The plot of this book was really interesting but I had problems with the authors writing style, It often took me out of the story and I had problems finishing the book

This was a very well written and engaging historical romance story. The characters where likable and really felt the love story!

A young girl is kidnapped by Indians in late 18th century America. Her captor is a young half-breed who is kind and compassionate to her. She falls in love with him and the two build a life together in a difficult time.

Almost unreadable. Full of grammatical and spelling errors and pretty clearly totally unresearched. This ridiculous "noble savage" stereotype and insane cultural appropriation would be laughable if it wasn't so insulting.

The journal entry approach used in this book just didn’t work for me. It would have been alright if the speaker was given an entire chapter before changing to a different person and not the 2 or3 paragraphs the author chose to use. What we see is the exact same thing being said repeatedly by several different speakers...nothing new but the EXACT same thing over and over and over.. This book would have been half as long as it was without all the repeats.

The author really needs to have the book looked at by a content editor. There were a couple of places I chalked it up to voice, but in other places there are words not used correctly. They are close, off a tad. In a couple of places, my historically accurate meter hit a high note when encountering words that were more current than old west, Still I liked the book.

I loved the premise, the way it is laid out makes it an easy read. I enjoyed the characters. The male lead isn't near as interesting as the female, but that was fine. Then we come to the practical matter of the writing. The author really needs to have the book looked at by a content editor. There were a couple of places I chalked it up to voice, but in other places there are words not used correctly. They are close, off a tad. In a couple of places, my historically accurate meter hit a high note when encountering words that were more current than old west, Still I liked the book. There is a lot of research in it and the whole thing flows nicely. A solid book that could be made better.
