this was an interesting read, I enjoyed going through it and was looking forward to the next book in the series.

DNF - Stunning cover, with a fascinating premise, but unfortunately the execution was off for me. I couldn't connect with the voice of the protagonist, I found him quite patronizing and didn't enjoy reading his point of view. I decided to put this one down.

I loved the cover for this book and thought the plot sounded intriguing so I quickly grabbed it up. I was pretty disappointed. The concept is great but it was too slow with way to many details given in one chapter. I felt no connection to the main character whatsoever which is not a good thing to have in a book. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

I received a free ebook of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had no expectations for this and was pleasantly surprised. This is aimed a young audience so it's a pretty easy read, but it's well crafted and the author shows his imagination nicely. It also has a bit of a movie-feel to it. Scifi fans seeking a quick read will likely dig this.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.

The coverart for Aura really caught my eye. The summary was pretty vague / short so I really wasn't sure what to expect of this book.

And unfortunately, it all felt... really off to me. I'm not sure how to put it into words.. but the other review was correct in that it was "dry."

This book was very much a dry monologue. It eventually it got a little better but it was only barely interesting enough to keep reading. I didn't much care for it.
