I liken this book to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. You go in and you are driving along and then suddenly, you take a right turn. You think okay, this is the way we are going but you would be wrong. Boom! You are turning left. Okay. I get it now but oh no you do not. You take another quick turn and another quick turn until you are laughing and wondering what just happened. Holding someone hostage takes on a whole new meaning.
The way Aimee Molloy tells this story is so different from anything I have read in a while. I was so sure I knew what I was reading and who I was reading but I was so wrong. I love the way the mystery played out and how we got to know who each character was. The main characters were not angels but they were human. They were flawed and I was there for all of it.
Thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins for a copy of this book.
