A challenging thriller that will leave you looking back for clues when the arsonist is revealed. A fire leads the police to interview three suspects with so much to lose they easily become "perfect liars". Heidi Perks builds this story layer by layer, leaving just a few gaps for the truth to come out. Full of suspense and a quickly moving story told by the three women and the police investigator, whose truth is the real one????

This was an interesting story that never really took things to the next level. So, while I enjoyed it, I never fully got invested, either. The pacing of the novel was quite slow but the character development was fairly solid.

I did not expect the ending to this book at all. So that was a nice surprise.

The first half of the book seemed really repetitive but that's really my only complaint.

There was cattiness but they were called out on it. Also, I think alot of women could probably relate to this story. Ones who have had kids and gone back to work to find that someone else has taken over their job while they were away.

It was interesting and different. So I would definitely say read it if it's on your radar.

Heidi Perks' Three Perfect Liars is a psychological thriller about an office fire that ends in murder and the three women who are questioned about it. The book has twists and turns and uses multiple points of view to tell the story, which I enjoyed. The book reminded me of Liane Moriarty's Big Little Lies. The story keeps your attention and is cleverly written. Thank you to Gallery Books and NetGalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this book was just ok. I had a hard time sympathizing with the main character and she seemed a little unrealistic to me.

Three Perfect Liars is a psychological domestic fiction novel that explores how three unseemingly related women have closer ties than they think when a popular, well-known office complex housing a prestigious advertising agency is burned to the ground. The perspective and timeline alternates from before the fire, during and after, each chapter giving clues to the perpetrator and motivation. Laura, back to work after maternity leave, is stunned to find out interim Director Mia is still in her role-without any intentions to leave. Jane, the wife of the owner of the ad agency, feels drawn to Mia but is unsure why. Mia continues to make Laura feel off-balanced, who is already struggling with returning to work and leaving her son with her husband. The tension comes to a head at an annual summer party and soon after the community is devastated by the fire. Shocking secrets emerge during this sweeping story by Heidi Perks.

I enjoyed Three Perfect Liars as I am a fan of British fiction and psychological mysteries; the writing and characters are well-developed and the story moves at a decent pace.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

I love my Brit Chick Lit! Heidi Parks writes another amazing story that I just couldn't put down. I loved the characters, I hated them - but I couldn't wait to get the full story!

I found this book hard to put down. Short chapters that are easy to read so many twists and turns had me guessing the whole time

This story is a standard domestic slash workspace suspense. While it entertained me, I feel a bit lukewarm about the characters and the premise as a whole.

This book is told from 3 different perspectives. I dd not care for the way it alternated between them, but that's a personal preference. The book is well written, the story keeps the reader engaged, and it's different from other suspense novels currently available. Sometimes I think what makes a book good or bad is what is released around it. I was caught up in several other novels while I read this and found myself sometimes actively avoiding it.

A total page-turner! Three professional, successful women cross one another’s paths. Families have been shattered, marriages have been cracking apart. Only one of them is intent upon avenging a tragedy. What results is a second tragedy - the destruction of a building, a business, and a human life by fire. Who set the blaze? A great “who-dun-it” with the added bonus of great, well-developed characters and story lines. Enjoy!

Thank you to the author Heidi Parks, the publisher Gallery Books, and to NetGalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for my candid review.

What is not to like about this book? Early in the book, you know that a building that houses a prestigious advertising firms burns down, someone is dead, and three women have had reasons to burn it down.

It is an interesting psychological story of 3 women whose lives intertwine.....each one a strong and talented women, and each who has given something up in order to live a full life. But who did it????? And why?????

That is the question to be answered. It was and engaging book that pulled you-----I just didn't like any of the women. They were all rather neurotic and somewhat one-dimensional. And I just didn't like them.

Other than that----it was a good book.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a quick read. The characters were well developed and while you could see a surface connection between some of them, it was obvious that there was a deeper connection that we would find out later. The plot moved along pretty well. There were a couple of twists I didn’t see coming which is always good. I’d say it’s a 3.5

The three women in the book are Laura, Mia and Janie. Laura has just returned to work at a PR firm after her maternity leave. Mia is the woman Laura hired to cover her job during the leave. Janie is the wife of the owner, Harry Wood.
Laura is struggling with the return to work. She is driven in her job and regularly put in many hours of overtime. But that was before she became a mother. She is desperately trying to find the balance between home and work.
Mia told Laura she was only looking for temporary work. Mia claimed she planned to move away as soon as Laura returned. Laura was very shocked to find that Mia had been offered a permanent position and given Laura’s top account.
Janie was at one time an attorney. She gave up her career to move out of the city to support Harry’s company and give her daughters a better life. But Janie is hiding secrets. She had her own compelling reason to leave the city behind.
The story starts with a woman standing across the river watching the Morris and Wood building burn to the ground. The woman is shocked when a body is carried out of the building. But which of the three liars is watching the building burn…or are all of them watching??
The story alternates between real happenings in the months leading up to the fire and police interviews. All three women have reason to be angry with Harry. Which one is responsible?
This is a well told story and keeps the reader interested. The ending held a surprising twist. It kept my attention.

Three women have to face the aftermath of a horrifying fire and one of them may be guilty. There is so much dialogue and description of absolutely nothing. The characters talk about the hardships of motherhood, maternity leave, having a career and work life balance. It started off interesting but I think after the first chapter I got bored because of this. The work place drama got petty, immature, and old very quickly. I didn’t care for any of the characters or couldn't even remotely relate to them. One character in particular, Laura, annoyed me so much I just wanted to slap her. I wouldn't recommend this book.

Thank you to Netgalley for the copy.

*** 4-4.5 Stars ***

Three women are being questioned after an office building is set on fire that resulted in a casualty. Each one of them is linked together and have separate reasons for wishing revenge on the company's CEO. Laura was the office star, who just returned to work after maternity leave and finds that her temporary replacement, Mia, is now permanent and seems to have taken her job. But what is Mia hiding? Why is she so adamant to stay working for the company? Then Janie, wife to CEO, Harry who is now a stay at home mom, how misses working and seems to resent her husband. They all have secrets and this story was a perfect blend of their alternating point of views.
I really enjoyed this, it was well written and fast paced. I was very invested in the story line and the characters. Would highly recommend!

Special Thanks to NetGalley and Century for allowing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A solid 3.5 star domestic suspense novel. The story is told alternating between the present (where people are being interrogated over the arson of an office building that caused someone’s death) and the events from 8 weeks prior to the incident. We primarily follow three women: LAURA who is returning to her job after a 6 month maternity leave only to find that her replacement temp MIA has been made permanent; and JANIE, the wife of the owner of Laura and Mia’s company. Each one seems to be hiding something, but Mia seems to have a very strong hidden motive for wanting to destroy the company - though the full reveal does not come until the very last portion of the book.

Overall this was a solid workplace drama domestic suspense. It is primarily focused on the office dynamics between female colleagues and their male counterparts - though at times that is a bit heavy handed. While I wouldn’t say this was an amazing thriller, I thought it was a very fast, escapist, page-turner. I don’t think I loved it enough to recommend it but there was nothing at fault.
