Not sure how to feel about The Cracked Slipper it feels like a retelling of Cinderella and ends up being more twisted than anyone will expect. The pacing needs more editing as it has moments of stopping and starting or at times feeling the character was written and place into the story with lack of connection. There are also several spelling errors that are a little hard to over look taking reader out of the story the author worked so hard to bring to life.
Not sure why the author used more modern terms in her more period book once again taking reader out the story not sure if they want to go back to reading it.
With proper editing and a few fixes here and there the story could turn out to be a much better read.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of the books.
