This was a cute book, and it follows all the hallmarks of this series from the genre-blending presentation to the trademark humor. I love that it includes diagrams and other problem-solving thinking throughout. This is a great STEM series to have in your library. This entry in space is a logical next step. The fact that it was adapted into a cartoon series should only broaden its appeal with kids. Good book.

I didn't really connect with this story. The art was bright but not really my favorite style. Also, the writing style didn't really stay consistent.

Monkey with a tool belt is super cute and I love the show on Netflix. This was a great addition to the Monkey world and I really enjoyed it.

I read this book with my niece and nephew who were definitely drawn in by the cover art. The illustration is great. The story is fantastic as well. Chico Bon Bon’s can-do attitude teaches children that there’s a solution to most problems with the right tools and some creativity. Space, animals, and tools are a winning combination for just about any child.

This story was fun to read. It was about a monkey that fixes thing in outer space. The illustrations were fun to look at.

Hilarious hijinks on the space station! Fans of Chico Bon Bon the Netflix series will love seeing the Monkey with a Tool Belt back on the printed page.

Really great book. I love this series. I really enjoyed some of the "in" jokes that parents would get, but kids wouldn't (like the Major Tommer tool). One thing to note, it looks like the images need some touching up. Page 36 has some rectangular shapes around the boxes. I'm guessing its from when the artist placed the words on the painted page.

My little guy loves everything about space, so we were excited to read this together. Although we enjoyed the story line, I did feel that the pages were too busy. I believe their goal was to include fun labels and space facts, which I applaud. I just wish they had kept the labels more spaced out (ha!) or labeled fewer things in some of the pictures. It looked overwhelming to younger readers, which is the target audience. Yes, adult help makes them manageable, but even I felt like it was a bit too much info. Aside from that, it's a cute story with an adorable main character!

I am always on the lookout for new picture books for my kids. When I stumbled on this one on NetGalley, I knew they would enjoy it! The story is short and cute, the illustrations are gorgeous, and I'm amazed at how the little monkey fixes the alien's spaceship. I mean ... gummy worms! We were giggling all the way through it and can't wait to read more about this little monkey's adventures!

So happy to have received this book, my daughter squealed as she recognized Chico from the Netflix show. Thr story was a good length for preschool children, long enough to tell a detailed story meanwhile keeping her interest. She laughed at the part about Chico fixing the Robot’s underwear.

I liked the illustration, lots of vivid colours and details, especially the page of them chasing the alien into the lunchroom.

Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts off by Chris Monroe. Monkey with a Tool Belt is a really cute children’s story. My grandsons would absolutely love this book. My grandson Ethan has loved Monkeys since he was very young. When he gets back from vacation with my daughter, her boyfriend and siblings I will read it to him. I will also read it to my three other grandsons. I cannot wait to see what they 🤔 think. I think the pictures are also very interesting lots of objects to spot in them.

Evidently this is a TV Series on Netflix, but since my kids are older I must admit that I was not familiar so I am coming at this on its purely literary value.

Great illustrations throughout combined with very witty banter and asides. Continuing the Monkey/Elephant symbiotic relationship harkening back to the early days of Babar, unlike Zephyr this monkey goes around solving problems, not making them. This of course reminds me of the punchline to that old elementary school jokes "I don't make monkeys I......."

This novella is filled with the usual coterie of cute animals, wise-acre robots, and even one of those Tribbles from Star Trek.

I am sure kids who watch the show will love this and even newbies like me too.

You might as well submit because you know you will like it or not.

It is a fun, engaging read. I can see how kids would enjoy reading the books, but I don't see kids falling in love with the book. The illustrations are very bright and colorful.

Monkey, Chico Bon Bon and his co-pilot Elephant Clark had blasted off into space heading to the Superstar Space Station and Snack bar as the Moon Malt machine had stopped working and Chico had been sent there to fix it with his massive tool belt that carried every tool he could ever need.

However, it wasn’t tools that Chico needed as it turned out that the Moon Malt machine wasn’t working because a fuzzy alien called Zootie was hiding inside of it. She wanted to go back to her own planet but her spaceship didn’t work anymore. I wonder, who could fix a spaceship and help his new friend?

Monkey with a Tool Belt Blasts Off! is a fun, comical book about a monkey, his friend Clark and a fuzzy lost alien. I love the amusing illustrations and the comic book style images.

The tale is a very sweet one of friends helping each other. Chico is a very clever Monkey who certainly knows how to fix things. Even if he wasn’t needed to fix the machine he went on to fix other items on the space station whilst he was there, as well as help the little lost alien Zootie.

Overall, if you have a child that likes fun, short books this will keep them entertained, or it could even work for a reluctant reader as I have known a few in my time who have enjoyed comic book style reads rather than ‘normal’ picture books.

This was an adorable little story about working together to solve problems and helping others. Chico and Clark are sent to fix a malt machine. Inside they find a sweet little alien who is lost and alone. They work with others to find the alien's spaceship and reunite him with his kind. The art work is colorful and fun.

I'm really not the audience for this. I'm sure some kids will enjoy it, but the story--about a technically minded monkey who helps rescue an alien--didn't interest me all that much. It's obviously intended for very young children, and doesn't offer much for older readers (or the parents who'll end up reading this to their kids).

There's nothing really wrong with the story, other than it being a little predictable. The choice to rhyme some parts but not others is a strange one; I'm not a fan of books that do this. I'm also having trouble with the illustrations. This book really needs to be read in a fairly large format, because there are lots of tiny details in the pictures that could easily be missed. (I have a feeling the e-book doesn't really do it justice.)

The book is fine for what it is, and if kids are a fan of the character, they'll probably enjoy it. I didn't find it particularly memorable, however, and I would probably only recommend it to very young children.

This is a great story of a monkey and his co pilot going out to space to repair the Moon Malt machine. Perfect for my toddlers as they love rocket ships and space stories. Chico Bon Bon is an adorable Monkey and the star of this Children's book. In the book he is blasting of to Space on an adventure. He and his friend Clark are headed to the Superstar Space Station to fix the broken Moon Malt Machine in their snack bar. Chico Bon Bon has his trusty tool belt with him which is equipped with all the tools a Monkey would need to fix just about any machine. When they get to the Space Station and take a look at the malt machine, Chico Bon Bon couldn't find anything wrong until a small purple things zipped out the machine and took off around the stations. When they finally catch it they find out it is alien named Zootie. Her ship has broken down and she landed on the station, but was hiding because she didn't know if she was safe or not. Chico decides to go look at her ship and fix it so she gt back home.

This is a fun story and if you think about it teaches a bit about helping others and being friendly.
