The second book in a cute series, which I enjoyed more than the first book. Pick it up if you're looking for something sweet and fun to read. Small town setting in Alaska, a wreckless moose on the run, and recurring characters from the first book.

I finally read this book this past winter. I really hope to be better about reviewing and reading books on time eventually. I ended up reading the rest of the series and loving them all. I am a sucker for a cheesy romance and lots of banter. It gave me all the right feels. I would love to read more romance and holiday books like this one.

The Moose Springs series is absolutely fabulous. Definitely pick up The Tourist Attraction first so you can fall in love with Lana and appreciate Graham and Zoey before you enter the world of this book and jump into the quest save Moose Springs.

If you have read Tourist Attraction, you are probably familiar with familiar faces and scenes around Moose Springs. Graham and Zoey are still important characters in this book however the main focus is on Lana. Lana wants to be loved by the town, however, the town pretty much hates her collectively and hates the idea of bringing more tourists visting Moose Springs.

Lana comes from a family with a lot of money. There is discussion of "old money" and "new money" and ultimately Lana has to decide what she wants for her life. Lana strives for a home and hopes to one day make Moose Springs her home. (Even though looking at Lana, you would think, why would you choose such a tiny town to settle down in)

Rick runs the pool hall (which is literally a bar with a ton of pool tables). You could imagine that in a small town, this would be struggle especially, because unless you're a local, you would not know that pool hall exists. Because Rick is dead-set against letting tourists come into the pool hall. Even if that means he might loose his business. Rick and Lana seem like extremely unlikely matches as they come from completely different worlds. However, their charming first date in a restaurant filled with squirrels had me cackling. And soon I began to root for them even though they both were rooting against each other for soooooooo long.

A few reviews mentioned messy plot lines, with a lot extra plot points. Such as the car accident, sexual harassment, that all happened to supporting characters. However, I did not feel like these were just plot points to be "extra" and to fill the book. I believe these points were needed for Lana to grow and for Lana to realize that she can use her power for what she wants.

As for Christmas books, although this is set during Christmas time, it is not like a Hallmark movie, throwing Christmas down your throat type of Christmas book. Christmas is just the time with a few nods to the season, such as the Santa Moose. Overall, I enjoyed this book and I will continue to read the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this arc in exchange for an honest opinion. This is a closed door romance, so don't except any steam in this one,

DNF - Did not finish. I did not connect with the writing style or plot and will not be finishing this title. Thank you, NetGalley and Publisher for the early copy!

Mistletoe & Mr. Right was a cute book, but I have to say the audiobook didn’t completely suck me in. I think mostly because it was hard to tell when the POV changed. It was still a fast and fun holiday read.

Unfortunately, this one was a DNF for me at the time. I really liked the synopsis but I think I’ll have to go back to it at a later date.

When Lana Montgomery, one of the richest people in town makes a promise to catch a mysterious moose that seems to be destroying christmas related items around town, Rick can't help but fall in love with her, his dream woman and from their, maybe catch a moose together.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right showcases the friends to lovers romance that seems to just not want to stay in the friendzone. We see how perfect Lana and Rick are even though they come from completely different worlds and different social groups. I gave Mistletoe and Mr. Right 4 stars, absolutely loving Lana and Rick's relationship. They had the chemistry from the very start and it just seemed to continue to blossom from there. They fit so perfectly with each other even though they were from different social groups and I think that because of the differences, they were able to enjoy the time together and really connect with things that were unexpected.

I had such a fun time reading about all the fun things they did and loved how funny Rick was throughout the book. There were some instances where it was just really funny and the moment between Lana and Rick was absolutely perfect. They both are able to enjoy each others' company even after all the dumb things that happen.

I think what makes them great is also the ability to share so many funny moments together and similar interests. Sarah Morgenthaler really writes their relationship in the most fun way possible and I had a fun time reading Mistletoe and Mr. Right.

Thank you again to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Book 1 of 2022! 5/5 stars for this Contemporary Romance Read! Okay, so it may sound like a Hallmark movie.... but when a big city girl decides to buy a small town in Alaska......of course she falls in love with the local pool hall owner! Oh, and there's a Moose trying to ruin Christmas. You're going to have to read this series, trust me! Highly recommend!

A hallmark Christmas movie, in a book!

Truly, if hallmark Christmas movies appeal to you, this is a book you’ll enjoy. The entire book was a happily ever after mixed in with several mentions/nods to the holiday season. Very easy to read and light hearted.

This was an incredibly slow burn romance. So slow to get to a kiss, and then to the “scandalous” act of making out for two hours and calling it “swing set activities.” It was way too PG for me considering this was a contemporary adult romance, not a YA novel. Also, the couple came together incredibly easy without many obstacles.

I enjoyed reading the book for the holidays, and think others will too.

I was so excited to revisit Moose Springs!! I loved The Tourist Attraction and having cameos of Graham and Zoey was the cherry on this amazing cake of a story!!

Lana is such a fun character and I loved following her journey to find love and happiness in the wonderful snowy Alaskan town of Moose Springs, where she loved to escape from the craziness of her rich and powerful family growing up and the demands that came with them. I love her boss b*tch attitude and her growth throughout.

Rick is kind and adorable and I loved him so much!! He’s so dang sweet and I’m so glad he gets the happy ending he truly deserves!! 💛

I did find parts of the story a tad repetitive and cheesy.. but at the same time, I love a little cheese. 😉

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this adorable story for my honest review.

This was an enjoyable, humorous, and emotional holiday read. Across the span of this novel, I felt like I experienced the full range of human emotions from laughing at the sarcastic humour to being emotionally distraught and close to tears. Even though that may not sound positive it was an attestant to the novel's success in development to be able to provoke all of those emotions in one book.

I loved each of these characters individually as well as together. Their individual vulnerabilities truly made them more real than just fictional characters. The chemistry between them was amazing but what made this book really enjoyable was how real and raw each of these characters were as individuals.

I will say that although I liked this story, there was something unexplainably missing from it compared to "The Tourist Attraction" (the first book in the series). I did feel that for this novel, the story could have been told in a shorter amount of pages with more success but overall, it was still an enjoyable read.

***Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca as I received a copy of this e-ARC via NetGalley in exchange to read and review.***

Okay, I enjoyed the first book. And then this one felt too long.

I loved the characters and I loved the last half of the book - but the beginning definitely seemed to drag a bit and it took me forever to finish this book.

However, with that, I love Moose Springs, the cast of characters, their backstories and personalities and cannot wait to pick up the third book.

For this book specifically, I really did love Lana. She tries so hard to please both her family and Moose Springs, and it was so lovely to really see her come into her own.

I am really having fun reading holiday romances this season! I know I’m giving this the same 4-star rating but I actually enjoyed Mistletoe and Mr. Right just a smidge more than The Tourist Attraction, mostly because I though Lana was such a fun character! She’s a total badass, and her whole mission to help Moose Springs made for some interesting reading. I also love love loved Rick, such a sweet sweet introvert who had such a cute family composed of a surly twenty-year-old nephew, a grumpy cat and a hedgehog with winter-wear! I definitely enjoyed the holiday vibe of this book, and I of course loved reading about Lana and Rick’s romance. It was a bit more complex than Graham and Zoey’s, which made reading about them all the more enjoyable. I settled in to read Mistletoe and Mr. Right usually at the end of a hard day, and I can attest to the fact that it is a good book for shooing the world’s troubles away!

dnf at 66% in october 2020, i finished this october 2021. it unfortunately stands up pretty badly, while its such a cute premise and I love the hallmark cutsey vibes and its exactly what i am in the mood for - the arc felt at times sloppy and in need of more editing.
some places felt choppy, hard to get the meaning off (i'm ESL so this might be my fault) which sucks because this was something i really wanted to love but it fell of for me.

Another trip to Moose Springs? Count me in! This was another great book by Sarah Morgenthaler. I really enjoyed Lana and Rick's story. This book was such a good read that I almost like it even more than book 1, even though Zoey and Graham are my faves.

Sign me up for any book by Sarah Morgenthaler. I love the way these characters interact with one another. Lana and Rick make my heart melt and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I didn't realize this was book 2 in a series. I'm still interested in it but not in the position to read book one right now. Some day down the line I may pick up book one and then return to this and will update my review then.

I really enjoyed this book about Lana and Rick. I was worried at first because the description said she was a rich socialite, however, she was really down to earth and thought of Moose Springs as her home. She was more at home there with Rick than anywhere in the world.

This is a Christmas Romance Book, and it is the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. I am so very glad that my wish for this book was granted. This book had me at the first sentence. There is so many parts of this book that made me laugh so hard (a giant penis carved out of snow on a mountainside, Santa Moose, the squirrel b&b, tranquilizer dart, and the Santa Suit two sizes to small). This book is so much more then just a romance because it is a little hearted funny with a little romance. I love it takes part in Alaska. I think this book is my new favorite Christmas book. If you need a good laugh then read this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Sourcebooks Casablanca) or author (Sarah Morgenthaler) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review , and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
