Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

Bear loves noodles and is upset when he realizes that he has run out! Unable to find any in his woodland home, he travels to the big city, where he becomes a contestant on his favorite show, Noodle Knockout. There he finds success, but discovers that he misses his friends.
Gravas does a lovely job with the digitally-created illustrations, which are bright and colorful, and akin to an animated television show or movie. They accompany the text well, and the cover art will draw in the reader. Unfortunately, the story is not as engaging as the illustrations. While it is adequately written, it does not stand out among the books with a comparable story line.
While it may be an enjoyable book, ultimately, this book is forgettable.

This book was cute and I really liked the idea behind it. It just was missing something for me. The illustrations are adorable too!

Noodle loving bear ditches friends to live that crazy pasta life until he realizes there is more to life than slurping noodles.
I liked the story, but the layout felt more like a storyboard than a picture book. Which makes complete sense knowing the authors background in animation.
Thanks to Candlewick Press and Netgalley for the Advanced Reader Copy.

A super cute book about exploring what you love at the moment and the ability to go home to friends.
A great book of illustrations and easy reading for emerging readers. Fun pictures allow readers to make their own assumptions and enjoy the story as well.
Extremely well done and fun.

Childrens picture book. This is a story of a bear who spent the winter watching a noodle-based TV show, and has unfortunately run out of his own noodle supply. So he goes to the city to try and compete on this show. He makes it on and eats a ton of noodles ans eventually goes back to the forest. An okay story, but not much character growth. Also kind of a weird format, it is almost a graphic novel which would make it hard to read aloud.
Thank you to Candlewick and Netgalley for the chance to review an advanced copy of this title.

Review to come June 30th on blog/goodreads.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
A bear with a mission. To eat all the noodles he can find. Yep, this bear is addicted. He loves all sorts of yummy noodles from fat to gravy (ewww). But the noodles are all out (this is what happens when you binge not only your favourite show but also your favourite food for 3 months straight, I am amazed that the bear still can walk). His friends do try to help him out... in their own way. Which didn't help at all, but hey they tried.
He decides to head to the big big city far far away. I had a laugh at how he travelled and laughed even harder at that last vehicle and who was on it. HONK!
I loved the tv show though I would have liked to see it a bit more. Now it was just one page and that was just not enough for me. It was such a big thing in the book and then it was over before I knew it.
As expected, this is something we see more often in picture books, Bear misses something else in his life now. I loved his decision, I would have done the same. The travel part was once again hilarious, how far is the city from the forest????
The artstyle was just adorable and fun, I really love the style. It was a bit more cartoony than I normally see in picture books so I was very happy with something different. I want to check out more what this illustrator has done.
All in all a fun book with noodles of friendship. Recommended.

Noodle Bear is a cute and empowering story about a bear with an unlikely dream and the lengths he goes to chase it. He's chasing noodles too, but they're one and the same.
It's a sweet and fun story with bright illustrations and a cute cast of animal characters.
In spite of realizing his dreams and becoming a star, bear stays true to his roots and returns home to his friends, so there are a number of talking points in this story for parents to get kids thinking.
Many thanks to Penguin Random House and NetGalley for the advance copy.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Candlewick Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. This is a cute, silly story about a bear obsessed with noodles. He has an adventure with nooxles, and realizes he misses home and his friends. Cute premise. Very cartoonish. Bear reminds me of Yogi. 3.5 stars

Noodle Bear is about Bear, a bear who likes noodles. A lot. He likes them so much, he spent his whole winter watching a noodle-based TV show and eating noodles, while he should've been sleeping.
When it's spring, he discovers he has no more noodles, so he leaves his forest friends to go to the city and become a contestant on the noodle-based TV show.
The story is cute, the art is even cuter. It has a Cartoon Network vibe, which is not that strange because the author and artist is a TV animator.
Be warned - you will need to buy some noodles before reading, as I predict any child who hears this story will want some, as soon as possible.

Noodle Bear is a cute story of a bear who loves noodles and thinks that is all he wants in the world. What he soon finds out is that maybe noodles weren't all there was. The story was cute, but lacks purpose. Illustrations were wonderful and storyline adequate.

What a fun children's book! The story is unique and plot unexpected. It follows Bear, who loves eating noodles. He meets up with his friends in the forest, but there are no noodles. Bear leaves and goes on an adventure to find more noodles! Adults and children will enjoy this entertaining and humorous story. This would be best for kids 3 and up.
Thank you NetGalley and Candlewick Press for providing this ARC.

Bear loves noodles so much, he leaves his friends and his beloved forest for the big city, and a spot on a noodle eating challenge! My five year old and I enjoyed this book about Bear's journey from forest to the city and back again, and his realization that he can indeed have the best of both worlds!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC.
