Simple no fuss meals designed for two. In that regard it delivers. No complicated ingredients or cooking times with a variety of staple meals to choose from. Nothing new or exciting but solid nonetheless.

I received this arc from NetGalley for an honest review. I need and want this book. With excellent recipes, and easy to find ingredients, this is the perfect cookbook for just a few people or even someone who is single.

This is the perfect cookbook for two or even one. I'm single but these recipes work good for just me too. I have always had the problem of making way too much. I highly recommend this book.

Super simple, no-stress recipes that are optimized for two people. That actually isn't so easy, It was surprisingly helpful to see the right amounts for meals for two, you'd think it was easy enough to work out on your own but I always end up making too much for just me and my husband.
There's a nice range of different cuisines and it was also helpful that the author includes which kind of pot to use (including the Instant Pot, and I'm always looking for new ones to use there!). Never more than a handful of steps in each recipe but lots of helpful tips and techniques and options for things to switch in or out. They're also generally quite healthy and nutritious and inexpensive, common ingredients.

I'm excited to try the curried pumpkin soup, sun-dried tomato tortellini soup, soba veggie salad, broccoli and sweet potato sheet pan, shrimp and grits, and tuna ravioli lasagna (sounds a bit weird at first but actually really good!)

Good variety of recipes for two people. Nice to have choices. Great pictures to compliment the recipes. Cooking for two can be tricky and this helps with the right portions and number of ingredients. Would recommend.

I enjoyed the recipes in this book. I also enjoyed seeing the recommended pot to cook the dish in. I also found it super user-friendly that the author shared tips about how to shop smart for two people. I made several of the dishes and they were delicious. I just wish each recipe had a photo to show what it looks like. I like to make food based off what it looks like. Sometimes I can’t imagine if I’d like that food or not just by reading the recipe.

I enjoyed this book! It has lots of great ideas that I'll probably work into the rotation for myself, my husband, and my two year old. (Not quite cooking for 2, but I'm sure these recipes will suffice for the three of us!) Many of the recipes are low-mess, low-fuss, and that's really all I am looking for in a recipe these days.

Also I enjoyed the ease of use of the ebook format.

I have to tell you I do not own one-pot. I use these recipes in slow cooker just with different cooking time. What I liked here was the fact that the book has recipes that are not only easy but fit for two. If you have more people jist double and triple the recipe and it will do the trick.
I loved seafood recipes.
I did enjoy photos and descriptions.
Good book to have!

When there are only two people in a household, it’s difficult to make meals without leftovers. People are often too busy to make large meals and divide them into freezer meals for two. That’s why Linda Kurniadi’s cookbook, One-Pot Cooking for Two: Effortless Meals for Your Sheet Pan, Skillet, Slow Cooker, and More, is so timely. This is an excellent cookbook for couples, empty nesters, and college students- cooks who need recipes scaled for small meals.

There is a lot of variety of recipes in this cookbook: Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, American, and others. The recipes are well-written and easy-to-understand, so they are suitable for both beginning and advanced cooks. They also utilize slow cookers, Pressure cookers, sheet pans, and skillets. That makes it easy for everyone. Some of the best recipes that turned out delicious include Chicken Barley Soup, Breakfast Naan Pizza, and Thai Chicken Salad. In the ever growing queue are Baked Stuffed Chicken Saltimbocca, Sriracha Glazed Chicken, Sheet Pan Steakhouse Dinner, and Garlic-Parmesan Smashed Potatoes with Bacon. There are dozens of recipes in this cookbook that are mouthwatering.

The one big drawback to this cookbook is the fact that there are very few photographs. When are publishers and authors going to learn that readers and cooks like to know what the dish should look like, and the lack of photographs is a travesty, especially in a time when photos are so easy to insert. No matter how good the recipes are, some will never be noticed because they fall through the cracks aren’t noticed because of the lack of pictures.

This cookbook, however, is loaded with good recipes, and albeit photos, it is still excellent and includes recipes cooks really want to cook.

Some recipes from the book: Kitchen Sink Omelet, Mediterranean Breakfast Pitas, Potato Leek Frittata, Tater Tot Casserole, French Onion Mushroom Soup, Crispy Eggplant Salad with Halloumi Cheese, Eggplant Parmesan, Shrimp n Grits, Thai Zoodle Fish Curry...I could keep going as this book contains many choices.  In each case the quantity is for two people.  The author details the cooking vessel needed for each recipe and gives clear instructions.  There are additional sections on topics including things to have in your pantry of what to get at the grocery store.  All in all, this looks like a good resource for meals that are not too difficult to prepare.

This simple cookbook with recipes for a quick meal might be a good purchase for a busy person who needs a basic set of recipes. The "one-pot" moniker refers to using one cooking "container," such as a skillet, baking pan or cooker. The recipes seem easy enough and there is quite a variety. But, I don't see anything that really makes this stand out from other similar cookbooks. And, though I know it adds to the expense of production, I think it's really important to include more photos of the finished products. A recipe is much more appealing to me (and I think also the younger generation used to visual stimuli) than just a page of words.

One-Pot Cooking for Two by Linda Kurniadi is perfect for hubby and I. Sometimes I just don't want to make a recipe that serves 4-6 and still have leftovers. Hubby often says he is the leftover king, I don't often eat leftovers. Just something about reheating food is distasteful to me. I know I am fussy but I like fresh food.
So this cookbook is perfect for those times that I really don't want leftovers. This cookbook has 100 recipes and can be made with a sheet pan, pot on the stove, dutch oven and even the pressure cooker.
At the beginning of the book is a guide as to what to have in your pantry for staples. There are ideas on how to plan your meals, how to shop for two and even what equipment to use per recipe.
The sections include Breakfast and Brunch, Soups and Salads, Vegetable Mains, Seafood, Poultry, Meat, Snacks, and Sides. I found quite a few recipes that I bookmarked; Potato Leek Frittata, Tater Tot Casserole, Quinoa Vegetable Soup, Honey Garlic Chicken Wings and Mediterranean One Pot Chicken and Rice. I am eager to make these recipes. Probably within the next week or two.
I love the looks and simplicity of each recipe with ingredients that are not fancy and hard to get. We live in a small town with only one grocery store and Walmart so I want to be able to get what I need.
The only thing that was not in the cookbook was desserts. Not a problem though as I have a ton of other cookbooks with the dessert options in them.
I like this cookbook and highly recommend it.

One-Pot Cooking for Two is a recipe collection and tutorial guide by Linda Kurniadi. Released 15th Oct 2019 by Callisto on their Rockridge Press imprint, it's 265 pages and available in paperback and ebook format.

I am a collector of cookbooks (most people who like cookbooks are, I think). I am great at trying them out and not so great at using them. The Joy of Cooking is an exception, but I digress. This cookbook will be one I go back to over and over. I am really -really- bad about hating to cook if I'm alone. I am edging toward empty nest syndrome and when it's just me, I tend to rely on quick toasted sandwiches and soup. I know myself well enough to know that anything complex which will require substantial cleanup isn't going to get a chance.

This cookbook provides a utilitarian alternative. The included dishes are arranged thematically by main ingredient (meat, poultry, etc) or meal type (breakfast, sides, soups/salads, veggies, and others).

The recipes follow the same format throughout. A short description with a header containing extra info labels such as 'comfort food', 'super quick', 'gluten free', 'vegetarian', etc is followed by a sidebar illustration which contains info about the prep method and yields. Recipe ingredients are listed in a sidebar bullet point list with measurements in US standard measures. (There is a measurement conversion table included at the back of the book, but it's a hassle not to have them included). The cooking instructions (listed in sequential order) are easy to follow and efficiently written. Nutritional info is provided in the page footer under the cooking instructions with calories, fat, carbs, protein, fibre, sugar, and sodium listed.

The recipes' ingredients are easily sourced and the resultant dishes are family friendly (if you multiply up) and appealing to kids and adults. My one small quibble with the book is that the recipes are mostly not photographed. There are some photos, and they're clear and attractive, but they represent about 5% of the recipes. Everything else is well done and I heartily recommend the book overall.

It's unclear from the publishing info available online, but the eARC I received has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links and references. I hope the ebook release version does also. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately. Presumably that feature will carry through to the final release version.

Four stars. This is a solid recipe book which will be used. It would make a superlative housewarming gift to a friend or family member living on their own - new graduate, newlyweds, kids flying the nest, etc.
