Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. This story takes an apocalyptic view of climate change for the near future. It does well in describing the posible outcomes of rising sea level and the effect that would have on humanity. The characters are weakly developed and the story is plodding and without excitement. Lots of unattained potential here.

In the not too distant future a group of people with disparate backgrounds from the US try to illegally cross into Canada. Strong world building including a dismal view of the eastern seaboard and Mid-America experiencing extensive flooding from the Gulf of Mexico.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was quite different to my recent reads.The characters were interesting and so was their journey.I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt but otherwise a good book
