The last Heist would finally put the past to rest but with so many unanswered questions leaves me wondering what happens next.

It did not caught my interest at all.
The characters were boring and it could have been detailed more, maybe i would`ve felt the exictement and intruige that was supposed to happen.

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

I really love this book. Fast paced, great characters, well written. This book got me from the start and I didn’t want to drop reading. I can’t wait for the next one.
Also, the author is from Saskatchewan. I’m from Alberta, and that makes me love the book even more. I’m adding Samantha Keith to my fave authors
I received an eARC from NetGalley and the publisher for review purposes

This is a second chance romance novel with suspense and boy, did I enjoy this!! This is a steamy romance with enough action, suspense, and steam to keep you on your toes! Second chance romance can be a hit or miss for me but this one was definitely a hit and I'm glad I picked this one up!

Someone was after her! But who! When Serena has to kill or be killed, who can she turn to! Milo swore to never enter the business again! Life is good! But when Serena shows up on his doorstep asking for help, can her refuse the one he let get away?

REVIEW ☆☆☆
The Last Heist, while interesting, just wasn't quite what I had hoped it would be. It's an entertaining story with a crazy heist, but at times, the story seemed ridiculous. I couldn't make myself believe it. I think it's a disconnect on my part because this book just wasn't my thing. It will be perfect in the hands of the right reader.

I am back and forth with this review. First, you have Milo who has given up the life of crime, that is until Serena walks into his bar. You then are taken back through their time together as thieves and when he was working for the other side and while she and her sister were trying to do a robbery he was there. You then have Serena now working as a real a state agent and after an accident, her whole life is turned upside down.
Her sister has been kidnaped and she is now given a job to do if not done her sister will be killed. This is how she goes to the bar where Milo is at. Though neither thought they would have seen the other one again Milo knows something is up as soon as she walks in., she actually thought that they would have a life together, yet here they are years later. First, they must get past the past in order to deal with the future in saving her sister. Once you get into the meat of the story the action begins to pick up and it becomes a faster read than the beginning of the book. Overall a good book.

The description pretty much tells you exactly what happens in this book, so I won't rehash the storyline. Samantha Keith was a new author to me, and I really enjoyed her writing style as well as this story. There was plenty of action and dangerous moments interspersed with extremely sexy hot escapades. The characters were intriguing with complicated backstories. Though this book is a standalone, the next book in the series is going to tie to this and be about a sibling. The brief excerpt sounded exciting.

Net Galley provided an ARC for review.

Former thief turned all-star realtor Serena Metcalf is at the top of her game. She’s about to land her biggest client to date when her life is turned upside-down as her past comes back to haunt her. Serena has no one to turn to except the man that broke her heart, Milo Baxter.

When Serena’s sister is abducted she and Milo are given a very short amount of time to commit the heist of a lifetime. The Last Heist is a swift moving romantic suspense. Milo and Serena have a sexy attraction. Their connection is completely alive and the suspense is great in the beginning. For some reason it wasn’t able to hold my attention throughout the entire book. Perhaps because of their situation and the things they were being asked to do were preposterous. I wanted to like this so bad but it was just a little too obvious who the culprit would turn out to be.

Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. I didn't like the story or the writing and everything felt way too far fetched. And the cover looked likes it will be a super steamy wonderful romance and it is anything but. For the 2 sex scenes it had it was boring and not steamy at all.

I do love the cover a lot and thinks that it is eye catching but unfortunately for me the book inside just didn't work.

Second chance romantic suspense? Sign me up for it. I enjoyed this book more than I expected. It’s my first book by the author and I’m glad that I took a chance on it.
A shared past wasn’t enough to keep them together and ten years later, unexpected situations bring them back together in a fast-paced suspenseful story while trying to save her sister and battling their attraction.
A well written, mysterious and steamy love story.

The Last Heist is the first book in Samantha Keith’s brand-new Pretty Thieves series provides readers with an edge of your seat, action-packed, adrenaline charged adventure! Milo and Serena set the pages on fire and there’s no shortage of intrigue and suspense too. Strong character portrayals and an exciting plot set the tone for what readers can expect from future books in this series. I look forward to the next thrilling tale of the Pretty Thieves.

Fast paced and action packed, The Last Heist follows childhood sweethearts who have lost touch, working against the clock to pull of a high stakes heist where failure means the loss of a loved one...

This was such a well written romance, with a dash of pulse pounding mystery. Smart, sweet and sexy with morally ambiguous characters you can't help but love, I've already picked up the author's next book!

The Last Heist is the first book in the Pretty Thieves Series by an author that is new to me and I'm glad I took a chance on her because I loved this book! It was a refreshing romantic suspense with quite a few twists and turns that kept my interest. Milo and Serena are very likeable characters who have chemistry in spades! I also liked that it was an ensemble cast of characters and not just about Milo and Serena, although their story was quite sexy and mysterious! I always like a heroine who is strong and brave and stands on her own two feet like Serena, but I also liked that she was willing to accept help from Milo. This was a very enjoyable first read for me and I look forward to the next book in this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

I seem to have hit a bit of a slump with books at the moment and am getting a few that just don't really do it for me. This one just missed on quite a few levels and while it wasn't a terrible read, I didn't really care what happened to any of the characters. It didn't help that it was full of cliche and cheesy lines.
The male character has green eyes, I only need to be told this once (if that) but every time the heroine looks at him she has another description for them. I might be being a bit hard, but this one just wasn't for me. A bit of a shame as I usually enjoy second chance romances. Maybe the next in the series will be better.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
