Read this with my daughter. Who throughly enjoyed it. She also enjoyed the colourful illustrations. Will 100% buy her a copy.

Sue is an adorable little character who works hard, never gives up and is a perfect role model for kids, showing them that dreams and wishes can come true when you hang in there and never, ever give up. The rhyming text paired with fantastic illustrations and a wonderful life lesson will be a hit with kids of a variety of ages.

Sue dreams of having two golden fish and through brute persistence her parents grant her wish and guess what? She not only gets two fish but three. Lucky girl.

Sue loves life and dives in trying her hand at singing, playing soccer, ( which the author calls football ), painting beautiful pictures, and reading a ton of books that she borrows from the local library, just to name a few.

The one thing that is her Achilles heel is trying to understand how to tie her shoelaces. She tries every way under the sun to achieve her goal. She leans in, focuses on the problem, and perseveres. After nearly one hundred attempts she stands up proudly. Mission accomplished!

This inspiring book is a great one to add to your collection and should be in every classroom and elementary school library. I recommend it.

This is a heartwarming children's book with beautiful illustrations throughout. It's a heartwarming and uplifting story that essentially tells children that whatever you think you can't achieve - you can when you put your mind to it.

The only thing I didn't like about the story is that the girl seems to get ANYTHING she wants, even pets and silly things by merely persisting. It's great that the book is encouraging, but some things are just unobtainable and unrealistic.

This story is about little Sue, who if she puts her mind to it and works hard can do anything she wants to. The illustrations are amazing and I like the theme of the story but this is not something I see myself reading to my young daughters. The story doesn't flow well. It has some rhyming but it is not consistent.

This book was given to me an an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in an exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

What a delightful little book! I'm always looking for uplifting and motivating books and my two year old loved this one. So sweet and the message is perfect for todays world

We especially loved the illustrations that were bright and colorful and they helped to keep her engaged and listening. Definitely a book to keep on the shelf and read again and again. Everyone need to be reminded from time to time that a little persistent and hard work can always pay off!

You Can Do Anything You Want is a picture book with adorable illustrations. The book opens by telling the child you are reading to that all of their dreams will come true if he or she believes in them and does his or her best.

Little Sue wants two fish and gets three – after her parents tell her no, she just persists until they apparently give in. She wants to sing and poof is on stage. Football (soccer) is the next thing she aces even though she “is a girl”. She excels in school and art. The only thing that takes her a while to figure out is tying her shoes.

The message that you just have to believe and try your best to be the best is not right for young children. Or anyone for that matter. Encouragement is great, but telling a child that “all your dreams can and will be true” seems a disservice and sets them up for failure.

The rhyming text was stilted and seemingly forced in several places. Personally, I would have preferred non-rhyming sentences for this story unless all of them are spot on.

Picture books can be silly, zany and funny, but should not make unrealistic promises to young children. By telling a child he or she can do anything sets them up for failure at some point, because no one can do anything they want to do or be good at everything.

You can do anything you want
All your dreams can come true by Oliver Griffin
Colorful children's rhyming story about patience and hope.
Have faith in your dreams, they can come true, you have to work at them.
Susie has many dreams and she goes about trying to make them happy. She gives up on many of them, at least after trying them first.
One thing that still puzzles her is how to tie your shoes. She uses many resources...
Cute story. Print is hard to read but you can enlarge the digital version.
