ’s baby sister and you will love revisiting old friends from the previous book.
A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is filled with heart and humor about two people finding their way home with each other. Stevie and Bishop know everything about hockey and nothing about falling in love. When the off the ice secret takes a turn to seduction it creates a huge interference between Stevie and Seattle’s NHL hockey team.

Helena Hunting gives you a story that will pull at your heart strings in so many ways has to be one of my favorite books so far this year.
The story of Stevie and Bishop will pull at your heart string for so many reasons - family, relationships (personal and professional) as well as self confidence.
Stevie and Bishop are not what you would expect as a couple but you will love the wit and chemistry.
Helena out does herself with this book.

: A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is the second instalment in Helena Hunting’s contemporary, adult ALL IN erotic, romance series focusing on NHL’s newest expansion team from Seattle. This is Seattle team member Bishop Winslow, and twenty-four year old, physiotherapist Stevie Bowman’s story line. A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. The ALL IN series is a spin off from the author’s PUCKED series but you do not have to have read the original series to follow.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bishop and Stevie) A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR follows the teammate’s little sister/enemies to lovers relationship between Seattle ‘s newest forward Bishop Winslow, and twenty-four year old, physiotherapist Stevie Bowman. Stevie Bowman’s life was spiralling out of control: a move to Seattle to start a new job and join her boyfriend finds our heroine homeless when she discovers said boyfriend in bed with another woman. Leaning on her brother for support, Stevie moves into Rook Bowman’s vacant apartment only to come face to face with his new neighbor, a man who pushes all of Stevie’s buttons and more. Enter Seattle’s newest defenseman Bishop Winslow, and the man with whom Stevie will fall in love. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Stevie and Bishop, and the potential fall-out when their relationship is discovered by Stevie’s brother, and the team coach.

Stevie Bowman had no idea what to expect when she moved to Seattle but finding her boyfriend in bed with someone else was never on her mind. Moving into her brother’s vacant apartment, Stevie will encounter Bishop Winslow, an irritating a$$hole who believes Stevie is nothing more than a desperate puck bunny looking to hook up with Seattle’s team captain. Bishop Winslow couldn’t believe the nerve of the woman moving into Rook Bowman’s apartment but a pre-season injury finds Winslow facing down his new neighbour when he discovers that Stevie is a physio-therapist, and the person who will help Bishop in his daily recovery.

The relationship between Bishop and Stevie begins acrimoniously. Bishop is all bark, and Stevie isn’t taking any of his crap. But an injured Bishop forces Stevie to make an offer Bishop cannot refuse-a favor for a favor-that will benefit both. The $ex scenes are limited but spicy and hot.

We are reintroduced to Stevie’s brother Rook ‘RJ’ Bowman and his wife Lainey, and coach Alex Waters and his wife Violet, as well as goalie Ryan Kingston: Bishop’s brother Nolan Winslow who struggles daily with his health; physiotherapists Pattie and Jules: and Stevie’s ex boyfriend Joey Smuck-yep Joey Smuck. Ryan’s story line is next in A Secret for a Secret.

A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; of stubborn men, and stronger women. The premise is entertaining and captivating; the slow building romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are colorful and energetic-the back and forth banter is often playful and fun.

If you've never had the pleasure of reading an HH hockey inspired book, then you don't know what you're missing! And you definitely don't want to miss this one. You are going to LOVE Bishop. Well, maybe not at first, but shortly after that you will. This guy is perfectly imperfect. He's often moody, rude, unfiltered, and sometimes kind of a jerk. At this point in his life he has no cares to give anymore. He is who he is and he makes no apologies. But peel away that layer of grumpiness and you're left with the most amazing man. He is surprisingly sweet, sarcastic and funny, and his heart is as big as his underwear collection (I know that doesn't make sense now, but you'll understand soon enough). He simply intriguing and irresistible.

Stevie is amazing. I love her personality. She's also unapologetic for how she is. Her sarcasm rivals Bishop's and she can often be just as grumpy, although to be fair it's usually because of Bishop that she's that way. She’s fun and energetic, a little bit mischievous, and extremely sweet when she wants to be. She’s bold and unfiltered, but she has a softer, more vulnerable side that rounds out her character.

Though things might get off to a rocky start between the pair, the underlying chemistry is slow-burning and will keep you turning the pages. From heated arguments, to inappropriate innuendos, to snarky sarcastic ribbing, these two are highly entertaining. You’ll snort-laugh a lot with this story, but the underlying feels and steamy situations will keep reading. This is a great addition to HH’s hockey family.

A Favor For A Favor is #2 in Helena Hunting's steamy All In series, a spin-off from the Pucked world. Stevie is the little sister of Rook from A Lie For A Lie, and Bishop is his teammate who lives across the hall.

Their meet-cute isn't exactly cute... they get off to a really rocky start, and spend a few weeks purposely pushing one another's buttons. They get one another all riled up, and Bishop cements himself as a a-hole. But when he gets hurt, and Stevie is trying to throw off a crazy ex, they form an agreement: She will rehab him in exchange for him being her fake boyfriend. And while Bishop starts to catch feelings for his fake girlfriend, will he tow the line when instructed to keep his hands off of Stevie by her big brother?

Well, it's a line they are both willing to cross. There are some major sparks between Bishop and Stevie from the get-go, and their banter is witty, caustic and fun. I've enjoyed the first two books in this series and can't wait for Kingston's book next.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Five fantastic stars! I loved this book so much! I couldn't put this book down, and I had a smile on my face the entire time. This couple just did it for me, they worked, and it was one of the best enemies to lovers romance I've read. I loved how Stevie and Bishop's relationship developed and the slow burn, banter and sexual tension. Their initial meet was hilarious and that's the first chapter. So much happened in this book that if I told you it would ruin the laugh out loud and heartfelt moments. I thought Rook and Lainey couldn't be topped but, Helena has proven me wrong with these two. And being a huge fan of the Pucked series, I am so happy to see some of my favorite characters.

I can tell this is going to be another fabulous series by Helena.

My Thoughts:

I am "all in" when it comes to this new spinoff series of Hunting's! Her stories never fail to excite me, and make me smile and laugh! She has a gift with her banter, and the way that she has her characters play off of one another's dialogue!

Stevie is out of a place to live; when she comes home early on her birthday to surprise her boyfriend, and finds him in bed with another woman. She had invested all of her money in to their new apartment, and is now out of a place to stay. Her older brother R.J, offers her his penthouse, a perk from his NHL team; as he lives in a huge house with his wife and child, and doesn't use it. She happily accepts R.J.'s penthouse as temporary housing, until she can get back on her feet and get a new place of her own.

Unfortunately, Stevie is not off to a great start when she meets her rude, and grumpy gorgeous neighbor. Bishop judges Stevie when he sees her by assuming she is R.J.'s mistress, and lacks moral integrity. Yet, he can't help but be attracted to her.

When Bishop, suffers a major groin injury, they make an arrangement that Stevie will use her expertise in sports rehabilitation to do physical therapy on him, so that he can get back on the ice as soon as possible. Bishop will then be a reference for her, which will look great on her resumé. However, what starts as a business arrangement quickly becomes more complicated, when Stevia and Bishop start falling for one another.

I loved a Favor for a Favor. I relished the day to day interactions between Stevie and Bishop. I was completely in the moment with these two characters, and time seemed to pass so quickly as I read their story.

I enjoyed these characters unique personalities. Stevie was really sweet, caring, and laid back, except when it came to the fact that she didn't do well with public attention. Bishop was an entertaining character. I loved the fun sayings on his underwear, his lack of filter, because he was one to speak his mind, and zero tolerance for not being genuine. He could definitely be rude and antisocial, but his character grew on me, we got to see how huge his heart was!

Stevie and Bishop had incredible chemistry, and I loved how their relationship grew from a friendship. It was fun watching them bicker over pizza toppings, cuddle up and watch hockey together, and have each other's back when life got tough. I loved the way Stevie wasn't afraid to put Bishop in his place regarding his therapy, and he was extra patient and sensitive to her needs. A Favor for a Favor was such a fun, sweet, and entertaining read, and I enjoyed every moment of it!

4.5 Stars!

Another HIGHLY entertaining read in Helena Hunting’s All In series. Appearance from a few of her PUCKED characters was quite reminiscent. I always enjoy an appearance from Violet ♥️.

The tension between Stevie and Bishop was quite intense. He didn’t make a good impression and that got them off on the wrong foot which actually fueled the sparks flying. A Favor for a Favor was a slow and sweet burn of passion and love. And I loved every moment whether they were barring insults or indirectly flirting, the chemistry between them was smolderingly sexy and funny all at the same time.

With an overprotective brother in the NHL, Stevie has no desire whatsoever to be near the spotlight or her brother’s shadow. Bishop is gruff and comes across quite rude most of the time. But to see them slowly change as they got to know each other was so sweet. She brought out the gentler side of him. Plus her personality was sharp enough to handle is rough edges. The were truly a per match.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!

This was such a fun read! Enemies-to-lovers with an overprotective brother, an obtuse ex-boyfriend, some hilarious misunderstandings, and a mutually beneficial arrangement.

This book picks up a little while after A Lie For A Lie, and the new Seattle NHL team is in pre-season training. Stevie Bowman has just arrived in Seattle to move in with her boyfriend, only to find him balls deep in someone else. On her birthday. Angry and humiliated, she gratefully accepts her brother RJ’s offer of his team-issued condo. While trying to access it, she accidentally wakes up her neighbor. Let’s just say that they both make a terrible first impression.

Over the next few weeks they engage in a hilarious morning underwear battle, with both of them secretly lusting after the other. Meanwhile, Stevie is starting her new job as a physical therapist, which happens to be in the same clinic where her ex is a personal trainer. Luckily, she makes some new friends on her first day.

During an exhibition game, RJ’s teammate and nemesis Bishop takes a nasty hit and sustains an even nastier groin injury. When he arrives home he finds himself locked out of his condo, and is found in the hallway by his new neighbor. Yes, Stevie. They finally make introductions and set some records straight, and Stevie offers to help Bishop with his recovery. During their sessions they develop a sort of friendship, much to RJ’s chagrin, and lines start to get blurred. There are some very funny scenes at this stage – I found myself snort-laughing at work several times!

This wouldn’t be a Helena Hunting book without someone putting their foot in their mouth, and Bishop manages to mess up spectacularly – several times, as does Stevie. They both have some learning and maturing to do over the course of the book. Bishop isn’t even all that likeable at first, but he definitely grows on you.

If you enjoyed the Pucked series and A Lie For A Lie, you’ll enjoy this book and it’ll make a nice addition to your collection.

I loved Helena Hunting's "A Favor for a Favor," a tremendously entertaining story featuring well-developed, likeable characters and a nicely paced romance. Main characters Stevie and Bishop had amazing chemistry from the very beginning, and it was torture waiting for them to finally do something about it! There was plenty to keep me laughing while I waited, however. I especially enjoyed Bishop's boxers with their hilariously inappropriate sayings as well as the nickname Stevie's friends, Pattie and Jules, gave him as a result. There was also a great scene that called to mind the "Magic Mike" movies and had me laughing so hard I was nearly in tears.

Stevie was a wonderful lead character, fiercely determined to build her career as a physical therapist based on her own talent rather than relying on favors from her older brother, NHL star Rook Bowman. Stevie and Rook had a very complicated relationship, and while it was sweet that he tried so hard to help and protect her, he definitely took things too far sometimes. Stevie had the right to make her own life choices, even if Rook considered them to be mistakes. That included dating his teammate, Bishop, who was far from Rook's favorite person.

Even though he didn't always get along with Rook, I adored Bishop and thought he was a great match for Stevie. He came across as a grump at times, but beneath that gruff exterior was a caring, sweet, and funny man who, like Rook, went out of his way to take care of the people he loved.

Overall, "A Favor for a Favor" was a delightful addition to the All In series, and I am very much looking forward to reading book #3.

Another five star from Helena Hunting! I loved this one so much and cannot wait for the next in the All In series. Stevie and Bishop were perfect! My only complaint is how Rook acted but hey he can’t be perfect all the time.

Stevie receives the birthday present that she didn’t want when she walks in on her boyfriend cheating on her but at least she knows her brother has her back. He has arranged for her to stay in his apartment while he is out of town but even that turns into a comedy of errors when she runs into his teammate Bishop.

Bishop is a professional hockey player who is irate to the extreme when a woman is making a ruckus in the hallway in the middle of the night. He has no idea why she is trying to get into his teammate’s apartment but the one thing he does know is she doesn’t belong there.

These two had no intention of seeing each other however when Bishop is injured he needs a physiotherapist, and Stevie is a physiotherapist who needs a client. It seems like the perfect solution to both their problems what could possibly go wrong?

What a fun story this turned out to be. Hot chemistry, humorous banter and all the feels as not only do we get to see the relationship between Stevie and Bishop unfold but we get to catch up with all the characters we know and love as well.

Fun, snarky, clever, hilarious, hot and heartfelt. And fun. So much FUN!! Gah! I adore Bishop and Stevie! The scene when they first meet is more of a meet-hate than a meet-cute, and the momentum just snowballs from there.

Stevie Bowman is not having a good day. She moved to Seattle with her boyfriend, both lives and works with him, and just walked in on him and another woman in their bed. It’s late, she's devastated, she's tired, she's frustrated with fighting her broken suitcase, and she just wants the stupid lock on her brother's empty apartment to work. Then she gives us my favorite line in the book after tripping due to the problematic suitcase: “I lie there for a few seconds, waiting for a piano or a safe to fall from the ceiling and land on top of me, because it’s been that kind of a day.” Hashtag NoTruerWords

Enter Bishop Winslow, teammate of Stevie's brother RJ and the across-the-hall neighbor, in all of his glorious, larger-than-life, boxer-clad beauty. Too bad his personality is the exact opposite of his looks. There's not a compassionate cell in his DNA for the hot mess that is Stevie as he takes her to task for making so much noise. Even worse, he makes assumptions that increase his jerk quotient by about a thousand percent. And then things really get interesting. When Bishop gets injured during a hockey game, Stevie agrees to work her physical therapy magic on his injury to get him back in the game sooner.

With an abundance of madcap comedy, sarcastic and entertaining banter, and laugh-out-loud moments, this book also goes surprisingly deep. Stevie has always been in the shadow of her famous brother, and RJ treats Stevie more like he's her father than her brother. With as strong, ambitious and feisty as Stevie is, it was interesting to see how this dynamic was played out. And Bishop, for all of his bluster and jerk factor, really cares about the people in his life but has a few lessons coming his way, as well.

This one captivated me from the very first scene and I flew through the pages, reading it in one sitting. With the essential elements of humor, heat and heart woven perfectly together throughout the story for the maximum emotional impact, these characters will live in my heart forever. If you like a book that takes you on the best kind of emotional roller coaster, leaves your face with a smile and your heart with a happy sigh, you absolutely won’t want to miss this one!
