When I tell my book club that I highly recommend this book, they want details. All I can say is, it is one of the most influential books I have read; specifically in regards to food. I’ve highlighted so much in the book that I cannot begin to remember all that I was impressed with. I am impressed by facts. So no, I don’t have facts at my fingertips. The author backs up what he says with peer review studies that are sided at the back of the book. My biggest takeaway is that organic food is overrated. Thanks to NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. (And apologies for taking so long to get around to reading it.)

I thought this was a very well balanced and well informed description of the American food system and nutrition.

I loved everything about this book. Rather than a focus on nutrition or a lack of healthy eating as causes of obesity or poor health, Resetting the Table looks at the impacts of food availability in causing these public health issues.
