Thoroughly enjoyed this book. A fast-paced, steamy, emotional roller coaster that kept me enthralled from page one. I will definitely be looking forward to the next story in this series.

This book sounded like my ideal read, a bad boy romance/second chance, but I couldn't connect with the characters. Savage was too over the top Alpha for me, and Candace was an idiot. After 10 years you can't expect someone to instantly forgive you and if someone broke your heart and left you, then you should make them work for it. The relationship was too instant and unrealistic. I struggled to finish it and just skimmed to the end. I didn't hate it, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Oh my days, this book was an absolute page turner. The back story slowly unravels itself but at times I was urging the author to get on with it as I was on tender hooks!
Although Candace and Rick haven’t been together for 8 years, the love and need to protect each other is still there and stronger than ever.
It ends on a cliffhanger so I’m going to have to find the rest of the series to see what happens!

A very enjoyable, fast paced read, from a great author. Full of excitement, both physically, mentally and emotionally, A story about long lost and much missed love, commitment and yearning.

Subterfuge, political shenanigans and danger, make this romantic story a real treat to read, unfortunately it ends in a cliff hanger, but you know the deep love and connection of these two will win through for a lifetime of happiness.

This book was a fast paced page-turner, perfect for a few hours of escape. There is a cliffhanger, but that's not something I usually mind.

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romance story. The only reason Candace is engaged to a dangerous man, Gabriel, is to protect her father. When Rick Savage comes into her life, Candace's orderly life turns upside down with her hidden passionate feelings for Rick, the love of her life and the man who broke her heart. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of twists and turns, riveting the reader from the beginning of the story until the end of the story, and full of anticipation for the next book in the series.

Savage Hunger is the first book of the Savage Trilogy and my second book by this author. I have to say I am SO behind on reading this author here, and boy does she have a backlist!! Just looking at all the books she has written makes me feel overwhelmed because I definitely want to read more of her books. Especially after falling in love with the Savage Trilogy here.

Savage Hunger is a great beginning to get you hooked on Savage and Candace’s love. Candace and Savage fell in love fiercely and for a year their life was full of bright hope until Savage was called away in the military and Candace’s father go him working into a black ops division that went bad and Savage was caught up into a situation that he couldn’t get out of and before he knew it…he became a man he barely recognized….a killer with blood on his hands and didn’t feel worthy of Candace and so he let her go and for eight years they haven’t seen each other. But when he is called in for one last favor, he knows he has to do it but he knows it has everything to do with Candace. And he won’t be able to let her go a second time. Candace, however, is in a situation she will need his help with. She never got over losing Savage, but when her fiancee she learns is planning to kill her father, she knows that she must do what she can to save her father’s life. Then Savage comes back into her life and soon Savage and Candace will need to fight not only for their love and the loss they both have suffered….but their very lives.

WHEW…..oh boy, this book was simply fantastic in so many ways. First off I will say that the writing is pretty quick and engaging and I had no problem quickly falling for these two. We do get one flashback….I wouldn’t have minded a bit more in seeing more of the depths of their relationship that “first year” they were together but what we saw was so wonderful including a great interaction with Candace’s father who is a United States Military General.

When these two come and find each other again….its explosive in so many forms. Yeah Candace is still pissed at Savage and I don’t blame her at all because Savage was an idiot in letting her go. But he is a fighter and he fights like hell to get the woman he loves back. And he brings along some of his boys as backup and we get to see some of their background and I gotta have their stories. I am addicted to this world of intensity, military hottness and suspense that curls your toes.

Overall I found Savage Hunger to be a great beginning to a great trilogy that got me eager and excited to explore more of this world Lisa Renee Jones has created.

Rick is from military background and clearly has a dark past. Like the title suggests, he's a rough man with a sad past. Heroine is strong but has a lot of issues to work through. There's a BIG cliffhanger at the end but it's a terrific book and worth the wait for the next novel!

Savage book.... mercenaries through military, and a love that won’t die. The author picks her men bad ass and gives them equally strong females to battle for. This is a three part series and it is all finished now so grab for it.

What did I like? There is an element of barely suppressed feeling surrounding Rick Savage as he is confronted by the only woman he has ever loved. It’s a tenable situation because although he has an idea of where the threat is coming from, so much is still unknown. Candace is a woman who has been hurt by an love she held on for years. The situation takes a back seat whenever they get too close they both act like they’re going to erupt in flames.... scorching panty dropping flames.

Would I buy or recommend? Major cliffhanger but since all three parts are out...nothing to lose. I enjoyed the first part, and it would be nice to get the second or third part through Netgalley but I haven’t seen them. So if your already familiar with this author then you know the story will only get better, she is very talented writer.

I have got to say I absolutely loved this book! I was drawn into the story right away! The chemistry between Candice and Rick is undeniable! I was rooting for them to be together from the very first chapter. I am now dying to read the next book in the series! This book was the first book I had ever read by Lisa Renee Jones. Let me say after reading this book she is now on my favorite authors list.

Ok so before you start this book you need to know it’s a MAJOR cliffhanger!

That being said any character who has savage as his name is just begging to be read and let me tell you, good ole Rick Savage lives up to his name.

Rick savage is a sexy military doctor who is trying to escape the cruelty of his father. A chance encounters leads him to Candace and sparks fly. When Rick is deployed the mission goes haywire and he returns as a changed man with a secret.

He flees San Antonio but when he returns Candace is now hiding something much more devious than his secret. Rick wants Candace but will his need to protect her trump his need to protect her?

I am not a fan of cliff hanger series. I didn't realize that when I started.
Rick and Candace were in love and living together when he was deployed. He sent her a dear john letter. Candace is crushed but moves on with her live. 8 years later he is back. The story is good but I didn't like how every time Candace disagrees with Rick he kisses her and she instantly gives in. To unbelievable.

OMG! I so want a man like Rick Savage! Talk about a cliffhanger! The twists this book brings will having you guessing what will happen next. I didn't want to put it down... Rick beats himself up too much for the past while,Candence has her own struggles she is dealing with... I love that she is strong willed. And now Rick will actually fight to stay together and fight her battles and protect her even with his own life... A story I need to know what happens next!
