E.V.A.IN.E. by Jackson Burrows.
Book 1 There Was a Place.
A world exists where the Incomparable Beauty of an Alien Technology Meets Its Ultimate Challenge: To remain Protector of Their Secret Transcendent Yet to Be Born.
A slow but good read. I did manage to read it all. 3*.

This is a real mix of Science Fiction and horror.

This is a complex / well developed story with good characters.

It did take me a while to get into the story but it is certainly worth the effort.

i enjoyed reading this book, it had a uniqueness in the scifi genre. I enjoyed the characters and reading this journey. I look forward to more from the author and hopefully more in this series.

I thought this was an interesting premise. It's mostly well-executed with creative tech and well formed characters.. The author has a very good imagination, and got the feeling he really enjoys writing. I'll have to check out the next book.

I really appreciate the NetGalley copy for review!!
