Healing the Racher by Mary Sue Jackson is an easy book to read which I managed to finish in one sitting. It is a story of 2 broken soul coming together and how love will prevail and heal all wounds.

Although this is my first time reading a book by Ms Jackson, I find myself enjoying every moment of it. The book was well written, I like how the characters are quite fleshed out. I enjoyed Rancher Carter's surly character, it was entertaining to read. It was heartwarming to see how he warms up to Tavish (our heroine's son) and how protective he became of Willow. The background story for Willow is heartbroken to read, her young son is rendered mute due to the abuse that he saw. Naturally having been abused by her ex-husband, Willow is now skittish and she doesn't trust easily. Will Carter be able to gain her trust? Does the ex-husband manage to find Willow and her son? You just have to pick up the book and read!

I was gifted a copy by NetGalley, however the views above are all of my own.

HEALING THE RANCHER is a sweet romance about finding love after heartbreak. I loved these main characters and their back stories. The H finds himself injured and struggling with accepting help with that injury. Our h leaves an abusive marriage and tries to build a new life for herself and her son.

I loved the sparks and the banter between these two and the supporting cast of characters were also lovable and enhanced the story.

I took slight issue with a very intense scene towards the end if the boon in which the H and h were joking and laughing within mere minutes of the emotional turmoil that had just taken place. It seemed very unrealistic and odd given the circumstances. There needed to be an addition scene or at least a short passage of time between such a large conflict and such playful banter.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
