Well we have hit the middle of the series and in true Pepper Winters fashion she has made me fall for Sully and Eleanor even with all of the pitfalls that my heart must endure.

What a roller coaster of emotions in this book. Lust, temptation, anger, fear, love, sadness and vengeance.....a little bit of a mixed bag to keep you rooted to your seat while you take the journey with Sully and Eleanor.

Truths and past truths alike are revealed and give way to some more layers that make up Sullivan Sinclair taking us to some darker places and times than the shores of Goddess Isles.

Will the past find a way to take what has been found? Can Eleanor and Sully survive the only family he has left? Get ready for Fourth a Lie because I have a feeling we are going to find out.

Once I got the arc, I said goodbye to the world and didn’t stop until I finished this book. I devoured this. So far, my favorite book of the series.

This book is the turning point, I guess. You have them stopping for a bit, connecting and finally be who they are: Eleanor and Sully. Not Jinx and her buyer. I loved their moments, I loved Sully intensity, I loved Eleanor persistence. I wanted to slap Sully and then I wanted to shake Eleanor. And then I wanted to hug them. I felt lots of conflicted emotions, I was frustrated so many times because Sully is still so Sully and Eleanor is so Eleanor, both so different but then, this wasn’t ever supposed to be easy.

I wasn’t ready for the twists in this book. And I wasn’t ready for how possessive Sully is, when he likes and loves, he loves hard. I wasn’t ready for the way this book ended. A major cliffhanger this one so be warned.

Love this series and this author so much. Pepper never disappoints and this story was wonderful. Dark and angsty.

The third book in the Goddess Isles series and I’m as captivated as the very first. Third A Kiss is the sexiest book by Pepper yet. It is dripping with sensuality and every emotion is as guttural as it is palpable.

Having been given a taste of his own medicine, Sully, is finally coming undone. Has Eleanor poked the beast too far? Has she got what it takes to tame Sully?

The first chapter was breathtaking and enthralling and, for me, it carried throughout the book.

I was titillated by the chance to see Sully at his most feral and sexual. And, let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. The transformation of this man into beast was undeniably sexy.

The moment he finally sheds his seriousness and begins to laugh is remarkable. As this scene was unfolding, I felt myself waiting on tenterhooks for his smile to be unveiled. It was so cute and the moment became the most meaningful in the book, for me.

With that being said however, I did find there was a lag in the progression of the story and at times the pace. Which I must say I was not expecting.

Readers of dark, sensual and gripping romances will have a feast.

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Third a Kiss is the third book in the Goddess Isles series by Pepper Winters. This can NOT be read as standalone. It must be read in order. If you are a dark romance fan, you will want and need to read this series! I don’t want to spoil anything so this will be fast.

Eleanor did the only thing she thought she could do and now she was running. Running from the man who bought her and used her for his own gain. Running from the man she started falling for. A man who she shouldn’t want. A man who didn’t care about what happened to the goddesses on his island. Except, she was different. He knew it from the moment he saw her at the helipad. He knew it was a mistake to have her there. And now, he was chasing her. What will happen if he catches her?

Sully was not a man who knew love. He was not a man who wanted love. He cared about one thing. Animals. They deserved to be treated with respect. They were the innocents of the world. Not men. Not women. Eleanor says she cares for him but how can he trust anything she says after what she has done? And why would she trust him?

These two. Two complicated souls. Two people from different worlds. Two people who find it hard to trust.

Overall... It’s an addicting, steamy, and unpredictable story! One that will make you angry. Get hot and bothered. Cry. And get even more angry. I can’t wait for the next book!

Quotes:

“Fuck, I’m going to enjoy this.”

“I want you to admit that I’m something to you. Anything. Admit that you’re as lost as I am.”

“The only danger you’re in, Eleanor, is from me. I can promise they won’t bite and maul you, but I can’t say the same for me.”

Sully and Eleanor/Jinx have crossed a line there is not return from, she now has to face what she had done to him, he had warned her to run, she didn't, now the goddess would understand what she had unleashed. I am so hooked on this I can't wait for more of this twisted love affair.i voluntarily reviewed this book.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow! This series, these books, they leave me completely and utterly dumbfounded. It just keeps getting better, the other two books captured me, this one totally annihilated me. What Pepper has done with this series is absolutely amazing. Pepper has bought me and she has total control. I won't be able to find my freedom until I get the rest of this series. If you have not started this series yet, you need to ask yourself why not and go and start it right this second. Another masterpiece by Pepper! I will be counting the days until Forth A Lie is here!

Gob-smacked. Speech- and breathless. In all honesty, I really don’t know what to say anymore. Each review I’m struggling for words, because none seem adequate to describe the masterpieces this crazy-talented author dishes out every time. Pepper Winters’ The Goddess Isles series just keeps getting better and better, definitely a top favorite of 2020 already – and we’re (thankfully) not even done here yet …

My mind is a jumbled mess, full of chaotic thoughts of this brilliant continuation of Eleanor and Sully’s story, and yet I feel tongue-tied, because everything I want to say could basically be deemed a spoiler – and trust me, you do not want that. But, seriously … WTH???

This book destroyed me, wrecked me, shattered me to pieces, and yet I was turning pages like an addict, knowing it’s toxic but not being able to stop. When one situation was finally resolved, the next even worse one presented itself, and I was on the verge of a heart attack every single time … It’s a love / hate relationship, an utter, unhealthy, earthshattering but vital addiction. Darkness, grit and magic galore, plus off-the-charts tension and sensuality and characters who have a penchant to get it on in the most dangerous situations …

That cliffhanger though … I loved it but hated it in equal measure (it’s a theme with this series I guess). Now I’m anxious to find out how it will all be wrapped up in the next – and last book (I’m not ready!!) and hoping that my soul gets through it in one piece …

An intoxicating love story if there ever was one, all delivered in that beautiful poetic writing style of Ms. Winters that’s unparalleled. Sigh.

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!!! Of course there was so much anticipation coming from the cliffy at the end of Twice A Wish (Book #2) between Sully & Eleanor and the result is explosive. What truly sets this book apart is how Pepper creates this picture perfect world where you can smell the flowers and taste the foods, imagine the sweetness of the fruit, the feel of the water, every experience that Sully & Eleanor have is visceral and real. Sully is able to shed a protective layer now that he realizes his connection to Eleanor is so much more. And Eleanor has emerged like a Phoenix. I loved everything about this book, well except the bad parts, and I'm so excited for Book #4 Fourth A Lie to see what happens next for Sully & Eleanor. This should most definitely be your next 1 click!!!

Whew! This book really got my adrenaline pumping! I have to say, I am loving this series. We finally get some answers in this book. And man, I have never been so glad to be right. Third a Kiss starts of with bang (hehe) and is nonstop intensity for the entire book. It’s sexy, and suspenseful, and so angsty. I loved every minute of it! If you haven’t started the series, go back and start with Once a Myth. You will definitely not want to miss out on this series!

The final part of this epic tumultuous journey has sadly come to an end. But what an ending!! The final few sentences were literally the pièce de résistance and literally melted by heart and wishing for a do-over.

The title is aptly named; this book was full of fury and the power in Peppers words once again brought the story and these characters to life. The power struggle between Drake and Sully was dynamic, a real battle of the titans ensuring there was only one victor. I have to say I actually started to feel sorry for Drake. I could actually smell the carnage these two created during their battles; the descriptions of scenes, places, feelings... it was all tangible.

This lady has a vast imagination and this series has been phenomenal; I also liked the reference to the current global situation we currently find ourselves in. Not sure if this series originally had that in mind or whether an after thought but irrespective it fitted the ending perfectly. Well planned and well penned. I can't get enough of this authors writing!

To say I powered through this installment of Goddess Isles at breakneck speed is an understatement. I cannot get enough of Sully and Eleanor, the eagerness to see what would happen next with these two is indescribable. It has been some time since I have been this consumed with a series, and to be truthful that series was Pepper’s Monsters series.

Third a Kiss has kicked it up a notch. The passion in this book is palpable, the agony tangible and the intensity substantial as it pours off the pages. It’s wildly erotic and sexually tantalizing. The chemistry between Sully and Eleanor is measureless. With their truths bared, their bond seals tighter. But there is a storm about to crest and there is no telling if Sully and Eleanor can weather the monsoon headed their way.

Winters has once again crafted a sweeping dark romance that makes readers feel deeply and believe in the power of attraction. Third a Kiss is pitch perfect and wonderfully evocative with a plot that will keep you guessing until the very end.

I thought I was ready for this book, but don't think I was as ready as I thought. It begins right where Twice A Wish left off. The first chapters had a desperate feeling of all consuming passion, an unrestrained desire, and an unsatisfying craving. I wasn't sure if Eleanor should run away away from Sully or towards him at times. As the story continues, the passion is there but slowly turns into more. I'm going to say that Sully is becoming a favorite anti-hero.

Eleanor's bravery shines, and she breaks Sully's walls. I was so happy for this moment. But then I remembered that there were two more books to the series. I knew it was the calm before the storm and something bad was coming. Of course, there were dangers in more ways than one. It seemed that Sully and Eleanor could handle any obstacle thrown at them. Then boom everything went spiraling down to a chaotic mess. I'm both excited and nervous about the following book. I'm a bit afraid of what's coming up.

There's one word that will describe this third book in Pepper Winters' Goddess Isles Series. That word is INTENSE! From the first chapter to the last I was on the edge of my seat reading. Most times I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. The intensity sprang from the pages, grabbed me by the throat and dragged me through the entire book. The ending left me speechless. The need I have for Book 4 is terrifyingly overwhelming. I LIVE for books like this!! Do NOT miss it!!

Hello there and welcome to the Goddess Isles. We’ve been pretty busy over here, slaying the readers and all, but come, take a look. Don’t be shy! You’re going to like it, I promise. After book two left me with mixed feelings about this strange couple, book three twisted and turned everything around. It was like Goddess Queen Winters listened to my prayers and delivered us with the GOODS. There was back and forth in this page-turner. I devoured this read THE MOMENT IT HIT MY KINDLE. Steam was ever-present. The cunning twists were everything I needed. Eloquent conversations by seemingly educated individuals graced the pages. Cute animals stole the show and made me want more. Ellie, one of my favorite Winters heroines, has a spot at ‘girl u cool’ table. She handed out slaps after slaps (not physical ones, unfortunately, LOL – I’m in no way promoting violence in real life. Just in this book.). She snapped multiple times. She showed her values and beliefs and I melted away. BABY GIRL, STAY STRONG, WE GOT YOU!

Sully (whose name I’ve grown to love) has a special place in my dark room. He served all the angst we didn’t know we needed. I won’t say much about his shenanigans in Third A Kiss, but I’ll reveal that I understood him more at the end of this. There was a tiny part from approx. 60% to 75% where I wanted to slap the hell out of him, more than usual, but other than that, he was good in his bad ways.

As always with our dark romance community, I plead not to let the social justice warriors hear of this, BUT let the Anonymous For The Voiceless community get a glimpse. I’m sure they’ll love the heck out of Goddess Isles. Lord knows, these guys need something to cheer them up! I’m forever in awe for Pepper Winters and what she’s done with Sully and the entire ideology he has. I never expected this sort of thing to be so elaborately treated in a romance novel. I love every single second of it and I’ll miss it when it’s over.

Pepper Winters has created a universe in these three published books that is so wholesome, heartbreaking, fascinating and, well, steamy, too, if you roll that way. The sneaky author has tricks up her sleeve and I feel them coming! She's not done yet, y'all. Every book unveils another layer of the characters and of the universe in itself. You think you know these characters? THINK AGAIN. I’m anticipating book four! I can’t wait for this continuation. By far, the best series in total so far of 2020 and I’m sure the final two books will cement that sentiment!

I recommend this to all fellow animal lovers/vegetarians/vegans (WE’RE GETTING A SEAT AT THE TABLE, Y’ALL! High school bully, who?), complex heroines with big hearts admirers and lovers of tortured trust-issues leading men with big… islands amongst other things.

Original comment: Omg. Omg. Omg. Review coming soon. Holy hell. Book one and three are my favs so far.
