I was immediately attracted by the pretty cover of this book where we see a couple hugging.

We find Andrew who left Louise to start a new family four years ago. Louise had no choice but to let him. Except that she still loves Andrew and she does not intend to let his new wife live the life she was supposed to live with him. Louise is going to do some research on the famous Caz and discover a lot of things about Andrew at the same time. And one night during a family celebration Andrew is murdered and Caz and Louise find themselves in front of his body.

A book read in one afternoon so much I was hooked to the story so gripping, captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists with endearing characters.

My goodness, this a really twisty one!It starts off with a really explosive prologue, it really grabs your attention right from the start. Then it moves back in time to the events leading up to the murder.

It’s told from both Louise and Caz’s points of view, and occasionally Min, Louise’s sister-in-law. I really had no idea who the killer might be.

I liked Louise right from the start, and got to like Caz too as time went on, but each time we get some new information on them, the doubts grow.

There are snippets of the police interviews interspersed here and there, and I found these fascinating.

This book is totally addictive and kept me reading late into the night. It’s really hard to put down.When the ending comes, it’s not one you’ll see coming.

Dark and suspenseful, this is a superb psychological thriller. A total must-read

One in Three by Tess Stimson is an excellent psychological thriller novel. Two women are fighting tooth-over-nail over the same man until they realize that he is not a good person to be with, and things take an unexpected turn. At a family event, he is found dead, and both the women are suspected of being the murderer. Basically, a cat-and-mouse race turned into a whodunnit!

The twists and turns in the story kept me hooked throughout. That last twist was like icing on the cake, thereby giving the whole affair a satisfactory end. A definite page turner.

Louise is divorced from her husband, Andrew. He has gone on with his life and eventually married "the other woman", Caz.

They are still in competition with each other .. neither of them giving up the man they both love. Louise is looking onto Caz' past .. she just 'knows' there's something there. Up until now, the two women have maintained a civil relationship, but that is find changing.

They have both discovered more about the man they both married.

Things come to a head when Andrew is found dead at a family party. Both women are standing over his body.

It’s always the wife. But which one?

Well-written, it's suspenseful and full of twists and turns. There may some triggers for some .. the author has addressed the subjects of child abuse and infidelity with a light hand. The characters are solidly drawn into the midst of this most dysfunctional family. The voices of the characters are revealed chapter by chapter. The ending was unexpected.

This was my first book by Tess Stimson and what a really great read it was!

Stimson is a terrific storyteller, providing her reader with a story full of suspense and a rollercoaster of twists and turns. She delicately broaches some difficult subject matters, with sensitivity, with a murder thrown into the mix.

I will be looking to read books by her again, in the future.

I’d highly recommend this book.

Okay. I didn't think the book would be this good. I read it in one sitting because it got me hooked from the word go. A great suspense thriller.

This is a very well written thriller, full of lots of twists and turns (and not clichéd ones at that).
Just when you think that you know what's going on, or even have a slight idea, it goes in a completely different direction to what you might have imagined.
I really enjoyed the use of unreliable narrators throughout this. And the characters were so expertly crafted that you actually cared what happened to them, something that can't be said for all books/stories like this.
Because you're so invested in the characters, it makes it hard to put this book down.
Which is what made this a real page turner for me and such an enjoyable read.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for more books by this author and look forward to seeing what she does next.

One In Three

I literally could not put this book down.  I was even thinking about it when I wasn't reading it.  Through all the twists and turns

..I literally had no idea who was the guilty party.

Both Louise  and Caz were very well drawn characters.  Louise spent her whole life dealing with a mental illness episode that happened when she was 19 which is so sad and though I was Team Louise most of the time...some of the things she did.. were pretty jaw dropping and she really didn't help herself.

Caz is the kind of woman that women hate...and with good reason.   She is a master manipulator ...and it is very hard to feel sympathy for her....and yet thanks to the authors brilliant writing...at times, you somehow do.

They were both supremely unreliable narrators, which was fascinating and there were so many times I was thinking....wait could Caz be right?  Just because she is a bad person doesn't make her wrong.

This is a fantastic thriller...full of twists and turns and it is character driven and such a great look at the extremes of human emotion.   The characters really come alive and the fact this thriller was based around these characters and their emotions...is a testament to how talented Tess Stimson is.

This book draws you in from the opening chapter. The body of AndreW Page is discovered with his wife Caz, and his ex wife Louise, both stood over him covered in blood. The question is which of them murdered him? Andrew divorced Louise four years previously and they have two children, Bella and Tolly. He is now married to Caz and they have a son Kit. Andrew has remained friendly with Louise’s parents and so they invite him, Caz and Kit to stay in Devon along with the rest of the family to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. This is where the murder occurrs. Louise and Caz have a tricky relationship. Louise has never recovered from Andrew leaving her and still has feelings for him. Caz is aware of this and the fact that Andrew still has feelings for Louise. So Caz and Louise are always trying to undermine each other but as secrets are revealed they realise that the biggest one is regarding Andrew. The story is told mainly from Louise’s and Caz’s point of view and also with chapters describing police interviews. The book takes us back to events from seven years previously to the present time. It is full of complex relationships, suspense and twists and turns from beginning to the very end. A great read.

The book is fast paced, has a nice element of mysterie that keeps you guessing through a big part of the book.
I enjoyed the writing style as well. It made it easy to read the story and also get really involved in the characters. You feel for them, you live through them. And I think the writer really did a great job with that.
Some points could have had a little more time spend on. Given some more details, just a little more elaborate (hard to explain without giving spoilers).
But in all, this was a great read.

Marriage is TOUGH - it's even tougher to remain "friends" after a divorce. One in Three is a great novel that provides an inside look at what could - and most often - does happen when you continue the already ended relationship with your ex-spouse. The fighting, envy and the bitterness - NOT the murder - but hey,,,passionate women can do many dangerous things so who knows, right? It was a well-written book giving you insight into each character by using each one as a magnifying lens for the others in the book. I really enjoyed reading this book! Now please understand - this did NOT happen with my divorce...once he was gone, I forgot his name! 😆 I congratulate those who can remain friends with their exes but an ex is an ex...it's supposed to mean someone in your past...food for thought! Great read that I recommended for my book club.
