If you have ever thought of going zero waste or simply being more ecological this is a perfect book for you. It is an eco bible full of recipes and instructions on how to organise your household or what to buy all in order to reduce waste and also to save money. In my opinion it's the best book so far on this topic because it gives you very practical solutions, recipes and step by step instructions. All of this by using simple and easily attainable goods. I highly recommend 'Simply Living Well' - the book is like no other!

This is such a good book, I want to have an actual hardcover or softcover copy to refer to constantly. It is full of recipes for making foods that I would typically buy, as well as cleaners and other things that not only are good for environment but our bank accounts as well.

Simply Living Well is a resource guide to a low/no-waste lifestyle by Julia Watkins. Released 7th April 2020 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, it's 288 pages and available in hardcover and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately.

This is a very logically arranged and accessible book full of short tutorials and tips gathered by category: low-waste kitchen, natural cleaning, natural wellness, natural bath and body, and kitchen gardening. The author has also included a useful resources and links list for further reading. Each of the larger categories is split into dozens of mini-tutorials and ideas. The photography throughout is clear and clean and harmoniously pleasant.

This book would make a superlative gift for an ecology minded friend/neighbor or a solid addition to the home reference library. It's full of sensible ideas for reducing the family's carbon footprint.

Five stars, a really well made book.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

I loved this! This is ideal for a homey person who is looking to be efficient. It’s wonderful with teaching you how to make things to lessen your trash consumption or to lessen your bills to teaching you how to repurpose things (like eggshells). I’m not sure what I want to do first but I loved this and would recommend this to anyone who loves to make, cook and repurpose things. So many great tips in here. You need to check this out.

This book gave me SO MANY things to re-evaluate in my life and help make better decisions to make this world a better place. From the cover and into the book itself, I felt such a peace and calm - it was magical. Julia Watkins has such a "Mother Earth"ly feel to her writing and style, that I just want to implement all her suggestions and help life be better - for me, my family and the world together! There is SO MUCH information in this book that is eye-opening and inspirational. Take your time, don't get overwhelmed, absorb it all and take notes. It's tons of great ideas.

Thank you so much Houghton Mifflin Harcourt & NetGalley for my complimentary eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Wow. I have never considered the amount of work that would go into creating a no-waste home. This is overwhelming to me, but a lovely guide for those who want to pursue it.
