he Fourth book of the series. And wow!! as like wow!!!!

The action, are here. I cried several times each time i turn the page and I soooo love that all of them are together. Nick. well i want to know if he will have the next book or will it be Lily. I mean that girl something.

As the story of the series progress, the same with the maturity of the characters. You can see why they are brothers by choice if not fate.

The way the lessons and how each of them are bought back to life reflects our own in a way.

I cannot wait for the next book if there will be one.

As the forth book of this series, I really reget not having read the other ones. Based on this novel, the whole series is a blat and I'm eager to read the previous and following volumes.

D.B. Reynolds returns to her exciting and magical Stone Warriors series with Dragan, a man destined to be alone not only because of his life commitment to battle, but because of the stone curse his enemy cast upon him and his brothers in arms.

Maeve Collins is a smart and kind computer geek with an affinity for antiques, hired by Dragan’s enemy to catalogue his collection of artifacts. None captivated her the most than the magnificent winged stone warrior who she talked to sitting by his taloned wing as if he could hear and respond.

The amazement when he broke free was soon replaced with a fierce determination to help him find his warrior family. She expected to be chased, but not fall in love. Can Dragan and Maeve find Nick Katsaros and his brothers before Sotiris catches up to them? And will they be able to defeat him?

Reynolds delivers an exciting and sizzling romance between Dragan and Maeve. The suspense as they race across the country is tangible while the romance scorches the pages. Dragan is a compelling hero whose protectiveness is on par with his devotion and attention to “his Maeve.” It was so very easy to fall in love with him despite being depicted as a monster. And even though there was some self-doubt on Mae’s part, she was his perfect match.

The plot was hooking and I loved catching up with the rest of the couples from previous books and getting a cameo from a beloved couple from Reynolds’ Vampires in America. Reynolds is a master of the paranormal genre and delivers a compulsively readable story. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

Dragan is book #4 of the Stone Warriors series by author D.B. Reynolds. It’s told from various points of view with an introduction into the next book.

It was a time when gods walked the earth, when armies fought not for bits of land, but for the very existence of humanity. This is is first line of the description of this series of books. The author knows how to capture your attention. If you haven't read these books, you should as each one gets better. I think "this is my favorite, another comes out and i think the same things". During the times when there were Gods on Earth, there was an evil man who imprisoned these warriors in stone statues. When a woman finds them and believes they have a soul, they are loosed.  Maeve believed in Dragon and he was freed. A deep love developed between them as they try to stay alive. That's when things get tense. There's a war going on and until this enemy is defeated by all the warriors, the world is not safe. Nick or Nico is an old flame of Cyn's, Raphael's mate. He is one of these warriors left free so he will be tortured knowing his brothers are not free. Sotiris, the villain must be defeated. There is something the warriors have that he wants. Will the warriors survive the battle? Will they defeat the evil Sotiris? this book is amazing. I love everything about it. I do want to see Nick get his happily ever after. I received this book from Net Galley and Belle Books.for a honest review.

Ok let me just say I started the series with this book. I wasn't aware there were books before Dragan. So I went in blind as to any back stories or what the heck is really going on and I managed to DEVOUR Dragan and Mae and their story. I didn't at anytime feel as if no was missing anything nor do I think I'd have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books.

Dragan and Mae gave a fantastic read full of suspense and angst until...well you'll just have to read it because I won't spoil it. DB. Reynolds is a wonder at digging deep and creating a world and characters are that engaging and entertaining. The men are adorable and perfect and totally have some alpha going on but their woman are perfect made for them and keep them toeing those lines!

I will most definitely go and pick up the previous books so that I can read them before we get Nico's book, and I am really excited about that one.

Once again D.B. Reynolds has a masterful tale ready for our consumption. Maeve, a computer geek and gamer breaks Soltiris evil spell and Dragan is freed. Maeve and Dragan then fight for their lives as they race against time and evil to join the other stone warriors and Nico. The book ends on a cliffhanger so be warned. The sex scenes are steamy and the battle scenes are amazing.

I was really looking forward to this one, because DRAGON. Sadly, Dragan is not a dragon. Talk about a let down. So in the beginning, this was really good. I loved both main characters and thought their relationship was believable. But eventually, my entertainment started to wane. I mean, how much can one really enjoy reading about a couple people driving across the country? And that's what an overwhelming amount of this book was. We barely had any excitement or action until around the last 10% of the book and even that was disappointing.

Maeve was a pretty relatable character in a lot of ways. I really liked how she was finally a female in this series that didn't treat Nico like shit. That has made me so mad each time. She ended up working for Sotiris, basically cataloguing his relics and magic pieces without realizing exactly what they are. She stays in this big house alone and usually that doesn't bother her, but lately she can't help but think her life should be more. She finds solace in talking to a statue that is male perfection with wings. She doesn't know why, by Sotiris is constantly screaming at the statue and she feels compelled to try and cheer it up. Because, why not.

I really liked Dragan. He has a sad backstory but definitely an interesting one. And his never ending loyalty to Nico was a beautiful thing because I love loyal men. In his statue he has been Sotiris's possession for a couple hundred years I think it was. Oddly enough, some of the ways Sotiris tried to make him suffer actually helped him stay sane and learn a little of the current world.

I honestly am not completely sure how Maeve broke Dragan's curse. With the other three it was obvious, but I'm not positive here. I think it was because she was thinking about him and how he is not the monster that Sotiris is. Maybe? Anyway, when Maeve hears a loud crashing noise she goes to investigate what it was and comes face to face with her statue come to life. She doesn't want to believe it but everything points to him telling her the truth. And it's not long before the two of them are rushing out of the house before Sotiris gets back while taking along some souvenirs. One of which with be most important in Nico's war against him.

So like I said, a great majority of this book is these two heading to Florida because Maeve had overheard an angry rant from Sotiris about that state. Chances are pretty high that he hates that state because Nico lives there and that means they should be relatively safe there. It just so happens that Maeve is some hacking wizard (this author is really fond of hackers isn't she?) and while they're on the road she uses her skills to locate the address of somebody that could be Nico.

On the way, they are attacked by some vampires and by some people sent by Sotiris. Don't worry, they always make it out just fine so we can hit the road some more. FINALLY we make it Nico's. I was so happy when Dragan was reunited with his brothers and with Nico. And I especially loved getting more Damien. Now here is where one might think that things are going to really pick up. But they don't. Not really anyway. See, Sotiris has been working on a little project that he was going to use Dragan to power, but with him lost he had to find another power source. So he goes for the vampires. Usually, I LOVE series that tie together, but it really bothers me here. I don't know, I just think these two should stay separate. Using his test of this new creation as a trap for Nico, Sotiris goes after what Maeve stole from him when she was fleeing his house. And boy does he work hard to get at it. But in the end it's not even Nico that confronts him and he flees AGAIN. It's getting tiresome how each book ends with him running away.

I am very curious about the person Nico goes to at the end. But at the same time it also doesn't make sense how he wasn't able to find them before and now it was so easy. I'm assuming that Nico's book is next and I love him too much not to be excited.

One pet peeve of mine, which happened quite a bit here, is when the main couple is in a super big hurry to get somewhere or to find something, or they're being chased by bad guys and don't know when they'll show up....yet they have all the time in the world to have sex. I can understand going for a quickie, but not spending hours in bed. Like, seriously? Sure, it'll be like anime where the bad guy just stands there and waits for you to be ready to fight.

Maeve, a well-educated woman with multiple degrees, works in antiquities for a difficult man. She finds herself drawn to and engaging with a statue that she is able to release from his bindings. The warriors are a group that have been held captive by her boss, an evil sorcerer. The story is interesting especially because all of the females in the book are intelligent and capable. They are valued for their skills and intellect. I enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

An evil curse locked four warriors in stone. Statues for centuries, only a pure woman who could see beyond the physical could free them. One such woman was Maeve Collins. She approached Dragan's statue with compassion and spoke to it as if it were a real person. How was she to know that he was real, wings and all? Once freed, Dragan needs to connect with his brotherhood - the great sorcerer, Nicodemus, and the others who were now free from their stone prisons. However, the wicked sorcerer who cursed them in the first place won't make their reunion so easy. He's desperate to take over the world, by any means necessary, and Nico and his warriors are the only beings standing in his way. Luckily, Dragan and his friends never shy away from a fight. With a hot and sexy romance developing and an encroaching battle on the horizon, Dragan is a read not to be missed!

Some of the things I liked were:
⚔️ Dragan of course. Who can resist an incredibly chiseled wall of muscle with a glorious face and a personality to match? He was strong and kind and passionate and fearsome and courageous and... I could definitely go on, but you should really read the book to find out why he was so easy to love.
⚔️ the magical elements. I love the idea of curses and legends and the like. I'm eager to read Nico's story because I'm sure even more magic will be found in it.
⚔️ Dragan's back story. My heart broke for the hero that no one cared for. He risked his life, day after day, to keep people safe because 'that was his job', but there was no appreciation. No kindness. No sincerity. Then he finds fellow warriors, creates a family, only to be cursed for millenia and end up in another world. His luck sucked! I believe the author did an amazing job of developing this character. He had a vulnerability to him that I really appreciated, despite his overwhelming strength, making him a hero in every sense of the word.

If you are a lover of the unrealistic and yet fantastic, you won't want to pass on this story. It's got magic out the ying yang, an inevitable love story, interesting characters, and a segue into what comes next. That epilogue really got my attention!!

Maeve had taken a job cataloging artifacts and treasures for a very unpleasant man, Mr. Sotiris. But she loved her job and there was a beautiful statue that she talked to all the time, the statue that Dragan had been cursed to live inside for all of eternity until someone could break the curse and release him. Mr. Sotiris was more than he seemed to be and very dangerous but she just thought he was strange for raging at the statue all the time.

Maeve would sit and talk to the statue of Dragon all the time and Dragon loved the company even though she had no idea he was actually there. When the stone statue cracked and broke and Maeve broke the curse, Dragon was set free. At first Maeve didn't believe he was actually inside the statue but she came to quickly believe Dragan was telling the truth. Knowing the Mr. Sotiris would probably know somehow that the statue had broken, Maeve and Dragon took a few artifacts and left before he could come home. She was really good with computers and had excellent ways to block anyone from tracking her phone or laptop so they were safe on the road for a while.

The first thing Dragan wanted to do was find Nicodemus or see if he was still alive. Maeve found him online and they set out to go to where he lived, which would take a couple of days by car. On their way to meet up with his old sorcerer friend they find themselves in danger from vampires but Dragan is more than enough of a warrior to take them on and defeat them. But it's obvious that if her old boss finds out where they are, they'll be in real hot water. The danger is real and one mess up will have that danger at their door.

Maeve and Dragan get a lot closer and their romance was nice, but it didn't move me. I wanted sparks, fireworks or just something more but I just didn't feel it with them. Dragan is a nice guy and Maeve is a smart, nice woman but they didn't seem like they fit together to me.

This is the 4th books in this series but it's the first book that I've read. I didn't feel lost or feel like I was missing anything and I read this just fine but I might go back and read the other books just to catch up. Dragon's friends are awesome, I really liked them and their mates. The secondary characters are great so I'm looking forward to getting to know them a little better. Sotiris is an evil man hell bent on causing them to suffer but I have a feeling that he's not gonna get his wish as the series goes on.

I liked this book but didn't love it, but I think I will read the other books in this series.

Disclosure: I was given an ARC or this book via NetGalley but all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Dragan is the fourth book in the Stone Warriors series. I've loved every book in this series and this one didn't disappoint. I particularly enjoy how the author crafts the heroines' personalities. They are not shrinking violets rather equal partners to the soldiers they rescue. The muscles they may lack are replaced with intellect and courage. The story is action-packed and the chemistry is hot! This book can easily be read alone but I recommend the entire series. I can't wait for the next one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book had me hooked from the start. With a fast paced plot and characters you can't help but route for, plus the slow burn between Dragan and Maeve, what wasn't to like?

The problem came for me about half way through the book, after they've made it to their friends. Most of it was probably because this is the first book I have read in this series, and in this world.... but the other part of my lack of enthusiasm was the fact that it all seemed so easy. Especially their relationship.

Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment, but I like my characters to work for their relationship and feelings towards each other a little more. All in all though, they're adorable together.

I give this a 3.5 star, rounding down to 3, because while I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it at first, it didn't make me long to drop everything and read either. I definitely want to try reading them from the beginning and maybe putting everything into perspective will help my rating, but for now...

The 4th book in the series. Missed the first one, really liked the 3rd one and enjoyed this one too. Dragan is the last of the 4 warriors trapped in stone. When Maeve releases him, they flee to Florida to find Nico and the others. I enjoyed this one overall, but felt the climatic battle was a little confusing. Not sure about the magic rock, and what was left at the stadium. Maybe just me. Would highly recommend this book and author. Great series.

Maeve regards herself as a geek. She is a computer genius who likes her own company and has been working in Sorcerer Sotiris’s house where she spends her days talking to a stone statue of a Warrior like no other. Dragan has been cursed into stone for thousands of years till Maeve breaks the curse. Maeve has always known she is super smart, but not desirable, until Dragan. Reunited with Nico’s other warriors they find Sotiris Is using Vampire power to create an unbeatable force. There is plenty of magic at work in the exciting climax where Dragan must use all his experience in battle to keep Maeve safe.
This can be read as a stand along story but is part of The Stone Warriors series and the other books would be well worth a look.
I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book. Steamy and fast paced. The plot had enough twists to keep my attention. Maeve is a study in contradictions. Curious, compassionate, fiercely loyal and filled with the strength of her convictions. Dragan is a tortured hero with goddess given magic. I need to add the previous books on my to be read list.

Dragan is book 4 in the Stone Warriors series and I loved it from beginning to end. I have enjoyed all the books in this series but I have to say this one was my favorite. Dragan and Mae were fantastic together. Their chemistry was awesome and they made a great team. Mae is the best h of this series. She's smart, loving, strong but innocent which was an endearing combination. The reunion with his fellow warriors and Nico/Nick had me in tears. There's action with the overall arc still in play with the final show down coming soon. Now for that ending OMG!!!! Finally it's Nick's turn and I can't express how excited I am. I have been dying for his story since we found out that Cyn's former lover isn't human. That ending left me with so many questions, who is this mystery woman Nick longs for, why does he say she appears guilty when he finds her and finally why did Lili keep information from him. I really hope the wait isn't long.

So we have now arrived at the last of the warriors to be freed and find love before we get to Nick/Nico's story. Dragan is everything we as readers would expect from a thousand-year-old warrior; fierce, steadfast and gloriously handsome. He is also believable in his role as an ancient being who is transitioning to life in the modern world. His language is realistic, but evolves nicely to the more modern idioms of today as the story progresses. And while Maeve may start out as a fragile soul, she has inner strength that compliments Dragan as they travel across the country, evading capture, and on a journey to find Nico and his lost brothers, then defeat Sotiris. This story started out a little slower than the previous ones, but there was nothing missing in the intrigue, suspense, world building and overall storyline and plot that makes this book just as thrilling as those that came before. On to Nico...

OhEmGeeeeee!

Where has this series been hiding?!?!?! I just finished reading Dragan and I am hooked! I fell in love with sweet, kind hearted Maeve right from the start. She’s a nerdy heroine with a sweet disposition, who’s smart and funny. What’s not to like? And Dragan wormed his way into my heart pretty easily with his protectiveness and old school honor. The more we get of him, the more I want to follow Maeve’s lead and hug him and promise to be BFFs forever!

Lol, in all seriousness, these characters and this story were so, so good. This was an action packed, insta-love paranormal romance that ticked off all my likes and didn’t slow down once. With powerful warriors, sorcerers, magic, ends of the world danger and epic romance, I was rooting for not only the MCs but also their buddies from the word go. I’m definitely going to have to read the rest of the books because the other guys and their bad a$$ ladies definitely piqued my interest. Not having read the other books, I thought Nico and his assistance, Lily would have been a good match, but that ending threw me for a loop. Not sure how I feel about that but fingers crossed Lily gets her own story soon. I really liked her :)

I want to say this can be read as a standalone but with intersecting characters and an ongoing plot, I think reading the others, in order, would help build the story up better. Still, I highly enjoyed this one and this is book #4 in the series. I did’t feel lost or bombarded with details, the story flowed really good and you got just enough info to keep you in the loop. I would definitely recommend if you love paranormal reads, this one was HAWT!
